Chapter 253 Avenging Abigail

"No! Gregory, listen to me!" Jessica struggled to crawl in front of Gregory, her tone anxious and flustered. "It wasn't me, it really wasn't me, Gregory, please believe me! I wasn't even at the competition that day!"

Gregory sneered, "Do I need to say why you weren't at the competition that day?"

He quietly stared at Jessica, his narrow eyes filled with a cold, sharp glint.

His gaze toward Jessica was as if he were looking at a dying person.

Jessica shivered at his icy, piercing stare, feeling as if she had fallen into an ice cave.

Her shoulders shrank, and her voice defending herself grew lower, losing the confidence it had before.

Though she could be arrogant and willful at times, she couldn't ignore the situation in front of her.

Gregory seemed calm on the surface, but his deep eyes held a stormy rage.

This version of Gregory instinctively made her feel afraid.

It was a fear from the depths of her soul, a fear of a powerful person.

Gregory leisurely stared at Jessica, as if enjoying her current expression.

His thin lips curved into a faint, mocking smile.

"Haven't I told you before, Abigail is my bottom line. If you dare touch her again, I'll make you regret ever coming into this world."

Gregory's voice was low, his tone casual, as if he were talking about the weather.

Jessica's body trembled violently, her eyes widening in terror.

She was wrong.

She shouldn't have messed with Abigail!

Gregory was a devil!

This man was too dangerous!

And she had once foolishly thought she could control him?

Jessica took a deep breath, forcing a smile. "Gregory, I know I was wrong. I won't ever target Abigail again. Please, let me go, okay?"

Gregory snorted coldly, his gaze indifferent and distant. "Next time? Do you think I'll give you another chance?"

Hearing this, Jessica felt a sense of foreboding.

The next second, the bodyguard who had been holding her down suddenly took long strides toward her.

Jessica was terrified, continuously moving her body backward and saying, "Don't come any closer."

The bodyguards were unmoved, continuing forward.

They clenched their fists, the joints cracking loudly. "Ms. Martin, this is not up to you!"

Cold sweat broke out on Jessica's forehead, her eyes filled with fear. "What are you going to do? Don't come any closer!"

The two bodyguards lifted Jessica from both sides and walked toward the window.

Their movements were rough, showing no intention of being gentle.

Gregory's cold, slightly mocking voice sounded in her ear. "Since you like to harm others so much, why not experience being messed with yourself?"

Jessica shook her head desperately, tears streaming down her face.

"No! I know I was wrong, I really know I was wrong!" she shouted.

A wave of immense regret washed over her as she stared at the approaching window, her legs trembling.

Gregory was a madman!

This was the seventeenth floor!

He actually wanted her to jump from here, wasn't he afraid of causing a death?

Jessica looked back, only to see Gregory's sharp, chiseled profile.

In the dim light of the room, his profile added a touch of mystery.

The red liquid in his wine glass swirled gently, making him appear even more dangerous.

At that moment, Gregory slowly turned his head, his eagle-like eyes looking at her as if she were prey.

This scene would remain a nightmare for Jessica for many years.

She would never forget how Gregory's gaze made her feel like an inanimate object.

The next second, a pair of hands forcefully pushed her from behind.

Jessica's body uncontrollably fell toward the half-open window.

Her entire body fell, forming a perfect arc in the air.

Jessica screamed in terror, her eyes filled with fear.

The sound of the wind rushing past her ears, and the faint murmurs of passersby below.

Just when Jessica thought she was going to die, her body suddenly stopped in mid-air.

The falling motion abruptly halted.

Jessica's body dangled in the air, swaying uncontrollably.

The expected pain didn't come. Jessica slowly opened her eyes and suddenly remembered that they had tied a rope around her waist.

Jessica looked up and saw the two bodyguards staring at her expressionlessly.

"Pull me up, I'm afraid of heights!" Jessica exclaimed.

The bodyguards exchanged a glance and chuckled. "Afraid of heights? That's perfect. Ms. Martin, Mr. White said that only by making you truly remember the feeling of fear will you understand that some people are not to be messed with."

With that, they really ignored Jessica and turned back to the room.

Jessica's forehead veins bulged in anger, wanting to scream, but she suddenly noticed that more and more passersby were gathering around.

She felt dizzy and faint. The two things Jessica feared most in her life were heights and embarrassment. Now, both had come to pass.

Gregory wanted to teach her a lesson, to make her remember the feeling of fear.

From now on, she wouldn't dare to mess with Abigail again!

Understanding all this, Jessica gritted her teeth.

Why was Abigail so lucky?

Why was she worth Gregory, such a big shot, going to such lengths for her?

This kind of man should have been hers!

If it weren't for Abigail, she should be Gregory's wife right now!

As these venomous thoughts surged, a curious voice suddenly came from the side.

"Isn't that Ms. Jessica Martin? What's she doing here?"

"Ms. Jessica Martin? The one who stole her sister's design and framed her?"

"I saw that news too. I can't understand why there are such vicious women in the world!"

"I don't know what Roman White saw in her."

The crowd kept discussing, getting more and more excited.

So much so that everyone focused on talking about the evil things Jessica had done, ignoring the fact that she was still hanging in mid-air.

Seeing their increasingly outrageous comments, Jessica was furious.

She shouted, "Have you said enough? Can you think of a way to get me down first?"

Her commanding tone made it seem like she wasn't asking for help but giving orders.

This attitude made everyone present uncomfortable.

They frowned and said coldly, "You're so arrogant, how could we be worthy of serving you?"

This remark caused the whole crowd to burst into laughter.

Finally, the onlookers, having had their fill of the spectacle, gradually left, ignoring Jessica's plight.

Jessica's face turned red with anger, her brain throbbing from the prolonged upside-down position.

Dizzy spells hit her, and Jessica finally couldn't help but beg for mercy. "Gregory, I know I was wrong, please let me go! I promise, I will never go against Abigail again."
