Chapter 142 Didn't Expect to Be Scolded This Badly
Arnold was stunned again.
He looked at Elizabeth, shocked. "I can't believe you're talking to me like this."
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "How should I talk to you then?"
She snapped, "Can you stop getting in my face? You're so annoying!"
Arnold's chest heaved with anger. "You!"
For a moment, he was speechless.
Across from them, Kevin was recording with his phone.
On the other end of the video call was Loren's office.
Richard held the phone, and Loren and he watched the scene unfold.
Seeing Arnold's expression, they both looked speechless.
Loren said, "Arnold's lost it. He went over there all cocky, just asking to be scolded."
Richard nodded, "Yeah, he has no clue what Elizabeth thinks of him."
He added, "Actually, in Elizabeth's eyes, he doesn't matter at all."
Kevin heard his words and retorted, "Like you have any standing with Elizabeth."
Among the brothers, Richard had been tormented by Elizabeth the most.
Richard was hurt. "Shut up, if you can't talk properly, just be quiet."
He added, "Kevin, I didn't know you were so sneaky. Using Arnold like that."
Kevin was speechless. "Richard, I'm not as scheming as you."
Last night, Richard had called Kevin, insisting he video call them after meeting Elizabeth.
Who knew these two scheming brothers just wanted to see Arnold get scolded?
Kevin now realized why Richard helped Arnold become a regular guest.
He just wanted to watch the drama.
Richard chuckled. "You're right, you're not that smart."
Kevin paused, annoyed. "Are you watching or not? If not, I'm hanging up."
Richard quickly said, "I'm watching, I won't say anything, okay?"
Kevin replied, "That's more like it."
But honestly, when Elizabeth scolded him, he felt sad and angry.
Seeing Arnold get scolded even worse, he felt a bit of schadenfreude.
He sighed, "Richard, I've learned to be bad from you."
Richard sneered, "You weren't a good person to begin with."
Kevin rolled his eyes and said no more.
On the other side, Arnold was lost after being scolded by Elizabeth.
Raymond added, "Not only is he thick-skinned and ugly, but he's also a poor speaker. How did he become a talented singer?"
Others questioned, "What does being a poor speaker have to do with being a talented singer?"
Elizabeth agreed, "Exactly, someone who can't even speak properly, I don't know how he sings."
She added, "But he has a muddle-headed brother who arranges everything for him. With all the company's resources thrown at him, even a pig could become famous."
The implication was that Arnold was that pig being groomed.
In the video, Loren and Richard were silent. They were being scolded even though they weren't there.
They looked at each other, wondering if Arnold was really that bad.
Next to them, Gilbert looked at Elizabeth with admiration. She was amazing.
He'd been fed up with Arnold's arrogance for a while.
Hearing Elizabeth tear into Arnold until he was speechless and furious gave him immense satisfaction.
Marlon was shocked again, wondering what kind of show he had signed up for. These guests were even more ruthless and arrogant than the last.
He'd never seen Arnold treated like this before. It was thrilling!
Arnold's face was grim.
"Elizabeth, you're teaming up with an outsider to put me down. Do you still want to return to the Clark family?" he snapped.
Elizabeth found this amusing. "Not only are you thick-skinned and ugly, but you're also deaf. I've said I have nothing to do with you guys and will never return to the Clark family. You're not just stupid; your brain is broken."
Richard and Kevin silently agreed. Arnold was such an idiot. Couldn't he see Elizabeth wasn't giving him any face? Trying to threaten her was just pushing her further away.
Raymond couldn't understand Arnold's thinking.
He said to Elizabeth, "Let's continue our conversation. Ignore this brain-dead."
Before Elizabeth could respond, Arnold lost it.
"Raymond, what does this have to do with you? You're the one who's brain-dead. Don't think that just because you're from the Gonzalez family, I won't dare to hit you."
Raymond looked at him with a hint of provocation. "You think you can hit me?"
He stood up. "Come on, if you want to fight, I've never been afraid of anyone."
He was taller and more imposing than Arnold.
Elizabeth chimed in, "Raymond is my friend. It's normal for him to speak up for me! But you, someone who's not even strong, actually want to hit him? Not to mention Raymond, even I can beat you up."
Arnold saw Elizabeth siding with Raymond and went crazy.
"Elizabeth, who are you helping?" he roared. "I'm your brother."
Elizabeth looked at him with disdain. "What are you thinking? Of course, I'm helping Raymond."
Arnold was silent, pointing at Elizabeth, trembling with anger. "You..."
Richard said awkwardly, "Kevin, pull Arnold back. This is too embarrassing. And Elizabeth really can beat him up with one hand. Tell him to stop making a scene."
Kevin also thought Arnold was too embarrassing. He had thought Arnold was just asking to be scolded but hadn't expected it to be this bad.
He quickly got up, ready to pull Arnold back to sit down and cool off.
Brenda had been secretly pleased when she saw Arnold going to trouble Elizabeth. She had badmouthed Elizabeth in front of Arnold, and it had worked.
But seeing Arnold being scolded by Elizabeth and Raymond like this, she felt so embarrassed.
She couldn't help but curse inwardly, 'Arnold is simply too useless. I overestimated him before.'
