Chapter 94 Give Each Other a Chance

After Gregory and the president left the classroom, Gregory looked pretty down. The president, though, was all smiles and full of praise.

"Gregory, your presentation was amazing! I had this sudden idea, and you went with it. Thanks a lot," the president gushed.

Gregory gave a half-hearted response, clearly not in the mood.

The president didn't seem to notice, still grinning. He gave Gregory a firm pat on the shoulder. "Had a fight with Abigail, huh?"

Gregory finally looked up. "Not really, just a misunderstanding."

The president nodded. "Couples fight. Just talk it out. Girls can be a bit willful; they need some pampering."

Gregory sighed. "I wish she could be more carefree."

Abigail was just too sensible and well-behaved. People might think she was cold, but she was really soft-hearted. She'd been through a lot and was scared of getting hurt again.

As they talked, a familiar voice called out, "Mr. White!"

Gregory stopped and turned around, his frown easing into a slight smile.

Abigail, out of breath, stopped in front of him.

Gregory, happy but concerned, said, "Just walk, don't fall."

Abigail shook her head, just staring at him. "Mr. White, I need to talk to you."

Gregory glanced at the president, who got the hint.

The president hastily said, "You two talk. Gregory, dinner's on me next time."

Gregory nodded politely.

After the president left, Gregory asked, "What do you want to tell me?"

He had a feeling he knew. They'd agreed to talk things out.

He just couldn't figure out Abigail's feelings.

Would she stay away from him?

Gregory felt a bit saddened by this thought.

Could it be, as Elaine said, that he and Abigail could never fall in love?

The engagement was originally Gregory's, but he was in a coma then. Abigail had forgotten him and their memories.

Would history repeat itself?

Just thinking about Abigail staying away made him regretful.

Maybe he was too pushy.

Lost in thought, Gregory suddenly felt a shadow over him.

Abigail had walked up to him, stood on tiptoe, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him.

Feeling her soft lips and sweet scent, Gregory's eyes widened. He could hardly believe it and felt like he was dreaming.

He held his breath, afraid to move, staring at Abigail, scared this beautiful moment would vanish.

The moment Abigail kissed him, she regretted it.

She didn't know what came over her—just a moment of impulse, and she kissed him.

Now she was stuck, unsure how to explain.

Instinctively, she wanted to pull away, but Gregory seemed to read her mind. He immediately held her waist, taking control. He cupped the back of her head, deepening the kiss, not letting her retreat.

At that moment, a bunch of students were coming out of the classroom and saw them. Everyone was stunned, eyes wide with shock and surprise.

This was Abigail and Gregory.

Seeing them kiss, everyone remembered Gregory mentioning he was married during his presentation.

They immediately had a wild guess.

When the kiss ended, Abigail noticed the crowd watching, eyes full of gossip.

Embarrassed, she buried her face in Gregory's chest.

So many people saw it—how embarrassing!

Gregory knew she was shy. He glanced at the onlookers, then scooped her up and walked away quickly.

After they left, the crowd snapped out of it and started gossiping.

No one had expected Gregory's wife to be Abigail!

For a while, rumors flew everywhere.

In just a few minutes, there were already hundreds of posts on the forum.

Soon, people noticed the forum seemed to have crashed!

It was lagging, and they couldn't even log in.

Such a spectacle was unprecedented at Aramore University.

Meanwhile, Abigail and Gregory, at the center of the storm, were back in the car.

After being carried away, Abigail kept her face buried in Gregory's chest. Even after they entered the car, she did not want to lift her head.

Feeling her softness, Gregory's heart softened. He smiled, rubbed her hair, and said, "No one's watching anymore, you can lift your head."

Abigail shook her head, staying put in his arms.

'I was too impulsive, kissing Gregory in public.' Thinking of that passionate kiss, her cheeks turned even redder.

Gregory chuckled, "We're legally married. It's just a kiss, no big deal. Why so embarrassed?"

"No, I'm not!" Abigail mumbled.

Gregory sighed, "Our Abigail wouldn't be embarrassed. Mr. White must have seen it wrong."

This was the first time Gregory called himself Mr. White in front of her, his tone full of affection.

Abigail slowly lifted her head. "Mr. White, I..."

She hesitated, wanting to say something, but the words wouldn't come. Especially after that kiss, her mind was a mess.

Gregory saw her hesitation and said, "It's okay. If you don't know what to say, just listen to me first, okay?"

Abigail was stunned for a moment, then nodded.

Gregory pulled her back into his arms. "I know you have feelings for me. So, face your heart. Give me and yourself a chance, okay?"
