Chapter 392 Is Michelle Still Alive?

"All your elaborate scheming, what good does it do you?" Abigail looked at Tom in confusion.

Tom chuckled and revealed his true intentions. "I want the White Group's shares, and I want to cause trouble for Gregory."

"Then you've got the wrong person. Why should the White Group's shares go to you? Just because you're an illegitimate child?"

Tom nodded. "So what if I'm illegitimate? I still have inheritance rights. Gregory and his mother not only withheld our share but also tried to get rid of us. If it weren't for Gregory and Grace, my mother wouldn't have died."

He came back for revenge. Mentioning his mother, Tom's expression suddenly turned ferocious, with uncontrollable anger in his deep eyes.

Abigail looked at him and said calmly, "I don't know what happened with the White family back then, nor do I understand the grievances between you, but I can tell you clearly, Mom and Gregory are not despicable people."

Hearing this, Tom suddenly laughed, a laugh filled with undisguised mockery. "Abigail, you're so naive. You've been spoiled for too long, don't you know how sinister people can be? Do you think the years of suffering and poverty my mother and I endured were a joke?"

Abigail took a deep breath and said, "That's not what I mean. I sympathize with your situation, but I believe Gregory and Mom are not that kind of people. If you have grievances, I can ask them to come and confront you face to face."

Tom's hatred didn't seem fake, but she still couldn't believe what he said."No need, I can judge for myself what's true or not. I called you here today to tell you that I'm officially declaring war on him. I will use my own abilities to take back everything that belongs to me." Perhaps recalling the past, Tom's emotions were somewhat out of control.

Lily was so scared that her face turned pale, and she had trouble breathing.

Abigail quietly held her hand and comforted her in a low voice, "Don't be afraid, he won't hurt us."

She looked up at Tom. "Even if you release the information you have, I can handle it. I know you must have other leverage. If you want money, I can give it to you. If it's something else, it's impossible."

After saying this, she no longer paid attention to Tom and turned to leave with Lily.

After she left, Tom sneered and dialed a number.

After leaving the private room, Abigail slowly exhaled, but her tightly furrowed brows did not relax at all.

Tom's state seemed off.

She thought for a moment and quickly took out her phone to call Gregory and told him about the situation.

Gregory was silent for a long time before suddenly sneering. "Didn't give them money? We gave them the most back then."

"Is there some misunderstanding?" Abigail felt uneasy.

Gregory comforted her, "Leave this to me, you don't need to worry about it. Don't let unworthy people affect your mood."

"Okay, I understand. Take care."

Gregory's lips curved slightly. "I will."

After hanging up, Abigail felt relieved. When her phone rang again, she ignored the unfamiliar number. By the third call, she answered in frustration.

On the other end of the line, David's angry voice came through. "Abigail, is Michelle still alive?"

His words struck Abigail like a thunderclap, leaving her speechless. How had David discovered Michelle, shielded by Caius all these years, was still alive? Abigail's silence confirmed his suspicions, igniting his fury over years of deceit.

David said, "So it's true? When did you find out? No wonder you suddenly had the confidence to go against me, you had someone backing you up! Abigail, I'm telling you, you'd better give me Michelle's address, or else you'll be in trouble!"

The relentless scolding snapped Abigail back, but she stayed outwardly calm. "I don't know what you're talking about. Mom was buried by you personally. Don't you know best?"

David was stunned and perplexed. He had buried Michelle after the hospital confirmed her death. Was the man lying? Why deceive him? David's mind was a whirlwind of confusion.

Abigail sneered, her tone icy. "David, I think you've been in the hospital too long and have gone hysterical. Don't bother me again. Don't think that changing your number will stop me from blocking you."

After saying this, she didn't give David a chance to speak and directly hung up the phone.

She took a deep breath, covered her wildly beating heart, and instructed Lily, "Go find Leo and have him check who has been in contact with David recently."

Michelle's secret identity was leaked, and she needed to find the mastermind.

Seeing Abigail's pale face, Lily worriedly said, "Okay, I'll do it right away. Ms. Martin, you should rest for a bit. You don't look well."

Abigail waved her off and silently returned to her office.

In a fit of rage, David hurled his phone, shattering the screen. Once he calmed down, he painfully got out of bed to retrieve it, feeling a sharp pang of heartache. It was his last phone. Jessica and Kayla hadn't visited in ages, and no one else had come to see him.

If this phone was also destroyed, he would be completely cut off from the world.

Thinking of this, David couldn't help but feel a sense of desolation.

When Michelle had cancer and was hospitalized, he had disliked the smell of disinfectant in the hospital and only visited once every ten days or so, spending the rest of his time with Kayla.

Was this God's punishment for him?

He opened his phone and dialed a certain number, questioning, "Were you lying to me? I personally watched Michelle being buried."

The man on the other end didn't speak and directly hung up the phone.

Just as David was about to curse, his phone suddenly received a text message.

He opened it to reveal a photo of Michelle. Her face showed little aging, though her eyes had softened from their youthful sharpness. But what shocked him most was the man beside her—Caius!
