Chapter 300 The Gaze from Mr. White
After work, Gregory came to pick them up.
Lily followed Abigail downstairs and was surprised to see Leo there as well.
Remembering what Abigail had said, her cheeks instantly turned red.
Leo's eyes immediately fell upon Lily. Observing her head bowed, cheeks flushed, and an apparent reluctance to meet his gaze, he couldn't help but feel a tug at his heartstrings.
His fingers slightly curled around the steering wheel, and Leo quietly sighed. 'Lily is just too timid. But she is really cute.'
He had no idea how intense his gaze was at that moment.
Even without looking up, Lily could feel a burning gaze on her.
She shyly bit her lip. 'Why is Leo so straightforward?'
That gaze seemed like it was about to melt her.
Abigail noticed their interaction and gave a knowing smile.
She had said it, Leo was so outstanding, how could Lily not feel anything?
Seeing Lily's flushed face, Abigail had the urge to pinch her cheeks.
Gregory noticed Abigail's expression and smiled helplessly.
How had he not noticed before that Abigail liked to play matchmaker?
But this side of Abigail was more lively and even more endearing.
Gregory opened the car door and broke the silence. "Stop daydreaming, get in the car."
"Okay!" Abigail snapped out of it and quickly got into the back seat.
Lily naturally didn't want to disturb them and took the front passenger seat.
Leo reminded, "Buckle up."
His voice was clear and carried a sense of steadiness that inexplicably made people feel at ease.
Lily quickly buckled her seatbelt, and the blush that had just faded returned to her cheeks.
Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of a high-end restaurant.
Leo was the first to unbuckle and get out, opening the back door before moving to the driver's side.
But before his hand could touch the handle, the door was pushed open from the inside.
Lily got out of the car, blushing, and said, "I can do it myself."
Leo smiled without saying anything. After she got out, he handed the car keys to the valet at the restaurant entrance.
Gregory had reserved the largest private room in the restaurant.
Henry and Tricia had already arrived and were discussing work.
As soon as she saw Abigail, Tricia immediately stood up and rushed over to her.
"Abigail, long time no see, I've missed you!" said Tricia.
Abigail, soft and delicate, was so lovable in her arms that Tricia couldn't help but nuzzle her cheek against Abigail's shoulder.
"Abigail, you smell so good. What perfume are you using? I want to try it too!" Tricia asked.
Abigail smiled helplessly, gently patting her back, and said, "No perfume, just regular body wash. I'll recommend it to you later."
"Okay." Tricia nodded with a smile.
Abigail and Tricia had a great relationship, and the atmosphere was very good, but the next second, Tricia received a warning look from Gregory.
She gasped, awkwardly letting go of Abigail, and smiled ingratiatingly. "Mr. White, long time no see."
Gregory had been displeased with her hugging Abigail, but seeing her being so sensible, he didn't say anything more, just nodded slightly.
Seeing that Gregory was no longer giving her a murderous look, Tricia quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
She patted her chest and whispered in Abigail's ear, "Your husband hasn't changed a bit, still so possessive!"
She had never met a man as domineering as Gregory in real life!
Abigail was her best friend, so what was wrong with a hug?
She didn't just want to hug, she wanted to kiss too!
As soon as this thought came up, Gregory seemed to sense something and suddenly shot another icy look her way.
Tricia fell silent.
