Chapter 126 Maybe I Got in Their Way
Dominic saw how anxious Richard was and held back his words.
It seemed Richard Clark knew who did it but didn't care.
Dominic pointed to the crystal ball. "Each of you needs to drop some blood on this, and I'll sort it out."
Paul frowned. "Blood?"
He believed in divination and knew one shouldn't give blood or hair to a diviner lightly.
Dominic explained, "Their situation is special. We need blood to track the person with the evil aura and break the spell."
Paul hesitated. "Dropping blood doesn't seem right."
Who knew if the spell could be broken with blood, and what if it was used for something else?
Dominic looked helpless. "Without blood, we can't break the spell."
He emphasized, "The evil aura is gone. We need blood to find who harmed you. There's no other way."
Hubert asked, "If we don't resolve it, how long will we be in pain? It can't last forever, right?"
Dominic replied, "About ten days to half a month."
Hubert said, "Then I won't resolve it."
He wouldn't give his blood to a diviner. He could endure ten days to half a month.
Richard didn't care much but seeing Hubert, he didn't decide immediately.
Brenda looked at Dominic. "It hurts too much. I can't bear it. I'll drop blood."
She persuaded Richard, "Richard, you should try it too. How can you endure such pain for ten days to half a month? This master is Mr. Romero's senior, and Mr. Romero is the Clark Group's divination master, not a fraud."
Richard saw Hubert shaking his head slightly.
So he said, "You go first, I'll think about it."
Brenda used a fruit knife to cut her finger and squeezed a few drops of blood onto the crystal ball.
Dominic took out a spellscroll, stuck it on the blood-stained crystal ball, and muttered a spell, making gestures with one hand.
Meanwhile, in the studio.
Elizabeth, reading a script, suddenly looked up.
She took out three crystal stones from her bag, turned them over in her hand, and said, "Release!"
The empty glass on her table shattered.
Rebecca, in the office, receiving a document from a detective, looked up. "What's wrong?"
Elizabeth replied, "Someone's trying to break my spell. It must be the divination master Richard and the others hired."
Rebecca asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
The other party must be powerful to find Elizabeth.
Elizabeth shook her head. "I'm fine, they can't hurt me. They must have used Brenda's blood to find me. Although the evil aura I cast on them has dissipated, there's a blood curse method that can break it. They can only break the spell by finding me through the blood."
Rebecca asked, "They can't hurt you, right?"
Elizabeth said, "He's powerful among divination masters, but he can't hurt me."
Diviners were divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
In her past life, she was a beginner. After being reborn, she broke through to the intermediate level.
The other party should have just entered the intermediate level.
Since her return, she had been improving her strength.
Plus, she had protective divination artifacts left by Wayne, making her stronger than the other party.
Rebecca sighed in relief. "That's good."
The Clark Group.
The spellscroll on Dominic's crystal ball suddenly ignited and turned to ash.
Dominic's face changed. "The other party is strong. One person's blood isn't enough."
He looked at Richard and the others, clearly expecting more.
Hubert and Richard didn't move.
Angela, in too much pain to wait, stepped forward. "I'll try."
She mimicked Brenda and dropped her blood on the crystal ball.
Dominic placed a new spellscroll and continued chanting.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth noticed the force attacking her was stronger but still easily handled it.
She guessed Angela had donated blood. Hubert wouldn't be so proactive, and if it were Richard's blood, the attack would be much stronger due to their blood relation.
She raised an eyebrow. "Seems like someone wants to hurt me, not just break the spell."
She felt the blood curse's murderous intent, trying to use her own spell to backfire and harm her.
Rebecca asked, "Is it Richard and the others, or this master the one want to deal with you?"
Elizabeth wasn't sure if Richard and the others had requested it, but the diviner definitely wanted to harm her. "Maybe I'm in their way."
She remembered her past life when she discovered Wayne's death wasn't simple and started investigating. She was attacked by a divination array in an underground parking lot, injured, and passed out. When she woke up, she was tied up with Brenda. She tried to escape using the evil aura but was fatally shot by the guard.
She suspected her past death was linked to Brenda and a divination master behind her. She didn't know if the current diviner was a minion or the mastermind.
Rebecca worried. "Will they try to harm you?"
Elizabeth smiled reassuringly. "It's okay."
She added playfully, "Let's see if Richard will donate his blood to hurt me. I'm not afraid now, but if he's that stupid..."
She continued, "If his blood reaches that diviner, he'll be in big trouble."
The other party having Clark Family blood would affect her, but it wasn't impossible to resolve, just costly. Richard would pay a higher price.
Rebecca said, "If he's still ruthless and wants to deal with you, he might be that stupid."
"Let's wait and see," Elizabeth said.
Rebecca added angrily, "If he gives his blood to that diviner, don't show him any mercy."
Elizabeth nodded. "Absolutely."
She took out a spellscroll and grabbed the attacking energy, muttering a spell. The scroll burned, turning into blue smoke.
Seeing Rebecca's curiosity and worry, Elizabeth said, "If you want to know, we can take a look."
She hacked into the surveillance in Paul's office.
Paul's office had a camera that avoided his desk but showed the entire office.
Rebecca leaned in to watch.
