Chapter 345 Really Scared
Elizabeth saw the three people blocking her path and smirked. No way Amy sent these clowns; it had to be Brenda. She asked, "What's this all about?"
The leader grinned and said, "Mrs. Clark, sorry to bother you, but we need a favor."
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "What kind of favor?"
Larry stepped forward, pulling out a glass vial from his bag. "We need a strand of your hair and a few drops of your blood."
Elizabeth's eyebrow shot up. "And if I say no?"
Larry's smile vanished, replaced by a dark, threatening look. "Then we'll take it by force. So, Mrs. Clark, you'd better play nice."
Elizabeth sneered, "I don't do 'nice.' Do your worst."
Larry hadn't expected her to be so defiant. His face twisted with anger. "Mrs. Clark, let's take this to the alley."
The other two men moved to grab her arms, clearly planning to drag her into a secluded spot. Their eyes roamed over her, filled with lust. Elizabeth was stunning, and they had no intention of being polite. They'd assaulted women before, but none as beautiful as Elizabeth. Tonight, they planned to savor every moment.
It was already night, and the alley was deserted. They could take turns guarding while the others had their way with her. The thought made their eyes burn with desire.
Larry knew his teammates well, and seeing their reaction, he got interested too. Making money and having their way with Elizabeth sounded like a win-win.
Elizabeth's eyes turned icy as she dodged their hands. She walked towards the alley on her own, saying, "I'll go myself."
The three men were stunned. They hadn't expected her to walk over willingly. Elizabeth was bold, but she had no idea how dangerous they could be. They'd make sure she found out.
They followed her into the dimly lit alley. As they walked in, a chill ran down their spines. Elizabeth leaned lazily against the wall, watching them. She was smiling, but her eyes were cold. A sense of danger crept over them, but they pushed it aside. She was just a woman, and they were used to being ruthless.
Larry looked at her with a lecherous grin. "How about some fun tonight?"
Elizabeth smiled back. "Sure, I'll make it unforgettable."
Larry laughed. "Didn't expect you to be so wild. We won't hold back then." He reached out to touch her, but his hand froze in mid-air. He tried to step back, but his whole body was paralyzed.
He was shocked and exclaimed in horror, "What's happening to me?"
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "Didn't the person who hired you tell you I'm a divination master?"
Larry was floored. They were guys all about crime and cash, indifferent to the entertainment scene, so even though they knew Elizabeth was doing some live show, they didn't care enough to watch. If they had, they would've seen how she handled Caleb and his crew and thought twice before messing with her.
Elizabeth's face darkened. "Well, let me give you a little demo."
With a flick of her fingers, a sinister energy seeped into their bodies. An icy chill wrapped around them, and for the first time, they felt real fear. The alley transformed into a nightmarish abyss, filled with decaying corpses reaching out to grab them.
"Ahhh!" The three men screamed, flailing wildly.
Larry could move again, his face twisted in terror. "Stay away from me. I'll kill you."
In their panic, they ended up hitting each other.
Elizabeth watched, unimpressed. These guys were hardened criminals with a heavy aura of death around them. She'd sensed something off about them at the ballpark and had planned to report them anonymously. But she figured they'd cross her path soon enough, so she waited untill now.
Aevum City had seen its share of wars and was full of malevolent energy, which she could easily manipulate. She not only summoned this energy but also intensified the evil aura inside them. They'd be haunted by nightmares, lose their desire for intimacy, fall ill, and face relentless bad luck. Eventually, their crimes would be exposed, and they'd spend the rest of their lives in prison.
Once the three were exhausted from fighting each other, Elizabeth snapped her fingers. They slowly stopped, their minds clearing. They felt intense pain and remembered the terrifying visions. Their hearts pounded with lingering fear.
They looked at Elizabeth, all thoughts of lust gone. No wonder she had followed them into the alley; she knew some scary stuff. They knew real divination masters existed, and messing with them usually ended badly.
Larry, trying to save his skin, said, "Ms. Clark, sorry, we were wrong. We won't bother you again. We'll leave now." They tried to make a run for it.
Elizabeth snorted, "You think you can just come and go? This isn't a playground."
Larry broke out in a cold sweat, cursing Brenda in his mind. "What do you want?" His whole body ached, and he was genuinely scared.
Elizabeth asked, "Did Brenda send you?"
