Chapter 462 Break His Other Leg
Abigail nodded and picked up her phone to call Caius.
After hearing the truth, Caius didn't seem surprised at all. He was silent for about half a minute before he said, "Alright, got it. I'll handle Emrys, and as for Tom, let Gregory take care of it."
This matter should have been resolved a long time ago.
Although he had long known that it was Emrys who had instigated Cassian to harm Darwin, he hadn't taken action because of Darwin's last wish.
He didn't expect Emrys to push his luck.
It seemed he could no longer tolerate it, lest Emrys forget who he was dealing with.
Over in Aramore, Gregory wasted no time and immediately called Leo, instructing him to bring Tom back to Aramore.
Considering the potential for a bloody scene, Gregory didn't let Abigail accompany him when he went to see Tom.
He drove alone to a villa in the suburbs and walked inside.
Leo and a few of his men were waiting in the villa, holding Tom down on the ground. No matter how much he struggled, he couldn't break free.
Seeing Gregory enter, Tom struggled even more fiercely. "What are you doing? Didn't we agree to stay out of each other's way from now on?"
In Sylvanor, Gregory had crippled one of Tom's legs in his villa, and the previous matters were written off, settling their scores.
He didn't expect Tom to go back on his word just a few days later!
Tom gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with hatred as he looked at Gregory.
Gregory squatted down, patted Tom's face, and said coldly, "I did say that, but the premise was that you would behave and not scheme behind my back."
Facing Gregory's deep eyes, Tom shivered for some reason.
He nervously swallowed and denied. "I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't done anything recently."
Before he finished speaking, he suddenly heard a sneer. "Haven't done anything?"
The tone was light and calm, yet it carried an indescribable sense of oppression.
Tom's breath hitched, his eyes flickered, but he still denied. "Yep. Think what you want."
Gregory sneered, took out a stack of photos, and threw them in front of Tom. "Is this what you call 'haven't done anything'?"
Seeing the contents of the photos, Tom's pupils suddenly contracted, and he took two steps back in panic. "How did you find out?"
He had clearly destroyed all the surveillance in the mental hospital at the time. How could there still be evidence?
Gregory didn't say anything. It was all thanks to the two bodyguards he had sent to monitor David's movements when he was sent to the mental hospital.
If they hadn't taken the photos in time, Tom might have really gotten away with it.
What a pity.
Tom stared in disbelief. "Impossible, this is impossible!"
How could this be?
Why did this happen!
Gregory looked at him coldly, his deep voice filled with indifference. "Do you have anything else to say now?"
Tom's lips trembled, and he fell silent.
At this point, everything he had done was exposed. What else could he say?
He looked at Gregory, his eyes filled with hatred. "Gregory, sometimes I really envy you, envy you to the point of madness. This world is so unfair!"
Gregory said expressionlessly, "Envy is not a reason to hurt others. Besides, even without these identities, I could still easily crush you with my own abilities."
Tom gritted his teeth, his face gradually twisted, and he struggled desperately. "I don't believe it! If you walked in my shoes, you would understand how I feel right now."
From birth, Tom's life had been a tragedy, marked by his mother's high expectations, which stemmed not from love but from a desire to compete for favor.
So when George abandoned them, he lost all his value.
His mother transferred all her hatred onto him, subjecting him to constant humiliation, beatings, and abuse. Growing up in such an environment, Tom's heart had long been twisted.
Gregory shook his head and instructed Leo, "Just call the police. There's nothing more to say."
Leo nodded, took out his phone to call the police, but the next second, Gregory said, "Wait a minute."
Tom, who was pinned to the ground and unable to struggle, raised his head, a glimmer of hope rising in his heart.
But Gregory's next words sent him plummeting into despair.
Gregory said, "Sending him to prison is too easy. Break his other leg too. Since he can't behave, there's no need to keep him around."
After speaking, Gregory ignored Tom's struggles and curses and turned to leave. As he stepped out of the villa, he heard heart-wrenching cries for help behind him but walked away without a change in expression.
Soon, the news of Tom being sent to the police station spread quickly, and even David wasn't spared.
Previously, David had always used the excuse of a heart condition to apply for medical parole.
But this time, not only did he conspire with Tom to frame Michelle and Abigail, but he also engaged in extortion.
Shortly after the video was released, Abigail received a call from David, threatening that if she wanted him to keep quiet, she had to give him a billion dollars.
Abigail immediately called the police, using the phone recording as evidence to confirm David had been faking his insanity. The police then took him away.
The news quickly spread online, causing an uproar. No one had expected that the previous reports were deliberately released to extort, and the public had been manipulated to stir up opinion. Realizing this, netizens became furious and started cursing David and Tom.
