Chapter 316 Cause Him Distress Once More

Enrique's situation freaked out everyone watching the live stream. They couldn't believe how cold-hearted Brenda was.

If it were anyone else, they'd be frozen in fear, not thinking to yank the nearest person to take the hit. But Brenda did it, showing she was a different kind of ruthless.

Some folks were roasting Enrique, saying he had it coming. Even after all the crap Brenda put him through, he still chose to protect her. Now, he was paying the price for being a doormat. But since Enrique was in such bad shape, most people felt sorry for him instead of cursing him out.

Almost everyone was hating on Brenda.

This whole mess blew up without any PR spin, shooting straight to the top three headlines. Enrique's fans even swarmed Brenda's Facebook to drag her.

Arthur didn't see this coming in this episode of the show. Because the audience was worried about Enrique's injuries, he had a cameraman keep streaming. Seeing Enrique writhing in pain in the ambulance, Arthur couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the guy; it was just too much.

At the Soule venue.

After Enrique was rushed to the hospital, all eyes were on Brenda.

Brenda could feel the shock, disdain, fear, and dread from everyone. Even someone as shameless as Brenda couldn't handle it right now.

She was super frustrated. She had planned to mess with Elizabeth, so how did Enrique end up getting hurt? It had to be Elizabeth's fault.

She glared at Elizabeth with pure hatred, saying, "This is all your fault."

Elizabeth wasn't surprised by Brenda's blame game. It was totally Brenda's style.

She raised an eyebrow and shot back, "You threw Enrique under the bus, and now you're blaming me? Classic Brenda. Do you even know why Enrique got hurt? If you hadn't kept whacking my leg with that club, would I have fallen? The first time, I dodged it, but you came at me again. How is that my fault?"

She looked at Brenda and continued, "You always have a double standard. You think it's cool to dish it out, but the minute someone fights back, it's a problem. And poor Enrique... you hurt him and still play the blame game. In your mind, you're always right, and everyone else is wrong.

Everyone saw what happened, and it was live-streamed. Let them judge for themselves whether it was your fault or mine."

Brenda paused and then said stubbornly, "I don't believe you didn't bump into us on purpose." She was convinced Elizabeth was playing dirty.

Elizabeth sneered, "Believe what you want. By your logic, Enrique wasn't pulled by you; he just flew in front of you on his own? This isn't over. Whether Enrique blames you later is your problem. For now, let's deal with your intentional foul that caused serious injuries."

Elizabeth didn't want to argue anymore; she went straight to the referee and the organizers to file a complaint against Brenda.

Everyone's eyes were wide open, and they all wanted Brenda to pay for what she did.

They couldn't wrap their heads around Brenda's mindset. With so many people watching, including millions on the live stream, how could she think no one would see her intentionally hurting Elizabeth? It was straight-up evil to try and pin it on Elizabeth!

They couldn't imagine what kind of hell Elizabeth had gone through in the Clark family. She must've been constantly trashed by Brenda, with the Clark family blaming her for everything and calling her a troublemaker.

Then, the internet went off on the Clark parents and the five Clark brothers again. Some folks even said it was a good thing Elizabeth didn't grow up with them. She turned out to be a decent, kind, and super capable person, while every Clark family member was a mess. This just showed how messed up the Clark Family was. The backlash, especially since most of the Clark brothers were in the entertainment biz, shot to the top headlines.

At the Clark Villa, Bishop and Samantha were fuming. They couldn't hold back and called to chew out Paul and Betty. Then they had another son book a flight to Aevum City.

They wanted to fly over to see Enrique. Even though they weren't usually close with Enrique, he was still family. Seeing him hurt so bad, they couldn't help but worry.

The other Clark family members started to really hate Brenda. Even the cousins who used to be tight with her were scared. Brenda was too vicious. Plus, Brenda could tap into Enrique's Generational Blessings, and who knew if she could do the same with theirs? They decided to steer clear of Brenda from now on; she was just too scary.

At the Soule venue.

Elizabeth's complaint hit the mark.

The organizers banned Brenda from competing for good. That meant she was out of Soule competitions forever.

And after the show wrapped up, she wouldn't be allowed back in Aevum City. The city didn't want individuals with such lousy character around.

Plus, since Brenda caused Enrique's injury, they weren't responsible for it. Brenda had to take full responsibility, including covering all his medical and care expenses.

Brenda was losing it, as the outcome dumped the whole mess on her. She knew she'd face another wave of online hate and she had a feeling of freaking out that her Generational Blessings might be slipping away again.

Then came the awards and prize-giving part.

After the prizes were handed out, Elizabeth said, "Let's go to the hospital and see Enrique."

She wasn't really worried about Enrique. Even though his injuries were bad, and he'd be stuck in bed for months, it wasn't life-threatening.

She wanted to see Enrique because she had something else to tell him after his surgery, something that would mess with him even more.
