Chapter 13

The village chief looked a bit skeptical.

He smiled at Elizabeth and said, "Alright, I'll leave it to you."

Seeing the village chief agree, Elizabeth walked over to the tractor and quickly found the problem.

There were some tools in the village office, so she got to work.

The live stream audience was buzzing with curiosity.

Kevin's siblings and Eugene's fans were trashing Elizabeth in the comments, calling her a schemer.

They claimed they had her all figured out and she'd be exposed soon.

Twenty minutes later, Elizabeth put the tools back.

She turned to the village chief and said, "It's fixed."

The village chief was stunned. "So quickly?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Give it a try."

The village chief took the keys and started the tractor. They heard the "putt-putt-putt" sound.

With a surprised look, he said, "You really fixed it."

He drove the tractor a short distance. "You're incredible. The last person I hired took half a day and still couldn't repair it."

"And you managed it in less than half an hour."

The three guests were all shocked to see Elizabeth actually fix the tractor.

She really could fix a tractor!

Nancy asked Elizabeth, "How do you know how to fix a tractor?"

Elizabeth smiled and said, "I minored in mechanical engineering in college."

Nancy gazed at the elegant and bright Elizabeth, finding it difficult to believe that she had pursued such a field of study.
She asked again, "What was your major? Was it related?"

Elizabeth didn't hide it and replied, "I majored in divination."

This wasn't a secret; a little digging would reveal it.

In their world, divination was popular, and many top universities offered specialized programs.

She had studied divination with Wayne since childhood and liked it, so she chose that major.

Hearing this, everyone present was even more surprised.

It was quite a surprise that Elizabeth had majored in divination.

Elizabeth, who was fixing the tractor, majoring in divination, and minoring in mechanical engineering, left the audience in shock.

This turn of events made many viewers develop a newfound respect for Elizabeth.

Kevin's siblings and Eugene's fans felt embarrassed by the situation.

Having fixed the tractor, the village chief became more hospitable to the four of them.

"Since you fixed the tractor, come to my house for dinner this afternoon."

He had promised Elizabeth earlier that if she fixed the tractor, he would reward them with food.

After conferring with the other three guests, Elizabeth smiled and expressed her gratitude to the village chief. "In that case, we will gladly accept your offer."

"But could you perhaps prepare a bit more food? We have a specific task that requires..."

She proceeded to explain the task involving exchanging dishes for bedding.

The village chief waved his hand with a smile. "I thought it might be something more serious. No problem at all."

Elizabeth and the other three then departed from the village chief's office, having agreed to dine at his residence later that evening.

After stepping out, Raymond smiled at Ronald and said, "Our decision to team up was really wise; we won so easily today."

Ronald smiled and praised, "Indeed."

"Not only did we complete the task successfully, but we also secured our dinner."

"Otherwise, even if we got food through other means, I wouldn't be able to cook."

Raymond laughed, "Me neither."

Nancy raised her hand. "I can't cook either."

She turned and asked, "Elizabeth, can you cook?"

Elizabeth smiled and replied, "Yes, I learned before."

She used to take turns cooking with Wayne.

At the Clark family, she had also cooked quite a bit.

Nancy's eyes lit up. "That's great."

Ronald and Raymond's smiles grew wider upon hearing that Elizabeth could cook.

Nancy asked, "Shall we go back to rest or continue looking for work?"

Ronald and Raymond's first reaction to her question was to look at Elizabeth.
