After hanging up, Elizabeth contacted Paul. Since the three families had been collaborating, she needed to inform Paul of the results. She also mentioned the things Ethan and Piper had done in the past.
Paul let out a big sigh of relief, knowing that the Clark Family would finally not be targeted anymore. Then he couldn't help but ask, "You mean, Betty already knows that Brenda is Ethan's biological daughter? And she also knows about you being taken by Piper and given to human traffickers?"
Elizabeth replied, "Yes, Ethan admitted it on the spot. She was there at the time, so of course, she knows."
Paul's face turned grim, and his breathing became labored. He knew that Brenda had been placed in the Clark family by Ethan, and Elizabeth's disappearance back then was probably related to Ethan as well. But he had never expected that the one who had taken away his biological daughter would be Brenda's biological mother, Piper.
It meant that Brenda's biological parents had conspired to harm Elizabeth and the Clark family. And Brenda was the daughter of their enemies. There was so much to settle, how come Betty still hadn't kicked Brenda out yet?
The reason Paul knew she hadn't been kicked out was that Betty had contacted him yesterday. She said that someone had set up some evil aura formation in the villa and asked him to find a powerful divination master to deal with it. She had moved to an apartment in the city center with Brenda. But Betty hadn't told him the specifics or that she knew Brenda's background.
Seeing Paul silent, Elizabeth deliberately asked, "Is Mrs. Clark still living with Brenda?"
