Chapter 192 What Does Natalie Mean?

Natalie quickly fixed her emotions.

She said weakly, "But Ethan told me to perform well in the live streaming so that everyone would like me."

She emphasized, "And he told me to try to be friends with Elizabeth."

Otherwise, Piper would definitely make her help Brenda target Elizabeth.

"I can't just leave the live streaming halfway through to go to the hospital to see Brenda, can I?" Natalie said.

Piper held back the critical words she was about to utter.

Her attitude softened a lot. "Since Ethan told you to do it, you should listen to him. After the live streaming today, remember to go to the hospital to take care of Brenda."

She added, "Over the years, she has given our family so much money, allowing us to live well. You better not harm her."

Natalie sneered; she and her father, Vincent Turner, hadn't used any of that money.

She knew it was pointless to argue with Piper.

So she simply replied, "I understand. I'll go to the hospital tonight."

Piper's call to criticize her must have been instigated by Brenda; she didn't believe otherwise.

Since Brenda wanted her to go to the hospital so badly, she would definitely go.

Piper said with satisfaction, "That's right. You two are sisters after all. Take good care of Brenda in the future."

While Natalie maintained a cold expression, her tone remained gentle as she responded, "I understand."

Then Piper hung up the phone.

A few minutes later, Natalie's phone rang again.

When she saw the caller ID, her cold face softened.

"Dad!"

Vincent's concerned voice came through, "Natalie, are you getting used to being abroad? You walked a lot during the day; are you tired?"

This time, Natalie's voice was genuinely cheerful, "I feel much better now. Walking that much doesn't tire me out. But Dad, don't stare at your phone all day, or your eyes will hurt."

The two chatted for a while before hanging up the phone.

Natalie felt much better this time.

She went to wash up and put on new makeup.

Half an hour later, the four of them left the hotel to go to the Internet café where Elizabeth was.

By this time, Elizabeth and the others had played several rounds of games and were taking a break.

Seeing the four of them come over, they were a bit puzzled.

Raymond looked at the four and asked, "You're not here to join the competition too, are you?"

Kevin said, "We're not joining; we're just here to have some fun today."

Then he looked at Elizabeth and nudged Arnold. "Elizabeth, Arnold has something to tell you."

Elizabeth looked at the two. "What's up?"

Arnold was speechless at Kevin; he wasn't even ready, and Kevin had already pushed him out.

He forced a smile and looked at Elizabeth.

With a somewhat pitiful expression, he said, "Elizabeth, my throat really hurts."

Elizabeth was speechless. "Shouldn't you see a doctor?"

She roughly understood why Arnold had come to her.

Whenever he drank too much, his throat would become hoarse and sore.

Medication and injections took effect slowly.

The throat lozenges she had specially made for him worked quickly and effectively.

She had spent more than half a year researching and making those lozenges.

Looking back now, she felt it wasn't worth it.

However, she didn't want to waste her effort.

When she returned to the country, she could find someone to collaborate with to mass-produce and sell the lozenges.

Let more people could benefit.

Arnold said pitifully, "You know this is an old problem of mine; going to the hospital won't help. Can you make some throat lozenges for me?"

He added, "I won't let you do it for nothing."

Elizabeth decisively refused, "No."

She sarcastically said, "After what happened just a few days ago, how shameless can you be to come asking me to make throat lozenges for you? And do I look like someone who needs your little reward?"

Arnold fell silent. He was scolded by Elizabeth again.

Kevin tried hard to hold back his laughter.

Sure enough, Arnold was just asking to be scolded.

He had told Arnold he was too confident, but Arnold didn't believe him.

Now he deserved it.

Arnold glared at Kevin. "What are you laughing at?"

He was being mocked, and Kevin was gloating.

Just like Richard said, they had a fake brotherly bond.

Arnold looked apologetically at Elizabeth. "I know I was wrong. Please forgive me."

To mend his relationship with Elizabeth, he was really trying hard.

It was his first time humbling himself and speaking softly to someone.

Elizabeth sneered. "Sorry, no forgiveness. I hold grudges."

Arnold's expression changed.

He had apologized so humbly to her during the live streaming, yet she remained utterly cold-hearted.

He asked with a hurt expression, "Do you not care about our sibling bond at all?"

Elizabeth was speechless. "When did we ever have a sibling bond? I don't think your priority should be treating your throat but getting your head checked. You're too dumb."

Arnold fell silent. Was she implying he had a mental problem?

Elizabeth couldn't be bothered with him and turned to Raymond and the others. "Let's continue."

The others had noticed that Elizabeth really didn't show any kindness to the Clark brothers.

Naturally, they wouldn't persuade Elizabeth.

And because they were friends with Elizabeth, they didn't like the Clark brothers either.

So they all agreed, "Sure, let's continue!"

Natalie looked at Elizabeth with a bit of admiration.

Her eyes were bright, and she muttered softly, "Elizabeth is so cool!"

The others didn't hear what she said, but Elizabeth did.

She looked at Natalie with surprise and confusion.

She saw Natalie's bright eyes.

What did Natalie mean?

Was Natalie really her fan? Or was she pretending?

Seeing Elizabeth look over, Natalie got a bit excited and shyly lowered her head.

Even Elizabeth was a bit confused now.

But just by looking at Natalie, she didn't feel any dislike or aversion.

However, she wouldn't let her guard down.

Natalie shyly lowered her head, and Elizabeth looked away.

She continued playing games with the others.

Arnold felt very embarrassed.

However, more than that, he felt a bitter sadness; Elizabeth's heart was so hard.

He glanced at Elizabeth and deliberately said loudly to Kevin, "How about we go to a bar for a drink?"

In the past, if he mentioned going for a drink, Elizabeth would be concerned and tell him not to go or to drink less.

Now he just wanted to be a bit reckless and see her reaction.

To his surprise, Elizabeth didn't even look at him.

She started playing games with Raymond, laughing and chatting, and even put on her headphones.

Arnold fell silent.

His heart was almost completely broken today.

Kevin, after watching the scene, felt a bit disappointed too.

Elizabeth indeed hated them now, and it seemed like she wouldn't soften her heart.

He pulled Arnold's arm. "Forget about drinking; let's just sit and play some games."

Arnold, feeling down, let Kevin pull him to an empty seat nearby.

Eugene wisely kept quiet this time and sat down too.

Natalie sat in the empty seat directly behind Elizabeth.

She didn't play much on the computer but leaned back in her chair, watching Elizabeth play games with bright eyes.

When Elizabeth and her team won, she couldn't help but cheer softly from behind.

This made Arnold and the other two feel a bit speechless. Was Natalie Elizabeth's fan?
