Chapter 366 Who Else Could It Be?
Elizabeth grinned and shook her head. "Sending it straight up would kill the drama. Amy loves to stir the pot and play dirty, so I'll play along."
Zachary chuckled, "You really know how to hold a grudge."
Elizabeth shrugged. "Of course, don't you?"
Zachary laughed. "Oh, I definitely do."
He didn't see himself as a bad guy, but he wasn't exactly a saint either. If someone messed with him, they'd pay for it.
Elizabeth laughed. "Exactly. Today, I'll show you how to keep them at each other's throats. Maybe even make them fall out completely."
Zachary was curious about what Elizabeth had up her sleeve. "Alright, I'm in. Show me."
Elizabeth was a bit surprised Zachary was interested. Right in front of him, she edited the video, hacked into a Facebook account, and posted a status. It read something like, "Hey everyone, check this out. Mrs. Clark from the rich Clark family is causing a scene and fighting behind the scenes."
Zachary clicked to watch. After Elizabeth's edits, the video only showed Betty cursing and hitting another woman. And with the angle and editing, Amy's face blurred out, you couldn't tell it was her.
He asked, puzzled, "Why'd you blur out or edit out Mrs. Baker?"
Elizabeth explained, "Because the account I hacked belongs to Amy. It's her secret Facebook account where she shows off her wealth. By posting this, when Betty makes headlines, people will dig into this account."
She then smiled and asked, "What do you think happens next?"
She had found Amy's secret account while digging into her. The account was full of posts about jewelry, lifestyle, bags, and more. People in the comments would speculate that the blogger was some rich lady and shower her with praise.
It fed Amy's vanity. So for years, she'd been posting on this Facebook account almost every month. Even after being a wealthy wife for over twenty years, she hadn't kicked the habit.
Elizabeth just took advantage of it. Amy had been targeting and messing with her in various ways. Her previous scheme to have Betty confront her was just the start.
Zachary, being sharp, got it right away. "You used Amy's account to post, and when Betty sees it and finds out it's her account, she'll think Amy did it on purpose to mess with her. Kevin has the full video. To fight back and explain why she acted that way, she won't be able to resist posting the full video."
He paused and added, "And since Amy never posted such a Facebook status, she'll think Betty had someone hack her account to mess with her. After all, only the three of them were there today, and only Kevin recorded the video. Then Amy will fight back. Next time they clash, it won't be as discreet as today; it'll be public."
Elizabeth gave him an approving look. "You really get it. Watched a lot of TV dramas, huh?" Otherwise, how could he predict the actions of two wealthy wives so accurately?
Zachary laughed. "Nonsense."
Sure, he enjoyed some drama, but those TV shows weren't his thing. Growing up in a big family, he'd seen plenty of internal conflicts among the women. The stuff Betty and Amy pulled was child's play compared to the real family feuds.
He smiled knowingly. "If you were in a big family, you'd probably be the last one standing."
Elizabeth laughed. "You really have faith in me."
Zachary was spot on again.
After chatting for a bit, Elizabeth noticed it was time and bumped Amy's post to the top of Facebook's feed.
Meanwhile, Amy had just gotten back to the hotel after getting her wounds treated at the hospital. Out of habit, she checked the headlines on her phone and saw the video.
Her face twisted in anger. 'What was that bitch Betty trying to pull?' she thought.
The more Amy thought about it, the more she saw it as a setup. She believed Betty was trying to expose her own flaws first, then let the internet dig out the truth. Finally, she'd release the full video to flip the script and make Amy the target of online hate.
By then, everyone would be criticizing Amy, and Betty could clear her own name. After all, only the three of them were in the room today, and there were no cameras. Only Kevin had recorded the video, so it had to be Betty and her son behind this.
Amy was so mad she wanted to storm the hospital and beat Betty up, but she knew that wouldn't work. Causing a scene online wasn't the right move now.
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. Not only had she been beaten, but Betty had also hacked her account and posted the video to flip the situation and hurt her. Betty was going way too far.
What annoyed Amy even more was that the account was her secret one for showing off her wealth. She had never revealed her identity, and no one in the wealthy circle knew about it. If Betty exposed even this, she could imagine how embarrassed she'd be in the wealthy circle.
She hadn't faced such a setback in years, and she couldn't swallow her pride. So she contacted that evil wizard again.
She told him to deal with Betty first instead of Elizabeth. The evil wizard didn't mind the change and was even happier. After all, dealing with an ordinary person was much easier than dealing with a psychic. So he demanded extra money, a total of ten million dollars.
Amy didn't hesitate to transfer the money. This was the limit of her available funds. Of course, as long as the evil wizard could get rid of Betty and Elizabeth, it was worth it.
In any case, if things got out of hand, she could always humble herself and sweet-talk Orlando when he returned, and then manage to get some money. However, he must never discover her dealings with the malevolent wizard; she couldn't risk ruining the virtuous and beautiful image she held in his heart.
