Chapter 480 Do You Think There's Something Off about Him?

Elizabeth went to the Mystic Divination Academy with Zachary before heading to a remote area for filming.

The Mystic Divination Academy was bustling with people. As soon as Elizabeth walked into the academy, she felt a strong sense of faith. It seemed that the people here had great confidence in the academy.

Many wealthy individuals were waiting in line for Bradley's students to divine their destinies. Some wanted to see Bradley himself, but they were all refused.

When Elizabeth and Zachary appeared, one of Bradley's students immediately recognized them. He smiled and approached them. "Hello, Mr. Murphy, hello, Ms. Clark!"

Zachary gave him a cool glance and remained silent. Elizabeth smiled warmly. "Hello. We'd like to see Mr. McDonald. Is he available now?"

The student grinned. "Normally, it wouldn't be convenient, but for Mr. Murphy and Ms. Clark, it certainly is." He then gestured for them to follow. "Right this way, please!"

Elizabeth and Zachary followed him, climbing a small hill to reach the top floor of the academy at the hill's peak. There was only one room on this floor. Elizabeth noticed that the air quality here was excellent, and the sense of faith from the academy below seemed to linger around.

The student knocked on the door and reported, "Mr. McDonald, Mr. Murphy and Ms. Clark are here."

Bradley had already sensed their arrival. He soon opened the door and stepped out to greet them. "Hello, Mr. Murphy," he said.

Zachary replied, "Let's talk inside."

Bradley nodded respectfully. "Of course."

His student didn't follow them inside. After they sat down, Bradley looked at Elizabeth and asked with a smile, "Do you know how to make tea?"

Elizabeth replied, "I do." She took the tools from his hand and began to prepare the tea. Meanwhile, Bradley casually chatted with Zachary.

Zachary asked, leaning forward slightly, "What do you make of Xavier's situation?"

Bradley was taken aback for a moment, then sighed, rubbing his temples. "I've always tried to reason with them, but they were too fixated on the idea of longevity and wouldn't listen. Now they're facing the consequences they deserve."

Zachary fiddled with his teacup, looking thoughtful. "Your Mystic Divination Academy is quite the place; a lot of people put their faith in you. You've got plenty of years left, don't you?"

Bradley smiled, leaning back in his chair. "Nothing gets past you, Mr. Murphy. While I don't obsess over longevity like Mr. Henderson and his son, I'm still a mortal who wants to live a bit longer. That's why I founded the Mystic Divination Academy, to gather faith. Over the years, I've consistently done good deeds. This has extended my life by decades compared to Mr. Henderson. I refuse to use their methods."

Elizabeth looked up and asked, "Did you ever try to stop them, Mr. McDonald?"

Bradley sighed deeply. "I tried, but it was useless. Mr. Henderson is our leader, and his orders tie our hands. Wayne got badly hurt because he tried to stop them too aggressively. I value my life more than Wayne did, so I chose not to interfere. After Wayne's death, I became even more withdrawn and mostly stayed within the Mystic Divination Academy."

He looked directly at Elizabeth, his expression earnest. "The last time I went with Mr. Henderson to find you was an exception. I knew Wayne hadn't misjudged you. You're really something special."

Elizabeth stood up and poured Bradley a cup of tea, her gaze casually sweeping over his youthful face and serene demeanor. She smiled as she handed him the cup. "Thank you for the compliment, Mr. McDonald."

She sat back down, her expression turning serious. "We came to the Mystic Divination Academy today to ask for your help, Mr. McDonald."

Bradley took a sip of tea and nodded, a friendly smile on his face. "Go ahead."

Elizabeth leaned forward slightly, getting straight to the point. "Previously, Xavier was able to control an evil sorcery pit fissure. We found out he used the leader's token to do it. But he didn't know the true location of the evil sorcery pit. And the token shattered suddenly after he used it last time. Mr. McDonald, do you know the location of that evil sorcery pit?"

Bradley shook his head. "I know of its existence, but I don't know its location. Mr. Henderson said it was discovered by one of our previous leaders and has been nurtured through generations. It is only passed down to each leader, and only the leader knows."

He added, "Mr. Henderson used that evil sorcery pit to successfully plot against Wayne back then."

Elizabeth wasn't surprised. She continued, "It's okay if you don't know, but I'd like to ask you to help find the location of the evil sorcery pit. Once we find it, the three of us can join forces with the divination masters from the Divination Association to seal it completely. Otherwise, if it roams freely, it could be a major threat and potentially cause many deaths."

Bradley thought momentarily before agreeing, "Alright, I originally didn't want to get involved in these matters anymore. But since you've asked, I'll do my best to help find it. And once we find it, I'll help you seal it."

It was clear that the potential for many deaths didn't elicit much emotional response from Bradley. It seemed he was accustomed to life and death and didn't care much about it.

Elizabeth smiled gratefully. "On behalf of the Special Department, thank you, Mr. McDonald."

The three of them discussed some matters related to sorcery and had dinner together. After dark, Elizabeth and Zachary politely declined Bradley's invitation to stay and left the Mystic Divination Academy.

As they drove into Clifftonshireburg, Zachary pulled out a Spellscroll and stuck it on the car to prevent eavesdropping. He then glanced at Elizabeth and asked, "Do you think there's something off about him?"

Elizabeth didn't respond immediately. Instead, she turned to him and asked, "What do you think?"

Zachary replied honestly, "Whether it's his aura or his demeanor, I don't feel there's anything wrong. I also checked the Mystic Divination Academy; it is indeed absorbing faith. But it's within normal bounds and doesn't involve any evil sorcery. It doesn't affect those who believe in the Mystic Divination Academy either. He was also very straightforward when talking to us."

Elizabeth said, "I feel the same way. Not only did I not feel anything wrong, but I also felt a kind of affinity from him." Then she changed her tone. "But we can't rule out his suspicion just yet. Sometimes what seems to be no problem is the biggest problem. Is the leader's token that easy to break?"

Percy found and confirmed that Xavier had used the token to control the evil sorcery pit fissure. But the token found on Xavier had already shattered. Zachary identified it and confirmed it had the aura of the token.

Zachary shrugged. "I don't know. After all, I'm not a leader. I was trapped in Aevum City in slumber during my tenth year at the academy."

At a red light, Elizabeth stepped on the brake and beckoned Zachary over. Zachary leaned in, and Elizabeth whispered something in his ear.

Zachary's eyes were full of surprise and disbelief. "Really?"
