Chapter 83 They Were Tricked by Elizabeth Again

Herman wasn't planning to sleep; he was too disgusted.

He called someone to find out which hotel his wife and his superior were at.

Then he pulled up the artist's info and reviewed it carefully.

After some thought, he sent a list and details to Elizabeth.

Summoning his loyal team members to his home, Herman omitted the detail about Alvin's ploy using Helen as a spy, grappling with shame at being manipulated.

However, he did confide in select members about Helen's infidelity with Alvin, and the duo's treacherous alliance with Richard. He also explained his error.

Playing a portion of the incriminating recording where their adversaries aimed to oust them, Herman exposed the brothers' ruthless intentions to his team. Anger flared among the members, seeing the Clark brothers' true colors.

Having dedicated their time and effort to the company's growth, Herman's team felt the sting of betrayal as Richard sought to unceremoniously eject them, showing no mercy in his bid to remove them from the equation.

One team member said, "Since the Clark brothers and Alvin are out to get us, we don't need to be polite."

Another agreed.

Stirring their fury, Herman dropped the bombshell—joining forces with Elizabeth's studio was the way forward.

These individuals had unwaveringly stood by Herman, trusting his lead. However, the company could no longer accommodate them.

Explaining that transitioning to another firm might lead to suppression or undervaluation, Herman advocated for Elizabeth's studio—the tantalizing salary and benefits presented an irresistible proposition. In mutual agreement, they resolved to make the leap with Herman, lured by the promise of robust financial rewards.

Herman had secretly copied and deleted company info without telling anyone.

Now, he had no more concerns.

When the person he hired sent a message saying they found the hotel, he took the group to catch his wife and Alvin in the act.

He wanted them to feel what they had planned for him.

Carol, usually gentle with Helen and not interfering in their marital affairs, couldn't hold back this time. She called her dancing friends and close neighbors to join in catching them.

If they were going to divorce and make sure Helen got no money, they needed evidence against her.

Arriving at the hotel, the group swiftly caught the deceitful duo in their clandestine meet-up. With steely resolve, Herman whipped out his phone, hitting record before barging in on them.

In a surge of raw fury, Herman took the lead in laying down justice, unleashing a torrent of blows on Alvin. Simultaneously, Carol and the other women didn't hold back, dragging Helen to the ground for a much-deserved retribution.

Their actions were so loud that they alerted the hotel and nearby guests.

But knowing it was a case of catching a cheater, everyone cheered them on.

Herman, after venting his anger, announced his intention to divorce, paid for the damaged door, and left with his group.

Leaving behind a stunned Alvin and a tearful Helen.

They didn't know Herman had discovered their actions in the company.

They guessed someone might have seen them at the hotel and informed Herman.

So, they tried to figure out a solution without telling the Clarks.

As a result, the Clark brothers still didn't know they had been harmed by Elizabeth again.

In the apartment, Elizabeth and Rebecca were reviewing the list and info.

They first picked a profile.

Riding a wave of popularity spurred by a single photograph, a fresh face had basked in the limelight under the nurturing wing of Clark Entertainment. The manager swiftly secured a lucrative television series role for the rising star, whose appeal initially hinged on their striking appearance.

However, the tides turned when his aesthetic clashed with another budding talent that Richard, the key player driving their ascent, sought to champion. Consequently, the resources backing the once-promising individual were abruptly curtailed.

Following the peak of his television series stint, the trajectory veered downward, relegating him to the periphery with only two minor roles in the year that followed.

In the entertainment industry, if a newcomer doesn't appear often, they're quickly forgotten.

Elizabeth watched a few episodes of his TV series and said, "His acting is a bit raw, but he's got potential."

She added, "The profile shows he hasn't made any mistakes. Even though he was sidelined, he kept taking acting classes. He's a good artist. We can make him the main focus of our studio."

Rebecca, looking at his photo, smiled and said, "He's got a unique handsomeness. I think he's great."

"Then it's settled."

Elizabeth marked his profile with a check.

She pointed to another profile. "This singer is also good. He got popular by writing his own song and joining a talent show. After joining the Clark Group, he was suppressed because he didn't get along with Arnold. Now, he performs in bars to make a living. I've listened to his songs. His voice and tone are excellent, with unlimited potential."

She played the song for Rebecca.

Rebecca's eyes lit up. "He sings so well, even better than Arnold. I want him! Let's support him in competing with Arnold and surpassing him, just to spite them."

Elizabeth chuckled. "That's what I was thinking too."

So, she marked it with another check.

The last one they chose was a female artist in her twenties.

She once had a significant position but was vilified online for getting involved in a relationship between two other artists from the same company.

For over a year, she had almost no resources, and even if she got roles, they were hated villain roles.

"Her acting is top-notch among current female artists. She can play both positive and villainous roles. Her looks are highly versatile; she can be pure and gentle or fiery and cold. The info Herman sent shows she was actually with that male artist first. She even helped his career but was ultimately betrayed by those two."

Elizabeth added, "I know the female star who harmed her. She was also promoted by Richard. She pretends to be dignified but is harsh to her assistants and has a bad temper. She acts arrogantly toward less famous female stars. Once, Richard had a meeting with the artists, and she arrogantly asked me to make her coffee. I ignored her."

She then decided, "This wronged artist, we can bring her over and clear her name. With her talent, she has a chance to become a popular star."

Elizabeth smirked, "We can also make Richard suffer by exposing the kind of people he promotes."

Rebecca sighed. "Richard has a bad character, and the people he promotes are just as shameless. Among your brothers, he's the worst in terms of character and the most ruthless."

She added, "Of course, your other brothers aren't good people either. We'll take her. Let's show Richard how we can bring back the people they harmed to the top and overshadow the ones they promote."

Elizabeth marked the female artist's profile with a check. "Alright, we'll go with these three."

They planned to focus on quality and nurture a few key artists, so they didn't need to recruit too many people initially.

After they finished discussing, Elizabeth's phone rang.

She picked it up and saw it was a message from Raymond.
