Chapter 122 Can He Say He Doesn't Know Either?
Richard went to see a psychologist.
The psychologist thought it might be phantom pain after seeing his test results.
He tried counseling and giving advice, but it didn't help; Richard still felt the pain.
Richard then asked a friend for help and saw another famous psychologist.
The result was the same.
The psychologist had even ran a test.
After reviewing the results, the psychologist said it wasn't a psychological issue and suggested seeing a fortune teller.
Richard's body and mind were fine, so fortune-telling seemed like the last option.
Richard wasn't too disappointed; he had prepared for this.
Elizabeth, a fortune teller, could have harmed him.
Instead of going straight to Paul, he asked a friend to recommend a certified fortune teller.
He visited three fortune tellers, but none could help.
So, Richard called Paul.
Meanwhile, at the Clark Group.
The fortune teller hired by the Clark Group was at the company to make some adjustments.
This master came every three months or so.
Paul, the chairman, had his office checked each time.
This time, the master made two small adjustments.
After finishing, the master looked at Paul.
"I sense your children are in trouble."
Paul was stunned. "Please, Mr. Romero, can you elaborate?"
His secretary had checked, and there was no connection between Alfonso and Brenda, or with Brenda's biological parents' family.
Despite the results, his suspicion wasn't completely gone.
Alfonso said, "You have a son and a daughter, and they seem to have been harmed, causing physical problems."
Paul hadn't heard anything from his family.
Just as he was about to respond, his phone rang.
Seeing it was Richard, he answered, "What's up?"
Richard was arrogant to outsiders but respectful to Paul.
"Dad, I need your help with something."
Paul had a guess. "What kind of help?"
What Alfonso had said might be about Richard.
Richard explained, "Brenda and I were beaten by Elizabeth, and the places where we were hit have been hurting ever since. We saw doctors, and all the test results were normal. But my chest and stomach have been in constant pain. So, I want to ask for Mr. Romero's help, the fortune teller hired by the Clark Group."
Paul was surprised. "Who did you say hit you?"
Richard replied, "Elizabeth. And coincidentally, Hubert and his assistant were also beaten by Rebecca at that time. They have been in pain too, and their test results are also normal. It can't be such a coincidence, so there must be something wrong with our pain."
He added, "Elizabeth is a fortune teller, so she must have done something to us."
Paul hadn't expected Richard and Brenda's problems to be caused by Elizabeth, and Alfonso had even foreseen it.
He still had some doubts about whether Alfonso had foreseen it or already knew about it.
He thought for a moment and said, "Hold on."
Then he asked Alfonso, "Mr. Alfonso, my children indeed have physical problems. Can you come over now to help check on them?"
Alfonso smiled and said, "Sure, let them come over."
Paul told Richard, "Bring everyone to my office at the Clark Group."
Richard didn't want to involve Hubert, but he did as Paul asked.
After hanging up, he messaged Hubert and went to find Brenda.
Brenda was in Arnold's room, being comforted by Arnold and Enrique.
Seeing Richard, the two were unhappy.
Arnold frowned, "Richard, why are you bullying Brenda too? That's too much."
Enrique added, "Yeah, Richard, if you're having a hard time, don't take it out on Brenda!"
Richard stayed silent, thinking they were being stupid.
He didn't argue, knowing they'd find out soon enough.
He looked at Brenda, "I talked to Dad. We're seeing the Clark Group's fortune teller. You in?"
Brenda immediately said, "I'll go. Now?"
Richard nodded. "Let's go."
He left the room and asked the butler to arrange a driver since his chest hurt too much to drive.
Arnold and Enrique were dissatisfied but didn't dare confront Richard directly.
They had been harmed by him many times as kids.
"Brenda, we'll go with you."
"Yeah, with us there, Richard won't bully you again."
The two stood up to protect Brenda.
Brenda smiled through her tears. "Okay, thank you, Arnold, Enrique."
She thought, 'Richard must have been harmed by Elizabeth. Once the fortune teller helps, he'll be back to normal.'
The four of them went to Paul's office together.
When they arrived, Hubert and Angela were already there, talking business with Paul.
Paul stopped the conversation and looked at Alfonso. "Mr. Romero, they're here. Please help."
Alfonso nodded with a smile. "Okay!"
He first checked Richard but couldn't see anything from his sense of destiny or the outside of his body.
He asked Richard about the pain location and placed his hand on Richard's chest but still couldn't sense any evil aura or witchcraft.
He then checked the other three with the same result.
The smile on Alfonso's face faded a bit as he was unsure of what was going on.
He thought for a moment and took out four talisman papers from his pocket, handing them to the four. "Try keeping these close to your body."
They took them and kept them close, but after a while, the pain didn't lessen. It seemed to hurt even more.
Suddenly, Richard screamed, "Ah!"
Everyone saw a flash of fire in his chest pocket.
When the fire disappeared, Richard reached into his pocket, shocked. "The talisman paper turned to ash."
He pulled out a handful of black ash.
Just then, Hubert felt a burning sensation where he kept the talisman paper as well and pulled out a handful of black ash too.
Brenda and Angela had the same experience.
Seeing this, Paul asked Alfonso, "Mr. Alfonso, what's going on?"
The smile on Alfonso's face stiffened. Could he say he didn't know either?
