Chapter 330 Going to Be a Dad

After work, Abigail went to the florist to buy a bouquet and instructed the driver to head to the cemetery.

Aramore Cemetery was somewhat remote, but the environment was excellent, nestled between mountains and water, making it a very nice place.

Abigail had personally chosen this plot of land.

If she hadn't discovered it in time, Michelle's body would have been buried by David in some random place.

Abigail slowly squatted down and placed her mother's favorite flowers in front of the tombstone. "Mom, I'm here to see you."

"Mom, a lot has happened recently, and I've been through a lot."

"I never knew before that you had suffered so much without me noticing."

"I'm sorry, Mom. I found out too late, but don't worry, I've avenged you. Elaine has paid the price, and although David seems fine now, his health is deteriorating."

"Mom, I'm leaving now. I'll come to see you next time."

As it gradually got dark, Abigail said goodbye to Michelle and left the cemetery.

The driver was driving in the front, and Abigail was coordinating work with Lily on her phone.

At this moment, the car radio suddenly broadcasted a news report. "Recently, Darwin is critically ill, and the internal struggle within the Worthington Family is intense, with no clear winner yet. It is said that Quinn has been stabbed, and the perpetrator is still unknown."

Hearing this, Abigail suddenly looked up.

Quinn was injured?

She quickly took out her phone to call Gregory, but the line was busy.

Just as Abigail was about to call Henry, the driver suddenly exclaimed, "Oh no, the brakes aren't working!"

Abigail's heart raced, and she asked nervously, "What's going on? Weren't they fine when we left?"

The driver gripped the steering wheel tightly and said in a panic, "I don't know, they just suddenly failed. What should we do?"

Abigail frowned, her grip on the phone tightening, but her voice remained calm as usual.

"Don't panic. Check if any other functions of the car are malfunctioning."

Perhaps because Abigail was so composed, the driver's initial panic subsided a bit.

He quickly checked the car's other functions. A moment later, the driver said, "It's bad. The car can't slow down. If we keep going at this speed, we'll definitely crash at the traffic lights."

Hearing this, Abigail's heart sank.

A few hundred yards ahead was an intersection with traffic lights.

If they hit a red light, it would mean a certain crash.

Just as Abigail was at a loss for what to do, a strong light suddenly shone from the rearview mirror.

Abigail turned her head to see a car closely following them, seemingly about to crash into them.

Abigail's eyes narrowed, and she instructed the driver, "Can you swim? Head toward the river, let's take a gamble!"

The driver, following her instructions, quickly turned the steering wheel.

Since they were near the river, there was a guardrail by the road. The car crashed through the guardrail and plunged straight into the river.

The car behind them braked sharply and stopped by the roadside. But it quickly fled the scene at top speed.

The river water gradually submerged the car, seeping in through the gaps, making the car sink deeper and deeper.

Abigail first searched the toolbox but found her leg was stuck.

She struggled desperately to free her leg, but it was injured and compressed, making it more painful the harder she struggled.

Gritting her teeth, Abigail didn't dare to relax for a moment. Using all her strength, she finally managed to free her leg.

However, the driver was already on the verge of fainting, with a head injury.

Ignoring her own pain, Abigail quickly searched the toolbox.

She found a life hammer and smashed it against the glass.

The glass cracked instantly, and Abigail's eyes lit up with hope. She continued to hammer away.

Once the glass shattered, she quickly smashed the driver's side window as well.

After doing all this, Abigail was almost exhausted, feeling completely drained.

But she knew she couldn't fall asleep at this moment.

Summoning strength and courage from somewhere, Abigail dragged the driver and swam desperately upwards.

After this ordeal, her lungs felt like they were about to burst. Abigail struggled to the shore.

Fortunately, some bystanders were passing by and extended a helping hand, pulling them both up.

Abigail lay on the road, gasping for breath, her vision darkening until she lost consciousness.

Before completely passing out, she heard the anxious and panicked voices of the bystanders. "We've got them out! Call an ambulance!"

Meanwhile, Gregory received a call during a meeting. "Are you a relative of Abigail? The patient was in a car accident and is currently at CyberMed Center..."

Gregory didn't hear the rest of the words. His mind felt like it had exploded, and his ears were ringing.

He couldn't focus on anything else and rushed out, ignoring the clients present.

Standing beside him, Leo didn't know what had happened but skillfully handled the follow-up matters.

"Dear executives, we apologize, but Mr. White has an emergency to attend to. It seems we won't be able to have dinner together today. Let's reschedule," Leo said.

The executives looked at each other, a bit disappointed, but said nothing.

At this moment, Gregory quickly ran to the garage and drove to the hospital.

His blood felt like it was freezing, his body cold, and he could hardly breathe.

He couldn't imagine how Abigail, who was fine when she left in the morning, could suddenly be in a car accident.

Gregory gripped the steering wheel tightly, the veins on his hand bulging, his eyes fixed on the road ahead.

Although his face appeared calm, only he knew that his nerves were stretched to the limit.

The short ten-minute drive felt like an eternity.

When he finally stopped the car, Gregory didn't waste a moment and ran straight to the emergency room.

"Doctor, how is my wife?" Gregory asked.

The doctor looked a bit serious as he replied, "Mr. White, you need to be mentally prepared."

Gregory felt like something exploded in his mind, his chest tightening as if an invisible hand was squeezing it, causing sharp pain.

His legs felt weak and his face turned pale.

The doctor didn't expect such a strong reaction and quickly realized the misunderstanding, hurriedly explaining, "Sorry, Mr. White, listen to me. Your wife is not in serious danger, just a mild concussion. Also, she was in the water for a long time, and her lungs took in water. She is still unconscious."

Hearing this, Gregory breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "Really?"

"Really!"

"Then why did you tell me to be prepared?" Gregory's face turned cold, staring at the doctor.

Facing the intense pressure, the doctor quickly broke into a cold sweat.

He hurriedly explained, "I meant that your wife is two months pregnant. You need to be prepared to become a father!"
