Chapter 50 Paying Money

Roman had nothing to say after hearing Abigail's words.
"Then let's solve one thing at a time. I know I have wronged you, but the recording has damaged not only my reputation but also the reputation of the White family. I hope you can delete it."
He knew that Abigail wouldn't listen to him just because he was being stubborn, so he slowed down his tone.
Abigail sneered and exposed his thoughts. "Do you think I will compromise just because you mentioned the White family?"
"Then you tell me, what do you want in order to delete the recording?"
"I said it before: you compensate me for my emotional damage and the compensation for wasting my youth. Fifty million dollars, not a cent less."
Roman took a deep breath. "Are you serious? 50 million dollars? Why don't you rob a bank!"
Compared to Roman's shock, Abigail remained surprisingly calm.
She said slowly, "It has been 12 years since we got engaged. During these 12 years, I have never done anything that goes against our engagement. But what have you done?"
Abigail was about to continue speaking, but Roman quickly interrupted, "Enough. I'll compensate you. Is that okay? But I don't have the money now. I'll give it to you when I have it."
Abigail fell silent for a moment, nodded, and then said, "Okay, but you have to write me an IOU."
Roman couldn't believe it. "I won't deceive you. If I said I would give you this money, then I would definitely give it to you!"
"Men are good at lying. You even said in front of my mother that you would take care of me for a lifetime. How did it turn out?"
Thinking of Michelle, Roman didn't say the retort that came to his mind.
In the end, he was indeed in the wrong for sleeping with other women.
Young Abigail was cute and exquisite, like a doll, but she was only close to Gregory.
Roman was extremely jealous at the time because he dreamed of having a sister.
Later, Elaine said that Grace wanted Abigail to get engaged to Gregory. Roman panicked and hurried to beg Elaine to fight for the engagement.
In the end, he managed to get it and was overjoyed.
He assured Michelle that he would protect Abigail for the rest of his life.

Thinking about this, Roman suddenly felt guilty and even lowered his voice.

"I can write an IOU and transfer the money to you. I hope you can keep your promise, too."

"Of course," Abigail agreed readily.

She had sent out the recording because she was very angry with Roman.

She thought Roman was seeing someone else, but she didn't expect him to belittle her and badmouth her behind her back.

In fact, she had asked Gregory to delete that recording a long time ago.

After all, she just wanted to vent her anger and didn't want the White family's reputation to be affected.

Roman was surprised that Abigail agreed so quickly Today.

He cleared his throat and seemed more confident than before.

He said, "The second thing is about Allison."

Abigail was not surprised by this and responded, signaling Roman to continue.

"Allison didn't intentionally lock you in the fitting room. Why do you deliberately target her? Just because she is Jessica's friend, does that mean you can bully her?"

Abigail suddenly laughed.

Although she didn't say a word, Roman could hear a hint of mockery in her laughter.

So he asked, "What are you laughing at?"

Abigail smiled and said, "I'm laughing at how stupid you are. Jessica told you that Allison didn't do it on purpose, didn't she?"

Roman was speechless. "..."

He thought, "Why does she always have to attack me personally?"

"Roman, whether or not it was intentional, the school has made a judgment. If you have any objections, you can go to the Principal. I can't decide," Abigail said coldly.

But Roman thought she was being defensive, so he said, "You should admit it if you're wrong, Abigail. I hope you can apologize to Jessica. Her eyes are almost swollen from crying, but she's still speaking up for you. Take a lesson from her."

Abigail shook her head slowly and didn't say anything.

Roman... is beyond redemption.

She didn't want to waste any more time talking to him.

Because of their past relationship, Abigail finally reminded him, "Roman, I hope you won't regret your current choices in the future."

Roman frowned and looked confused at Colin.

What did this mean? Why couldn't he understand at all?

Colin shrugged, indicating that he didn't understand either.

Roman had no choice but to decide to go to Aramore University tomorrow himself.

Because Abigail saw him having sex with Jessica, he lost his dignity in front of Abigail.

When he finds out the truth, he will definitely regain his dignity from Abigail!
"Final question: have you been getting close with Gregory recently?" Abigail's hand, ready to hang up, stopped. She sneered, "That's my private matter. What's it to you?"

Roman had nothing to say, so he angrily said, "Abigail, don't pretend to be innocent. Jessica told me that Allison was punished because you asked Gregory for help."

Abigail shrugged indifferently. "Since you already know, why are you asking me?"

Roman said angrily, "So, Gregory stopped my card because of you?"

"What?" Abigail was clearly stunned. She had no idea about this.

Roman sneered, "Don't pretend to be innocent. You must have said something to Gregory for him to stop my card!"

Abigail didn't expect that Gregory would punish Roman without her knowledge. She felt somewhat touched and then smiled slowly.

Roman waited a long time for Abigail's response, thinking she was feeling guilty, so he felt more confident.

"What's the matter? Can't say anything? Abigail, our affair has nothing to do with Gregory. You shouldn't have involved him."

Abigail sarcastically said, "What's the matter? Only you can rely on the White family to bully me, but I'm not allowed to find someone to help me? You're being too unfair."

"Abigail, this is not even a thing..."

Roman suddenly felt somewhat powerless, which was not what he meant.

He didn't want Gregory to be involved.

He was already afraid of Gregory, and if Gregory knew what he had done to Abigail, he would probably despise him for embarrassing the White family, right?

"Roman, you're telling me all this. Is it because you don't want to pay back the money?"

Roman exploded like an angry lion and angrily said, "Who said I don't want to pay back? It's just fifty million dollars. I'll give it to you!"

Abigail was in a good mood and couldn't help but laugh. "That's great. Remember to give me the IOU tomorrow. Don't forget."

After finishing his work, Gregory returned to his bedroom and saw Abigail smiling while talking on the phone.

Looking at the delicate smile on Abigail's face, Gregory frowned.

Only after the call was hung up did Gregory casually ask, "Who was calling so late?"

Abigail didn't notice his unusual tone, so she truthfully answered, "It was Roman calling. Gregory, I heard that you stopped his card?"
