Chapter 465 Amy Has the Right to Know

Xavier and Ethan were handcuffed with special restraints and loaded into the prison van.

Alaric turned to Elizabeth, "Thank you so much for today. Without your help, we wouldn't have been able to uncover the crimes of these two presidents, let alone capture and detain them." With these two captured, the special department could also conduct a thorough cleanup.

Elizabeth smiled. "You're welcome. Beyond personal grudges, this is also part of my duty. Make sure to strip them of their powers first; otherwise, they might cause more harm."

The special department had methods to strip seers of their powers. For example, when they caught powerful diviners, they had to strip them of their powers first to ensure no accidents. She didn't need to personally handle this part.

Alaric nodded. "I understand. The first thing we'll do when we get back is to strip them of their center of Inner Energy."

The center of Inner Energy was where a diviner's energy was concentrated. By stripping it, the diviner could no longer gather or manipulate energy and evil auras, rendering them powerless. For diviners, losing their center of Inner Energy was equivalent to becoming ordinary and ineffective.

Elizabeth smiled again. "Good." For people like Ethan and Xavier, becoming useless would have been something very hard to accept. To make them wish they were dead, they needed to be attacked on multiple fronts. People who cared so much about their lifespan wouldn't have had the heart to commit suicide even if they became useless. So, they had to suffer physical and mental torment every day.

Alaric left Percy behind to help Elizabeth deal with the evil aura rift while he took the others to escort Xavier and Ethan back.

After they left, Elizabeth noticed Zachary staring blankly at the shrinking rift, which still emitted an evil aura. She asked, "What's wrong with you?"

Zachary snapped out of it. He replied, "I don't know why, but when I see this thing, I feel like it has something to do with me. It feels like it exists for me, like it wants to swallow me at any moment. It poses a great threat to me." If it weren't for the existence of this thing, he wouldn't have been so wary of Xavier.

Xavier's strength was indeed not weak, but in terms of energy depth and combat skills, Zachary was superior.

Elizabeth looked thoughtfully at the nearly disappearing rift. She remarked, "I also think there's something wrong with this. Xavier was taken away, and it wants to disappear too. It just feels off."

The rift was disappearing, not because of their suppression, but on its own.

Zachary nodded in agreement. "I think so too."

Elizabeth then said to Percy, "When you get back, investigate Xavier and find out what he used to control this evil sorcery rift. Try to locate its real lair. If we can't destroy it, it will be a major hidden danger." It was clear that Xavier had temporarily summoned it, indicating that it had been hiding somewhere.

Percy nodded. "Got it! I'm planning to do a paternity test with Ethan and then make the results public. Then I'll show it to my mom." Let Amy see clearly that the man she loved for so many years wasn't a young handsome guy, but an old man. He wondered what Amy's reaction would be.

Elizabeth chuckled, understanding his intentions. "I agree, Amy has the right to know."

Percy chuckled back. "I think so too."

Elizabeth asked, "Will the special department make their crimes public?"

Percy replied, "Yes, this is also to provide an explanation to the masters of the Divination Association. It will serve as a warning to prevent others from making wild speculations."

With Xavier and Ethan captured, not only would the special department undergo a thorough cleanup, but the Seers' Association would too.

Elizabeth smiled, "That's good." She also thought it should be made public. After all, the Divination Association would need to replace two presidents, and it couldn't be kept secret. Making their crimes public and punishing them through legal means would also be justice for those they had harmed.

Once the evil aura rift completely closed and the ancient tomb returned to peace, Elizabeth posted a few spell scrolls in the tomb chamber and left with Zachary.

Two days later, the special department finished interrogating Ethan. With Alaric's permission, Elizabeth called Natalie and informed her about Ethan and Xavier being captured.

Natalie had already known Ethan was her biological father but hadn't expected Xavier to be her grandfather. No wonder their relationship had been kept secret. No one would guess they were father and son, especially since Xavier looked even younger than Ethan.

Natalie and Percy were indeed similar in temperament. Her first thought was also to do a paternity test and make it public. She also wanted Piper to see the true face of the Ethan she had loved all these years.

Vincent had been a handsome guy when he was young, but Ethan was an old man who temporarily became young by absorbing others' Generational Blessings. Knowing this truth, Piper probably wouldn't be blinded by love anymore.

Fortunately, Vincent's divorce lawsuit had already succeeded. Even if Piper truly regretted it and sincerely sought forgiveness to continue the relationship, it would be too late.

Elizabeth supported Natalie's decision. Besides telling Natalie, Elizabeth also called Orlando to inform him. With Ethan captured, the Baker family no longer had to worry about their Generational Blessings being taken.

Orlando was silent for a while after hearing the news. He thought for a moment and sighed, "I didn't expect that after all these years of acting, he would be caught so quickly."

Elizabeth guessed his complex feelings. He might be wondering if he could have avoided acting so cautiously all these years.

She replied, "You were right to act all these years. The special department found that Ethan had once used his students to set up evil seer sorcery to harm two families whose Generational Blessings he wanted to take. Because the heads of these families noticed something was wrong, they weren't deceived by Ethan's women or blinded by love and started investigating. Not only were they killed, but their parents and children also met the same fate. If you hadn't acted all these years, Eugene and Rebecca might not have survived either."

Hearing Elizabeth's words, Orlando stopped dwelling on it. He smiled. "I'm glad my efforts weren't in vain." One important reason he acted was to protect Eugene and Rebecca.
