Chapter 309 Gluttony
Gregory lowered his head and gently kissed Abigail's forehead, soothing her in a low voice, "Don't think too much about it. Leave these things to me, okay?"
Abigail nodded and didn't say anything more.
After returning home, Abigail was still a bit downcast, so Gregory instructed the chef to prepare some desserts.
The chef quickly made a tiramisu, Abigail's favorite.
The moment she received the dessert, Abigail's eyes lit up. "Thank you, Mr. White!"
"Go ahead and eat, but only a little. Don't eat too much, or you might have trouble sleeping tonight," Gregory said.
Abigail obediently nodded and took a big spoonful.
The taste of chocolate and cream filled her mouth, instantly capturing Abigail's heart. Her previously irritable mood gradually improved.
Seeing Abigail enjoying her dessert so much, Gregory also smiled.
Halfway through eating, Abigail noticed a burning gaze on her. She looked up and met Gregory's deep eyes. She gave a sweet smile and offered a piece to Gregory's lips.
"Mr. White, you have some too," Abigail said.
Gregory was slightly taken aback but instinctively opened his mouth to taste it. It was a bit too sweet for him. But seeing Abigail's expectant eyes, he still nodded. "It tastes good."
"I think so too!" Abigail's mood improved, and she ate even more happily.
However, the next second, the small cake in her hand was taken away.
Gregory said. "Alright, you've had enough. You can't eat any more. Go wash up and rest early."
"No!" Abigail looked at Gregory with puppy eyes, pleading, "Mr. White, just one more bite, please."
Gregory smiled slightly and firmly refused. "No, you've had too much."
Abigail glared at him angrily and stormed off to the bathroom, thinking, 'Fine, if I couldn't eat it now, I'd have Lily buy some for me at the office tomorrow! Let's see how he stops me then!'
Watching Abigail's angry back, Gregory shook his head helplessly and put the remaining cake back in the fridge.
Olivia was very angry. When she returned to the villa, she saw Elaine sitting in the living room.
She paused and walked over to ask, "Aunt Elaine, why are you still up so late?"
Elaine took her hand and had her sit beside her, asking with concern, "Olivia, didn't I tell you before not to come back so late? What if something dangerous happens?"
Olivia waved her hand dismissively. "Aunt Elaine, I'm not a child anymore. How could anything dangerous happen?" Her tone was clearly impatient.
Elaine wanted to say more but opened her mouth and said nothing.
Forget it, if she kept talking, Olivia would just find her annoying.
"By the way, Aunt Elaine, I ran into that bitch Abigail today and told her everything you told me. It felt so good to vent my anger!" Olivia said.
'What's so great about Abigail? She's just an illegitimate child from who knows where! She's just like that slut Michelle; Gregory will eventually get tired of her!' Olivia thought.
Elaine's face changed dramatically. "What? You went to see Abigail?"
"Yeah, Aunt Elaine, in my opinion, since you have the video, you should release it soon so everyone can see Michelle's true colors!" Olivia said angrily.
Elaine's expression kept changing, her face turning all sorts of colors as she demanded, "Olivia, what did I tell you? Don't go looking for trouble with Abigail. Why didn't you listen to me?"
Olivia was stunned and incredulous. "Aunt Elaine, why are you so angry? Didn't you tell me you had a video of Michelle cheating? Are you saying you lied to me?"
