Chapter 49 Roman's Apology
Roman returned the phone to Colin and said, "Drive me to find Abigail. I want to call off the engagement!"
Colin took back the phone, wanting to say something but didn't.
He thought for a moment and asked, "Shouldn't you reconsider this? Calling off an engagement is not a small matter."
Although he shouldn't interfere in other people's love lives, he didn't think Abigail had done anything wrong.
Should she be humiliated just because she was not loved?
Roman was angry at the moment, and he couldn't care about so much.
He couldn't wait any longer. He wanted to give Jessica a complete home and stop her suffering.
"Stop talking nonsense. Take me there quickly. If you don't want to go, lend me some money, and I'll take a taxi."
Colin originally wanted to say something else, but when he saw Roman's expression, he immediately gave up on persuading him.

Colin fell silent, picked up the car keys, and led Roman towards the garage.

But if she really loved Roman so much, how could she have blocked all his contact information?

"Hello? Who is this?"

Abigail had just finished bathing and was ready to rest when she suddenly received this unfamiliar call.
After a long silence without a response, Abigail frowned and repeated her question.
Roman regained his senses, his expression somewhat embarrassed.

Hearing the familiar voice, Abigail was somewhat surprised.
"Roman? Do you need something?"
"Where are you right now? I want to talk to you about something."
"Just say it over the phone. I don't really want to see you, and it's almost 11 pm now. You've already disturbed my rest."
Abigail rejected Roman mercilessly.
Roman glanced at Colin, feeling a bit awkward, and his expression instantly changed.
He said, "Some things cannot be explained over the phone. Make an appointment, and let's meet."
His tone was harsh, assertive, and even felt commanding.
Abigail fell silent for a moment and then asked, "You don't find me disgusting and repulsive anymore?"
Roman froze for a moment and suddenly remembered that he had said many insulting words about Abigail to vent his anger.
He felt like his face had been slapped, so painful.
"I'm sorry. Is it okay now?"
Roman was a proud man whom the White family pampered. This was the first time he had bowed his head in front of a woman.
He felt ashamed and wished he could find a hole to hide in.
Fortunately, there was no one else around him except Colin.
Otherwise, if others knew, wouldn't they laugh at him?
Abigail sneered and said coldly, "If an apology lacks sincerity, then it is not necessary. What I want is not just an apology but for you to truly realize your mistake."
Roman immediately became angry. "Abigail, that's enough. I have already apologized. What more do you want?"
Abigail remained silent.
They stayed like this for a full three minutes.
Colin sat in the driver's seat, listening to their conversation, feeling at a loss.
So he frantically signaled to Roman with his eyes.
As if saying, "Roman, just admit your mistake. Why do you care so much about your face? Besides, it was you who had sex with another woman, breaking the engagement.”
"Abigail didn't even beat you up, and you're still so arrogant!"
Roman tightly gripped his phone, his fingers turning white.
After who knows how long, he finally gathered up the courage and said again,
"I'm sorry."
This time, his tone was no longer superficial, but his expression was very humiliated.
Abigail smiled satisfactorily and said, "Okay, I accept your apology. However, I have no intention of forgiving you."
Not every "I'm sorry" can be met with an "it's okay."
