Chapter 78 Steal Their Employees

Elizabeth hung up the phone.

Rebecca sat next to her, grinning. "Nice job! Richard thinks he's all that."

Out of all Elizabeth's brothers, he was the worst.

Elizabeth smirked. "Just yelling at him isn't enough. I want to poach their people too."

Rebecca's eyes sparkled. "Poach who?"

Elizabeth replied, "The Clark Group's operations director and his team. After Loren took over Clark Entertainment, Richard joined as an agent. He didn't like the original operations director, Herman Simmons, so he demoted him and his team. If they don't value them, we will."

Rebecca's eyes lit up. "I love the idea. Let's bring them to our studio and let them shine. Loren and Richard will be furious."

Elizabeth nodded. "Exactly. Plus, Herman's team is top-notch."

Rebecca was too excited to shop anymore. "Let's stop shopping and start recruiting."

They changed back into their clothes, bought what they liked, and left their address for delivery.

Hand in hand, they walked to the car.

"Where do we find them?" Rebecca asked.

Elizabeth said, "Herman's been picking up his kid from school lately. Let's meet him there."

They needed to recruit quietly, so Loren and Richard wouldn't interfere.

Elizabeth gave an address, and Rebecca set the navigation and drove off.

"After we get the operations team, should we find you an assistant? Then we can start scouting artists."

Rebecca was eager to build something with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth agreed. "Yeah, I need an assistant. I've been looking but haven't found the right one. I'm not just an artist; I'll be managing artists too. I need someone reliable, so I don't waste time switching assistants."

Rebecca thought for a moment. "I have someone in mind."

Elizabeth was curious. "Tell me more."

She trusted Rebecca.

Rebecca explained, "I have a college roommate who had to take care of her sick mom. Her boss wasn't happy, overloaded her with work, and didn't pay her for the leave. She had to quit. She needs money for her mom's surgery and is looking for a job that pays upfront, which is hard to find. She's capable, hardworking, and discreet. Perfect for you."

Rebecca continued, "She comes from a single-parent family. Her dad passed away when she was young. Her mom raised her and her sister alone, working two jobs to pay off debts and support their education. My friend worked part-time in college to help out. Their home isn't wealthy, but it's warm and welcoming."

She admired that warmth and motherly love. It was precious, and she wanted to preserve it.

Elizabeth thought for a moment. "If she becomes my assistant, she might be very busy and even have to leave Clifftonshireburg. Is she okay with that?"

Rebecca nodded. "She is. Her sister just graduated and decided to take care of their mom in the hospital. So now, she's out working to earn money for the surgery and medical expenses. She has experience and will earn more than a recent grad."

Rebecca added, "She had a boyfriend, and they were about to get married. But when her mom got sick, his family wanted her to send money but not go back to take care of her mom. They even suggested postponing the wedding. She broke up with him right away. So, besides her work skills, I admire her character."

Elizabeth valued character too. "She sounds great. Contact her and see if she's willing to meet me. If she gets the job, we'll advance her salary."

Rebecca nodded. "Okay, I'll reach out to her tonight."

She then asked, "For artists, should we poach from other companies or train new talent?"

Elizabeth replied thoughtfully, "What about poaching and nurturing artists who have been abandoned or suppressed by Clark Entertainment?"

She was done with her family and had no plans to reconcile.

Originally, she had just wanted to focus on her career and avoid family drama. But Richard and Loren had tried to blacklist her, blocking her career and hiring people to praise Brenda while smearing her name.

If she hadn't saved those photos or had Raymond's support, she'd be the one getting trashed online.

She didn't want to deal with them, but she wouldn't let them bully her either.

If they left her alone, they could coexist. But Loren and Richard had gone too far, trying to destroy her future. She had to fight back.

Using Clark Entertainment's resources to build her studio was one way to get revenge.

Artists who were overlooked or suppressed by Clark Entertainment would thrive with her.

This would expose Clark Group's flaws and make Loren and Richard regret their actions.

Clark Entertainment was powerful, always trying to block her from the industry. But she would surpass them.

The one who laughs last, laughs best.
