Amy had been glued to the live stream the whole time. When she saw what was going down in the yard, she was floored. Sure, she'd cleaned up a lot of Caleb's messes before—bullying girls, getting into fights, hit-and-runs—but this? Imprisonment, trafficking, murder? She had no clue Caleb was into such deep trouble.
Panic set in, and she started worrying more and more about Caleb. Oscar was dead set on Caleb being involved. If it turned out to be true and got out, Caleb would be in serious hot water. And it wouldn't just be him; she'd be dragged into it too, especially since Elizabeth had spilled the beans about Caleb being her nephew.
Amy glared at Elizabeth on the live stream, her anger boiling over. Elizabeth was clearly out to get her, and it just confirmed all the bad vibes Amy had about her.
Seeing Eugene like that made Amy even angrier. He was completely useless. Elizabeth told him to find the key, and he just did it. Now, with Caleb getting nabbed, he didn't even try to help or stay out of the show. Instead, he kept hanging around Elizabeth, who clearly hated them. It was maddening.
Amy couldn't hold back and checked the live stream comments. Sure enough, everyone was trashing Caleb and her. People were saying they'd expose and report her, urging the cops to dig into her life. After a bit, Amy saw that the whole thing had hit the headlines.

The situation was blowing up online. Besides the incident, people were digging into her background and family history. Even her family before marriage, the Kings, got dragged into it.
People started coming forward with dirt on her brother's company, saying it had all sorts of violations and illegal stuff going on. Someone even dug up that her niece had thrown acid on someone after losing a fight over a boyfriend. Amy knew about that one. The woman was disfigured and wanted to sue her niece. Amy had stepped in, paid her off, and sent her abroad for plastic surgery and emotional distress.
Then another nephew, who got into the entertainment industry as an investor, was exposed for sexually harassing actresses. Soon, more dirt on her other nieces and nephews came out. Amy felt like everything was spiraling out of control.
Her phone rang suddenly; it was Ada. As soon as she picked up, Ada started yelling, "You bitch, are you happy now that you've ruined the King Family? Are you nuts, letting Caleb mess with that fortune teller? Now Caleb's been arrested, and everyone's cursing the King Family. Your brother said if this keeps up, their company will get investigated too. You idiot!"
Hearing Ada's harsh words, Amy's face twisted. Since she married into the Baker Family, Ada had never called her a bitch or an idiot again. The King Family had started sucking up to her, making her feel proud. To keep up appearances in front of the King Family, she kept bailing them out and supporting them.
Her brothers both started companies, relying entirely on her help. And when her nieces and nephews got into trouble, she was the one who stepped in to fix it.
She hadn't been yelled at by Ada like this in years. She felt a bit humiliated. "Mom, what are you talking about? This was all Caleb's doing, and it ended up hurting us. How can you blame me?"
At this point, she also felt some resentment towards Caleb. That idiot Caleb was dumb enough to mess with a murderer, and now they were all in this mess.
Ada wasn't having any of it. She yelled, "If you hadn't told Caleb to mess with Elizabeth, none of this would've happened. You better find someone to get Caleb out. And deal with those people trashing Caleb online. Don't let your brother's company get investigated. Otherwise, I won't forgive you, and we won't acknowledge you as our daughter anymore."
When Amy was helpful, Ada would flatter her. But now, with Caleb facing jail time and the family in trouble, she couldn't help but speak her mind. Amy was still clueless. It was fortunate that Amy was pretty and could charm Orlando, or they might be in a worse situation.Amy cared a lot about her reputation and family ties. She always wanted the approval of the King Family parents and siblings, so when she heard this, her face changed again. "I understand. I'll call Orlando right away and have him take care of it."
Ada finally snorted coldly, "That's more like it." Then she hung up.
Amy immediately tried calling Orlando. But the phone just kept failing to connect, indicating it was out of service. She called Orlando's assistant, but that didn't go through either. She then called the company and asked the secretary, only to find out that Orlando was on a business trip abroad. He was probably on a plane with his phone turned off.
Amy had no choice but to call around for help. The stuff Caleb was involved in were serious crimes. And they were exposed live, so no one dared to help Caleb, nor did they have the ability. With the online backlash so severe, anyone who got involved would be in trouble. People were cautious and found various excuses to avoid involvement, with some even purposely ignoring Amy's calls.
Amy thought for a moment and called Betty. Betty didn't know about the incident. She had been fuming after seeing Kevin serving Elizabeth like a servant, so she went back to the hotel. She was so mad that she didn't watch the live stream. Feeling slighted by Elizabeth, she planned to go to the hospital to complain to Paul and Enrique.
She had just sat down in the hospital room when she saw Amy's call. She answered and heard Amy say that Caleb was framed by Elizabeth and was now arrested in Aevum City.
Knowing she was in Aevum City, Amy asked her to help rescue Caleb. She also deliberately shifted the blame to Elizabeth, stirring up a lot of resentment.
Betty couldn't believe Elizabeth would do such a thing. But she now had a very good relationship with Amy and considered her a good friend, so she agreed without hesitation.
After hanging up, she told Paul about it. Then she complained, "What is Elizabeth trying to achieve? Just because I asked her for help to save Enrique, she got upset? Not only did she heartlessly refuse to save Enrique and publicly humiliate me during a live broadcast, but now she's also targeting my friend Amy, falsely accusing Amy's nephew and deliberately getting him arrested."
From what she understood, Elizabeth was upset precisely because she knew of their close relationship and consequently targeted Amy deliberately. Paul had felt something was off when Betty answered the call. Now, after hearing her words, he was so infuriated that he felt like his blood was boiling.
