Chapter 214 Lips Sealed

Henry gave a little smirk and motioned for her to get in.

Tricia had no choice but to hop into his car.

Half an hour later, they pulled up in front of Tricia's apartment. She glanced at Henry and said, "Thanks for the help today, Mr. Clark."

Henry tapped the steering wheel lightly and raised an eyebrow. "So, how are you gonna thank me?"

Tricia was caught off guard and mumbled, "I'll treat you to dinner sometime, but nothing fancy, okay?"

Even though she had a job now, she still had rent to pay!

Henry didn't seem to mind and nodded. "Sounds good. Get some rest; it's late."

Tricia nodded, unbuckled her seatbelt, and got out of the car.

Back in her apartment, Tricia let out a deep breath. For some reason, being alone with Henry always made her nervous.

'What am I thinking? Someone like Henry, with his background and status, would never be interested in me,' she thought, patting her warm cheeks. She shook her head and headed for a shower.

Meanwhile, Gregory was driving Abigail home.

Ralph had left the lights on for them. Hearing the car pull up, he rushed out to greet them. "Mr. and Mrs. White, you're back! You must be exhausted. I had the kitchen prepare some food for you. Want to eat something?"

"Sure, I'm actually starving!" Abigail said with a smile.

Ralph's face lit up with a loving smile. "Alright, I'll bring it out right away."

Abigail looked at Gregory and said, "Let's go change first."

Gregory smiled and held out his hand to her.

Abigail smiled helplessly and placed her hand in his, holding it tightly.

Even though she felt happy inside, she pretended to be annoyed. "Mr. White, you're so clingy. We're home, and you still want to hold hands."

Gregory chuckled, "Yeah, I wish I could be with you all the time." He thought inside, 'Preferably never apart.'

Abigail's eyes sparkled with laughter, her almond eyes twinkling like stars.

After dinner, Gregory pulled Abigail back to their room. As soon as the door closed, he wrapped his strong arms around her waist, pressing her against the door.

Then, he kissed her with an overwhelming force and dominance.

Abigail didn't have time to react and could only silently endure it.

Gradually, she surrendered, being led step by step by Gregory.

Suddenly, she felt a chill. Looking down, she realized her expensive custom evening dress had been torn apart.

She opened her mouth to say something, but Gregory sealed her lips with another kiss.

All her words were swallowed back.

That night, it seemed Gregory had been drinking, and the alcohol made him lose control.

From the doorway to the sofa, then to the bathroom, and finally the bed.

Abigail felt like she was being tossed around in a stormy sea, until she was too tired to move and fell into a deep sleep.

After she fell asleep, Gregory gently kissed her forehead with endless tenderness. "Goodnight, my darling."

The next morning, Abigail overslept and didn't wake up until after ten.

As soon as she moved, she felt like her bones were about to fall apart and couldn't help but gasp.

Gregory, fresh from washing up, walked over to the bed and gently kissed her forehead.

Abigail glared at him, annoyed. "This is all your fault! I overslept!"

Gregory chuckled and took the clothes from her hands, helping her get dressed while speaking softly, "Alright, it's my fault, my dear. Are you still sore?"

Abigail's face turned red, and her ears burned. "My dear." No one had ever called her that before.

Gregory always had a way of making her forgive him with just one sentence!

Abigail pouted slightly and mumbled, "Fine, I'll forgive you for now."

Seeing her delicate expression, Gregory couldn't help but laugh.

Abigail was still so soft-hearted, making him want to cherish and protect her.

Gregory lowered his head and gently kissed her soft lips. The kiss held no desire but was filled with sincerity and seriousness. "Abigail, I love you."

Abigail didn't expect to be confessed to so early in the morning, but her heart felt as sweet as if it were wrapped in honey.

She wrapped her arms around Gregory's neck and responded to his kiss. "Me too."

Thanks to Gregory, Abigail didn't go to the office all day.

However, he was considerate and didn't cling to her, fearing she would be too tired. He asked her to rest at home for the day.

Abigail had no choice but to have Susan bring the documents to Maple Residence.

It was Susan's first time at Maple Residence, and she was shocked by the luxurious decor and furnishings.

Although she knew the White family was wealthy, seeing it in person was truly astonishing.

While she was in a daze, a deep, mature male voice suddenly sounded behind her, "Ms. Campbell? Please follow me; Mrs. White is waiting for you in the study."

Susan turned around and saw a middle-aged man who looked to be in his forties.

The man introduced himself, "I'm the butler here. You can call me Ralph."

"Hello, Ralph." Susan greeted politely, feeling a bit dizzy as she was led to the study.

Abigail was lounging on the sofa watching TV. Hearing the knock on the door, she quickly set her laptop aside. "Come in."

As soon as she spoke, the door was pushed open from the outside.

Ralph said, "Mrs. White, Ms. Campbell is here."

"Thank you, Ralph." Abigail smiled and waved at Susan.

Susan quickly stepped forward, handed over the documents, and then stood straight, feeling a bit at a loss.

Abigail took the documents and started flipping through them, saying, "You don't have to be so formal. Have a seat."

Susan quickly waved her hand. "No need, I have other work to do at the office, so I'll head back."

Seeing Susan so nervous, Abigail found it amusing but didn't insist.

After Susan left, Abigail worked on the documents alone in the study. When she got tired, she took a break. Ralph would occasionally bring her fruit and small cakes, making her feel very comfortable.

The only downside was that a video of the incident at the party last night had been posted online.

It was a specially edited version that didn't mention the middle-aged man trying to harass Tricia, only showing Gregory and Henry abusing their power.

Seeing the comments below, Abigail was furious.

'These people don't even know the truth. What right do they have to talk nonsense?' Abigail thought to herself. She was fuming!
