Chapter 20

When the notification pinged, Elizabeth and her friends opened the group chat.

Seeing Raymond's post, they all burst out laughing.

Elizabeth could just picture Kevin fuming with anger.

She grinned at Raymond. "Nice job!"

Raymond lifted his chin proudly. "Naturally!"

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, their host, Robert, took Elizabeth and the others to the orchard.

Besides the four of them, there were others helping out too.

At the orchard, Robert handed each of them a pair of gloves. "You can help pick the fruit."

They put on straw hats and followed the helpers to pick the fruit.

The scorching sun beat down on them.

Nancy sighed, "Thank God Elizabeth thought of making straw hats in advance; otherwise, our faces would be toast today."

Ronald and Raymond nodded in agreement. "Yeah, thank goodness for Elizabeth."

They chatted idly while picking fruit.

After a while, Robert came back from the village store with a few bottles of mineral water for Elizabeth and the others.

Elizabeth took the water and looked up at Robert. "Thanks!"

She noticed his luck is not right in the readings.

Elizabeth asked, "Where's your son?"

Robert smiled. "He went out to play early this morning."

His son was only seven and too young to help in the orchard. At that mischievous age, he roamed the village all day, and they didn't try to control him.

Elizabeth frowned slightly. "I sense something's off; your son might be in danger."

Robert was taken aback. "What kind of danger?"

Could this stunningly beautiful actress also tell fortunes? Was she serious?

Elizabeth's concern deepened. "He might drown."

She quickly calculated and then sprinted towards the orchard gate. "Hurry, or it’ll be too late."

Everyone was startled when Elizabeth suddenly took off running.

Raymond tossed the peach he was holding into the basket. "Let's go check it out, too."

He followed her.

Robert, who initially didn't believe her, now felt a sudden panic and chased after them without hesitation.

In the live stream, some viewers thought Elizabeth was just putting on a show, while others were curious to see if it was true.

Everyone watched the screen intently.

Even many viewers from another livestream switched over to watch this one after hearing about it.
Kevin and Eugene's fans naturally took the opportunity to mock and disbelieve, spamming the chat with insults, which annoyed the other viewers.

Using Robert's sense of destiny and his aura, Elizabeth pinpointed his son's location.

Ten minutes later, Elizabeth arrived at the reservoir built for irrigation.

Standing by the reservoir, she immediately saw two boys swimming and playing in the water.

They were having fun, unaware of the impending danger.

Elizabeth saw their sense of destiny fluctuating violently, a sign of imminent disaster.

She quickly took off her hat and gloves, threw them on the ground, removed her shoes, and jumped into the water, swimming towards the boys.

Those who followed her were stunned.

The live-stream viewers were also puzzled, thinking Elizabeth was making a fuss over nothing.

Robert, seeing his son swimming in the water, breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing Elizabeth swimming towards him, he shouted, "Louis Williams, get out of the water now!"

Louis looked over at Robert but didn't swim back.

Instead, he swam further away. "No, I want to play a bit longer."

His cousin, Craig Williams, followed him.

Raymond saw Elizabeth swimming resolutely towards the boys.

Although he hadn't known Elizabeth for long, he trusted she had her reasons for what she did.

Seeing the two boys swimming away, he jumped into the water and swam towards them.

The people on the shore were once again stunned by Raymond's actions.

What was he doing?

At that moment, the reservoir's water suddenly surged forward, creating several large waves that swept the two frightened boys away.

Robert's face changed. "Damn it, who opened the reservoir gate?"

He recognized the scene immediately. It happened every time they released water for irrigation.

Seeing Louis being swept towards the gate, Robert's legs nearly gave out from fear.

The reservoir was built on a mountain, with a drop of several dozen meters to the downstream irrigation area. The water flow was extremely rapid during release. The chances of survival for the two boys being swept down were slim.

Robert was about to jump in to save Louis but was held back by two companions who had followed.

"Don't panic. Those two celebrities have already swum to the kids."

"Yeah, if you jump in now, it will be too late and might even cause more trouble."
