Chapter 454 What Have You Done Again?
Zachary frowned. He asked, "What's wrong?"
A panicked voice responded, "Mr. Murphy, we discovered an ancient tomb with an evil aura. We tried to seal it, but we got trapped. I saw you left Aevum City, and we're nearby, so we wanted your help."
Zachary thought for a moment and said, "Send me the address, and I'll come by tomorrow."
The urgency in the caller's voice spiked. "Tomorrow will be too late. The evil aura from the tomb is leaking and will cause big trouble for nearby residents."
Zachary paused before conceding. "Alright, I'll come now."
The other person immediately said, "Great, we'll wait for you here."
After hanging up, he received a location message. Turning to Elizabeth, he said, "Mr. Henderson is trapped in an ancient tomb and needs my help. Are you going?"
Elizabeth opened her mouth to respond, but Ethan cut in, sounding all too accommodating. "Mr. Murphy, Elizabeth's issue should be resolved first. Why don't you go rescue him and come back afterward? Elizabeth and I can handle things here."
Stanley also chimed in, "Yes, let's solve our issue first today."
Elizabeth turned to Zachary, her tone firm but resigned. "Mr. Henderson seems in urgent need. You should go first; I'll deal with things here and catch up later."
Zachary sighed. "Alright, I'll go first." He opened a ride-hailing app and turned to Elizabeth to clarify the directions.
Ethan discreetly signaled to Betty. She suggested, "Why use an app? We have a driver who can take you right now." In fact, the driver was arranged by Ethan. Zachary didn't refuse, as he intended to let them divert him away.
After he left, Elizabeth crossed her arms, her gaze icy as she confronted Stanley. "Aaron was killed by Mr. Sanders standing right there. It had nothing to do with me. If you want revenge, go find him."
Ethan was stunned. He retorted, "Elizabeth, don't talk nonsense. Mr. Ortiz himself confirmed that Aaron was killed by you. Blaming me won't clear you."
Elizabeth ignored Ethan, focusing on Stanley. "Seriously, do you even think for yourself? I think you should use your brain."
Stanley fell silent. At this point, Elizabeth was still mocking him. But to keep up the act, he snorted coldly. "I only believe in facts."
He pulled up his phone, displaying photos of the body. Placing it in front of Elizabeth, he demanded, "Look for yourself. If you didn't kill Aaron, who did?"
Elizabeth rolled her eyes, unmoved. "Ever heard of being framed? I bet Ethan's been filling your head with lies."
Stanley argued with Elizabeth with a stern face. Ethan watched silently, displeased with the passive exchange. He expected a fight, not a verbal spar. But since Zachary hadn't gone far, he watched the two argue. He planned to provoke them into fighting later.
While arguing with Stanley, Elizabeth sent out two messages.
Soon, Percy posted on Facebook. He revealed that Amy had betrayed Orlando and that he was just an illegitimate child. He also publicly announced that he would leave the Baker Family and have no further relations with them in the future. He hinted that his biological father's identity was not simple, but he wouldn't acknowledge him either.
Percy was originally recognized by the public as the heir to the Baker Corporation, and Orlando's image as someone madly in love with Amy was deeply ingrained in people's minds. Therefore, when this Facebook post came out, everyone in their circle was shocked.
No one had expected that Percy was actually the child of Amy's affair with another man. Because of Percy's post, not only did no one blame Orlando, but they also sympathized with him.
Then, there was a reversal in the previous incident involving Eugene and Rebecca. Amy had hired Aaron to harm Betty and Elizabeth, and even targeted her children, which was exposed. There was also a video of Aaron saying that Amy had hired him and made threats. In addition, there was evidence of Amy hiring netizens to frame her children.
When all this came out, everyone felt that Amy was not only ruthless but also crazy. Eugene and Rebecca were her biological children, and she didn't even spare them. No wonder when she threatened to sever ties, Eugene and Rebecca agreed without hesitation. Out of respect for their biological mother, the siblings didn't say a bad word about Amy.
Public opinion turned aggressively against Amy. Elizabeth and Eugene's followers cursed her online, viewing her as mentally ill for not sparing even her own children. High society individuals criticized her, astonished by her disregard for family bonds. Living lavishly as Mrs. Baker wasn't enough; Amy's harmful plots and alliances with Aaron painted her as terrifying.
Then came another explosive headline. Natalie also posted on Facebook, revealing that she and Brenda were the children of Piper's affair. She posted the paternity test results online and publicly supported Vincent and Piper's divorce.
Natalie also disclosed her and Percy's shared biological father, further scandalizing their community. As for their biological father, she and Percy had the same attitude, refusing to acknowledge such a scumbag.
Although Natalie was called the product of an affair, most of the criticism was directed at Piper. Brenda was also dragged into it and received a wave of criticism. More people kept speculating about what kind of man could make both Amy and Piper have affairs.
After Natalie's Facebook post, Percy posted another Facebook, sharing and confirming her content. Amidst all the speculation, a gossip account also posted on Facebook about this matter. It claimed that the father of both was Ethan from the Divination Association. It even posted side-by-side comparisons of Ethan's profile with Brenda and Percy's profiles. They indeed looked very similar.
This account was initially managed by one of Ethan's students, who was paid to maintain it. It was specifically used to assist Ethan's children in the entertainment industry. However, Elizabeth hacked the account and posted on Facebook, leaving these people unprepared.
These explosive news stories quickly dominated the top headlines.
At Betty's villa, Brenda inexplicably felt a sense of panic, as if something had suddenly happened. It felt similar to when she was previously cursed online, and her Generational Blessings were lost. But she hadn't been active in the entertainment industry recently, so she shouldn't be getting cursed.
Before she could think further, Ethan, who had been sitting and watching the drama, suddenly underwent a drastic change. Not only did his expression shift, but his appearance altered as well. Deep wrinkles appeared on his face, and his graying hair turned completely white. He suddenly looked ten years older.
Ethan already felt that he was being backlash against. Realizing the weakening of his Generational Blessings, his health and aura diminished. Panic set in. He turned to Elizabeth, his voice tinged with desperation and anger. "What have you done again?"
