Chapter 101 Surprisingly Confident to Compare with Abigail
Nightfall Bar.
Gregory walked through the noisy lobby and took the elevator to the third floor.
Henry owned the club and Gregory had shares, so they had a private room reserved.
They always met here because it was quiet and private.
When Gregory opened the door to the private room, he frowned.
Henry and Quinn were drinking on the sofa, with Kimberly Harris and Dorothy Jackson on either side of Henry.
Kimberly and Dorothy were dressed provocatively, looking seductive.
Their chests pressed against Henry, and their eyes flirtatious.
Henry swirled his wine glass, the wine sparkling under the light.
Dorothy leaned in to kiss Henry, but he dodged.
She playfully punched his chest, "Mr. Clark, are you rejecting me?"
Henry smiled and kissed her cheek, "No, I care about you."
Hearing the door, Henry looked up and saw Gregory's gloomy face. His smile froze.
"Gregory, didn't you say you weren't coming?" Henry asked.
Gregory's frown deepened, "Either they leave, or you leave."
Henry leaned back, retorting, "Why don't you leave instead?"
Gregory's cold gaze made Henry uneasy.
Henry quickly straightened up and told Kimberly and Dorothy, "You can go now."
Gregory hated having women around when he drank, so Henry always kept things low-key in his presence.
Today, Henry had assumed Gregory wouldn’t show up.
Kimberly and Dorothy pouted, "Mr. Clark, let us stay."
Henry tensed up and dodged as they tried to pounce on him.
Their expressions soured.
They rarely got close to someone like Henry and were excited about the invitation. If they were kicked out, they would be the subject of ridicule.
Seeing them about to pounce again, Henry ducked behind Quinn and said firmly, "Get out, I'm only saying this once."
Kimberly and Dorothy exchanged reluctant glances.
They turned to Gregory, their eyes sparkling with interest.
Gregory was the head of the White family, wealthy and powerful, with a mature charm.
If they got close to him, they'd gain a lot.
Dorothy smiled and walked to Gregory, "Mr. White, let me pour you a drink."
She swayed her waist and poured him a glass of red wine, smiling flirtatiously.
Gregory smelled her strong perfume and stepped back, frowning, "Get lost, I'm married."
Dorothy paused, her eyes widening in disbelief.
In a place like this, they saw both married and unmarried men all the time. Many men came here seeking pleasure behind their wives' backs. They were trained to please men, married or not.
The club had strict rules but wasn't harsh on the women. They never forced anyone to sell their bodies, and if harassed, the club would step in. But if a woman wanted to get involved with powerful men, the club wouldn't interfere unless it became problematic, at which point they would be dismissed.
Many women were eager to advance by finding a wealthy man, hoping to avoid hard work. Ambitious ones weren't satisfied with just working here.
Everyone in Aramore knew Gregory's power.
Dorothy chuckled, "Mr. White, as long as Mrs. White doesn't find out, what's the harm? I can give you everything she can, and more. I guarantee you'll be well taken care of..."
She moved closer with a seductive smile.
Gregory's eyes hardened with disgust, "Get lost, you're fired."
Dorothy was stunned, her eyes wide with disbelief. This wasn't what she had anticipated. She prided herself on her beauty, believing it was why she had been chosen for this private room. Even among the club's women, her looks were top-notch. She had never failed to seduce a man before.
But Gregory rejected her!
Dorothy turned to Henry, "Mr. Clark, this should be mutually beneficial. Why fire me? Can you help me?"
Henry, now lounging on the sofa, shrugged, "I can't help you. Don't you know Gregory loves his wife? You better leave quietly."
Dorothy panicked. Henry had praised her earlier. She didn't expect him to change his attitude so quickly. Not only was he not offering to help, but he also told her to leave.
She wanted to say more, but Henry interrupted, "You know the rules. If you're smart, leave quietly, or even I can't protect you."
Dorothy was terrified, her lips trembling and unable to form words. She had thought Henry was just a rich kid who liked to have fun. Sometimes, she even thought he liked her.
But now, she realized it was all an illusion. The real Henry wasn't as easygoing as he seemed.
Feeling disheartened, Dorothy left the private room with Kimberly's support.
