Chapter 335 It's Over
The three of them were freaking out, especially Oscar. He tried to keep it together and yelled, "You're full of it. We're just here in Aevum City for fun, staying in hotels. We don't have any yard."
Caleb chimed in, "Yeah, we stay in hotels in Aevum City. No yard for us." They had been crashing at a hotel for the past few days.
He turned to the cops and said, "If you don't believe us, check the hotel."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow and said, "Denying it won't help."
She told the cops, "I can show you where the yard they bought is. Go check it out. There are innocent girls locked up there and bodies buried in the yard. It's a murder case."
The cops got a bit nervous, thinking it might be true. "Alright, let's go check the yard first," one of them said.
Then he turned to the three, "If she's lying, we'll deal with it. But if she's right, you guys are in big trouble." The three of them didn't want to go and kept struggling and arguing, but it was no use; they were taken out of the city together.
On the outskirts of Aevum City, there were lots of houses but no tall buildings. Elizabeth, sensing the trio's fate, led the way with everyone following. The live broadcast camera was on them, and a bunch of curious onlookers trailed behind.
They stopped in a secluded alley. There was only one house here, with a yard gate at the very end. Elizabeth said, "It's here."
Seeing the yard, Caleb and the other two looked terrified. They didn't expect Elizabeth to be so powerful, able to figure this out. But they still denied it, saying it wasn't their yard and refused to take out the key to open the door.
Elizabeth told Eugene, "Caleb has the key in the bag at his waist. Take it out and open the door." Eugene turned around and found a bunch of keys in Caleb's bag.
Caleb wanted to kick him; Eugene was really dumb.
Eugene took the keys and tried them, using one to open the yard gate. At this point, those who were still half-believing or even disbelieving were stunned. It actually opened. That could only mean this was indeed the yard of the three.
After the gate opened, Elizabeth went in alone.
A room door opened, and a man who looked like he had just woken up came out. When he saw Elizabeth and the group, he was stunned. "Who are you?"
Seeing Caleb and the other two behind, he respectfully said, "Caleb, you're back." Caleb and the other two just wanted to kill him. He had no sense of the situation and called out to them. Originally, they wanted to keep denying, but now they couldn't.
Oscar was the most panicked. Caleb and Victor were thinking about how to escape.
Elizabeth pointed to a room in the corner and said, "The girl they imprisoned is in that room."
As soon as she said that, the new guy's face changed. He noticed the uniformed cops and panicked, not knowing what to do. He thought about running but realized too many people were blocking the doorway.
The cops quickly approached and pushed open the door of the room, their expressions changing. Inside, three women were found with their hands and feet bound, and their mouths sealed with tape. Seeing the cops, the three captives cried out in relief.
The cameraman followed, recording the situation in the room for the live broadcast. The audience was first shocked, then started cursing Caleb and the other two for being so evil.
The cops rescued the three women and started questioning them. They found out the women were friends on a trip to Aevum City. A few days ago, they met Caleb and his crew, who invited them to hang out. They even hit up a bar together. After a few drinks, the women felt dizzy.
Caleb and his gang offered to take them back to their hotel but instead brought them to this yard and locked them up. The women overheard plans to sell them abroad and were terrified but couldn't escape, always being watched. They also heard that when Caleb and the others returned, they planned to rape them.
They deeply regretted letting their guard down after being approached by strangers during their trip. At the time, Caleb and his buddies didn't seem like bad guys, especially since Caleb showed them his video account, which lowered their suspicions. They thought it was harmless to stroll around and have a few drinks together. Little did they know, these men had such evil intentions.
After rescuing the women, the cops started to believe in Elizabeth's divination skills. One officer asked, "You mentioned earlier that there are bodies buried in the yard. Where are they?"
Elizabeth said, "Under the big tree in the backyard. Dig 30 feet, and you'll find them."
This was a major case, so the cops immediately reported to their superiors. They found a shovel in the yard and headed to the big tree in the backyard, digging where Elizabeth had pointed.
Caleb's follower was already sitting on the ground, feeling weak all over. He had only one thought, "it's over." At this point, they not only regretted messing with Elizabeth but also hated Caleb.
After a while, the cops indeed dug up two bodies from under the tree. The live broadcast camera didn't show this, but the audience knew there were bodies under the tree.
The cops questioned Oscar about the bodies. With the murders discovered, Oscar didn't deny it anymore. He admitted that he had tricked these two people here from out of town.
One victim was unintentionally killed during his assault when she resisted too much. The other was left confined in the yard while he went out to have fun and, having forgotten about her, returned a week later to find she had died.
After confessing, he pointed to Caleb and said, "He was involved too. Not only did he participate in the rape, but he also helped bury the bodies."
He knew Caleb had a powerful aunt, and it was because of his aunt that he was exposed. So he deliberately dragged Caleb into it, hoping Amy could save them all.
Oscar, influenced by evil, had all his inner darkness brought out. He was no longer rational or calm. He had only one thought: if he couldn't have a good time, neither could Caleb.
Caleb was stunned. Then his face changed, and he cursed, "Nonsense, I didn't even know there were bodies under the tree. How could I have helped bury them? I never raped those two people. Don't frame me."
He really hadn't participated, but Oscar insisted that Caleb was involved. Then Caleb, along with Oscar, Victor and two other cronies from the yard, were taken away by the cops.
Eugene watched Caleb being taken away, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions. He truly hadn't expected that Caleb had sunk to such depths of depravity. He had assumed Caleb was just out playing all day, never imagining he had committed so many illegal acts.
This realization made Eugene even more anxious. Did Amy know about Caleb's misdeeds? How many times had she covered for him?
The more he thought about it, the more he felt Amy was vastly different from the mother he had once imagined. She wasn't just hypocritical; she had allowed the King Family members to become so evil. At the same time, he was sure that Amy would face punishment from this incident.
