Chapter 46 Is Elizabeth About to Mess Things Up?
That evening, Elizabeth and her crew came back from dinner, with the live stream camera trailing them into their room. The camera panned around, showing off the space.
Even though Elizabeth and Nancy had only been there for less than a week, they had put a lot of effort into decorating. The room was spotless, with different styles of storage baskets scattered around. They had even woven flower baskets, dug up soil, and planted wildflowers. They made vases and filled them with dried flowers, giving the room a fresh vibe.

Arthur noticed the sudden spike in viewers and couldn't help but smile. He turned to the assistant director and said, "Looks like Elizabeth's got some serious appeal. This alone has pulled in a ton of attention."
Initially, he had invited Elizabeth as a favor. He thought Eugene and Kevin, the siblings, would be the main draw. But he hadn't expected Elizabeth to have so many talents beyond her fortune-telling. Her good nature and skills naturally attracted more fans. Arthur felt immensely grateful for having invited Elizabeth. Most of the highlights of this episode were thanks to her and her group.
The assistant director nodded. "Yeah, Elizabeth's beauty and temperament are really unique, and she's so talented. It's hard for her not to become popular."
The assistant director then asked, "Arthur, have you decided where the next episode will be? I've been getting calls from people wanting to be guests."
Arthur replied, "We'll figure out the guests later. If needed, we can add two more. I was planning to go to Willowbrook Vale, but I got a call from the president's secretary at Clark Entertainment today. Mr. Clark wants to invest in our next episode, but they want it filmed abroad."
The assistant director was surprised. "Why would they want that?"
Arthur, lowering his voice so only the assistant director could hear, said, "I've got some insider info. Mr. Clark is the older brother of the Kevin siblings. Their request is probably because of Brenda."
Brenda was studying abroad, and if the next episode was filmed overseas, it would give her a significant edge. The assistant director caught on and asked, "So, are you going to agree?"
Arthur grinned. "Why not? With someone funding an overseas shoot, we save a ton of money. If Brenda wants to compete with Elizabeth, let them. I was worried about highlights for the next episode, but now we've got them."
Deep down, Arthur favored Elizabeth over Brenda. The assistant director gave him a knowing smile. "That's why you're the best."
The next day, Elizabeth and her group helped a local farmer deliver goods in the morning. They had lunch in town, spending some money. After returning to the village, they went to Terry's house to practice a puppet show and rehearsed with the children in the afternoon. Elizabeth didn't need to perform solo, so she helped by giving feedback.
As she was watching, Robert walked in with a young man. Robert went straight to Elizabeth. "Elizabeth, my cousin needs your help."
Elizabeth smiled at them. "Please, sit down. What do you need help with?"
The two sat on the empty chairs next to Elizabeth. Robert said, "His son wakes up startled every time he sleeps. Recently, every noon and night, he wakes up crying as if he's been scared."
Elizabeth asked, "Have you taken him to the hospital?"
The young man, Jimmy Jones, replied, "We did. The county hospital found nothing wrong. We also took him to a hospital in the state capital, and they said there was no problem. The elders say he might be haunted by some ghost. My cousin told me you're a master of divination, so we wanted to ask for your help."
Hearing this, Elizabeth didn't refuse. "Alright, I'll go to your house and take a look."
The two immediately stood up to thank her. "Thank you so much."
Raymond and the others were curious, so they let the kids keep practicing while they followed along. Even Arthur and the assistant director tagged along.
Jimmy's family was one of the wealthier households in the village. They had a three-story house with a big yard. As soon as they entered the yard, they heard a child crying loudly. Jimmy led Elizabeth and the others quickly into the living room. There, a young woman was holding a loudly crying two-year-old boy, trying to soothe him.
Seeing them come in, Jimmy's wife looked at Jimmy with a worried expression. "He woke up crying again."
Jimmy nodded at her and then turned to Elizabeth. "Elizabeth, please take a look."
Elizabeth replied, "Alright." She stepped forward and extended her hands to Jimmy's wife. "Let me hold the child."
Jimmy's wife knew that Jimmy and Robert had gone to get a skilled master to look at the child. But seeing the young and beautiful Elizabeth, she hesitated. Was she the master? She didn't look like one!
While she was in a daze, Jimmy said, "Hurry up and give the child to Elizabeth!"
She snapped out of it and carefully handed the child to Elizabeth. Although she was skeptical about Elizabeth, with the child in such a state, she had no choice but to let her try.
The child continued to cry and struggle in Elizabeth's arms.
