Chapter 320 This Won't Happen Again

After the fashion show, Abigail returned backstage, still in full makeup, and collapsed on the couch, not wanting to move.

She was utterly exhausted!

On top of that, her nerves had been on edge for so long that once she relaxed, all the fatigue and drowsiness hit her at once.

She tightly closed her eyes and fell asleep in less than half a minute.

This was the scene Gregory saw when he walked in.

He slowly squatted down, looking at Abigail with a heart full of pity.

Lily followed behind him, looking a bit uneasy.

Even though Gregory had toned down his sharp and powerful aura, Lily still couldn't help but feel scared.

"Mr. White..." Lily spoke up.

Gregory turned his head and glanced at her, placing his index finger on his lips, signaling her not to disturb Abigail.

Lily quickly shut her mouth.

Seeing this, Leo directly took her hand and led her out.

Lily looked at him in confusion and asked, "Leo, why did you bring me out? I still have a lot to discuss with Ms. Martin about the fashion show."

She was really busy!

Leo gave her a helpless look and lightly tapped her forehead with his finger, saying, "Mrs. White is already so tired, do you really have the heart to wake her up? Besides, Mr. White is there with her, what are you so anxious about?"

Lily fell silent.

It seemed to make sense, but something still felt off.

Leo raised an eyebrow at her and said, "Come on, to celebrate Mrs. White's first successful fashion show, I'll treat you to a big meal."

Hearing the words "big meal," Lily's eyes lit up, but she quickly hesitated again. "Isn't that a bit inappropriate?"

What if Abigail woke up and she still had work to report?

Leo directly said, "What's inappropriate about it? Come with me. Mrs. White is so exhausted, she probably won't wake up anytime soon. Reporting the work tomorrow will be just the same."

And so, Lily was coaxed into leaving with him.

In the room, Abigail was still sound asleep.

Gregory opened his laptop and started working.

Under the light, Gregory's features were handsome and well-defined. The bright light cast a halo on his exceptionally good-looking face.

After an unknown amount of time, Abigail, who was lying on the couch, finally opened her eyes.

Her almond-shaped eyes were still drowsy, with a thin layer of mist, making her look soft and endearing.

Gregory closed his laptop, stood up, and walked over. "Awake?"

Abigail rubbed her eyes and stretched lazily. "What time is it?"

Gregory glanced down and replied, "It's ten o'clock at night, not too late. Are you hungry? I'll take you to get something to eat."

Abigail slowly sat up, and hearing him say that, she realized she was indeed a bit hungry.

So she quickly agreed.

At this hour, many places were already closed. Sitting in the car, Abigail suddenly pointed to the street and suggested, "Mr. White, how about we eat there?"

Gregory looked in the direction she was pointing and couldn't help but frown. "That place looks unsanitary. Let's choose another one."

Abigail suddenly got angry and insisted, "But I really want to eat there! If you don't want to, I'll go by myself!"

Gregory sighed, "Wait, I'll find a place to park."

He really couldn't say no to her.

Seeing Gregory agree, a sly smile instantly appeared on Abigail's face, and she sweetly said, "I knew you are the best to me!"

Her voice was sweet, with a hint of coquettishness, making it irresistibly soft.

Gregory felt a warmth in his heart and gave her a gentle glance, saying, "Just this once."
