Chapter 160 There's No Worst, Only Worse!

Arnold didn't expect his song to get fewer votes than Gilbert's. He was upset and unconvinced. In the final competition, he was determined to win. Confidently, he stood up first and walked back to the stage. Gilbert, equally confident, followed.

Both had their phones on and wore Bluetooth headsets, relying on Brenda and Elizabeth for translation since they didn't understand Veridianian well. The host came on stage and didn't let them choose a song. Instead, she pulled up a Clifftonshireburgian song on a computer.

"For fairness, you'll learn this song now and sing it in half an hour. There will be accompaniment and a teleprompter for you then," she said. The song was commissioned for Clifftonshireburgian customers' competitions. If competitors were from different countries, they'd use an international language song.

Gilbert and Arnold nodded, "Okay!" The host handed them headsets, and they sat on opposite sides, learning the song.

Raymond smiled, "Who do you think will win? Let's bet. Loser drinks a glass."

Elizabeth quickly said, "I bet on Gilbert. If his previous company hadn't held him back with bad songs, he'd be famous by now. Today will prove his strength."

Raymond agreed, "I also bet on Gilbert. He surpasses Arnold in every way."

Nancy added, "I favor Gilbert too. His voice is my favorite. I bet on him."

Ronald smiled, "I don't know much about singing, but I'll bet on Gilbert too."

Marlon said, "I'll follow your lead and bet on Gilbert." He favored Gilbert but, as a newcomer, couldn't be too blunt.

Everyone bet on Gilbert. Raymond laughed, "Seems no one wants to be punished with a drink."

Arnold's fans were displeased, scolding Raymond for acting like the result was decided. They also criticized Nancy and the others, claiming they were just following Elizabeth, who didn't get along with Arnold. They declared Arnold would win.

Elizabeth's fans didn't argue, just saying to wait and see. Anyone with musical appreciation could tell Gilbert was slightly better. Raymond and the others were just speaking the truth.

Elizabeth's and Raymond's fans joined in the fun, teasing, [Raymond, no one at your table will be punished, but the other table will!]

Others joined in the provocationexcitement too, hoping Raymond would say something, and he didn't disappoint. He turned to Kevin, "Kevin, you're betting on Arnold, right?"

Kevin was silent, thinking, 'Are we even that close?' Raymond's smile suggested mischief.

Kevin asked, "What's up?"

Raymond grinned, "We're betting on who will win. Loser drinks three glasses of wine. Both our groups bet on Gilbert. Who are you betting on?"

Kevin was speechless. "When did we agree to bet?"

Raymond raised an eyebrow. "So you don't think Arnold will win either?"

Kevin paused. Even if he doubted it, he couldn't say it out loud. "I believe Arnold will win, but that doesn't mean I have to bet."

Raymond laughed, "Kevin, you're scared."

Kevin glared, "Get lost, you're the one who's scared."

Raymond provoked, "Then bet. If you don't, it means you're scared and think Arnold will lose."

Kevin wanted to punch Raymond. But he had no choice. "Fine, I'll bet. Arnold will win."

Raymond gave him a thumbs up. "Kevin, very brave. In a moment, you have to down three drinks."

Kevin glared again. "Got it, no need to emphasize."

He prayed Arnold wouldn't lose.

Raymond then looked at Brenda and Eugene. "What about you two, who are you betting on?"

Brenda, wanting Raymond's attention, smiled sweetly. "I also bet on Arnold."

Raymond thought, 'Great, another one trapped.' He gave Brenda a thumbs up. "Very great!"

Brenda was silent, while others stifled their laughter. The live stream comments were filled with LOLs.

[Raymond, are you trying to make me die of laughter?]

[I almost spat out my water from laughing.]

[Raymond be like: Great, another one trapped.]

[Raymond, there's one more, don't miss it.]

Raymond looked at Eugene. "What about you, Eugene?"

Eugene asked, "Didn't you say earlier that the loser drinks one glass? Why is it three now?"

He had been paying attention to Elizabeth and overheard.

Kevin and Brenda, who hadn't heard, looked at Raymond.

Raymond grinned. "I just changed it!"

The live stream audience laughed again.

[Bro's too thick-skinned. I'm impressed..]

[So bad!]

[Today I finally understand why everyone says Raymond is bad.]

[There's no worst, only worse!]

Kevin glared, "Do you have to be so bad?"

Raymond said righteously, "You two already agreed, so it can't be changed."

Kevin paused. "You're shameless!"

Raymond ignored him and looked at Eugene. "Eugene, are you betting on Arnold too?"

Eugene raised an eyebrow. "Who said I was betting on Arnold?"

He calmly said, "I don't want to drink, I bet on Gilbert."

Raymond was silent. 'Eugene is bad too!' he thought.

Kevin and Brenda were silent. 'Can't you be a good person too?' they thought.

The live stream audience was silent. They could only say, Eugene had also caught up Raymond's mischief.
