Chapter 172 This is My Boyfriend
Just then, a playful voice piped up from behind, "Oh, did we crash the party? Should we come back later?"
Gregory and Abigail spun around to see a red Lamborghini parked by the curb. Henry was lounging in the driver's seat, one hand on the wheel, the other propping up his chin.
He was staring right at them, clearly enjoying the scene.
In the passenger seat, Quinn kept his usual poker face, though there was a slight smirk if you looked close enough.
Abigail's cheeks turned bright red, and she quickly shoved Gregory away.
She covered her face, wishing she could disappear into the ground.
'When did these two show up? How did I not notice them?' Abigail wondered.
Seeing her embarrassment, Henry chimed in, "You were so into that kiss, I regret not pulling out my phone to capture it."
Gregory shot him a glare, feeling a bit ticked off. "If you're so bored, I can find something for you to do right now!"
Henry, meeting Gregory's icy stare, scratched his nose and laughed awkwardly. "Hey, Gregory, chill. I was just messing around. Don't take it to heart!"
If he had actually taken a photo, Gregory might've decked him.
Abigail, initially mortified, found Henry's expression pretty funny.
After a good laugh, Henry said, "Abigail, we heard about your big day. Shouldn't you treat us to a meal to celebrate?"
Abigail glanced at Gregory and nodded. "Sure, I'm starving too. Let's hit up the fanciest restaurant in Aramore. My treat, order whatever you want."
Gregory frowned a bit, not thrilled about losing their alone time. But Abigail insisted, so he went along with it.
On the way, Abigail texted Tricia the restaurant address, asking if she was free to join them for dinner.
Almost immediately, Tricia called. "Abigail, did you hit the jackpot? That's the priciest place in Aramore. I never thought I'd eat there."
Abigail laughed. "Are you coming? Gregory and his buddies are here too."
Tricia replied, "Can't miss this chance. Mind if I bring someone along?"
Abigail was curious but agreed.
About ten minutes later, they pulled up to a swanky restaurant.
As they got out, a valet in uniform came over to park their car.
Inside, a waiter handed them menus and poured water for everyone.
Gregory passed the menu to Abigail. "Pick what you want."
Abigail browsed through the menu, picked a few favorites, and let the others choose.
Henry said, "Abigail, there's a video of you making the rounds online."
"What video?" Abigail asked, confused.
Henry quickly pulled out his phone and showed her.
There were two videos: one from two years ago at a school assembly where Abigail gave a speech, and the other was a recent confrontation with Jessica in the classroom.
Henry sighed, "Abigail, you usually come off so gentle, but you really stepped up when it counted."
He and Quinn always knew Gregory had a thing for Abigail, but to them, she was just a pretty face without much else going on.
Their most vivid memory of her was always hanging around Roman.
But now, they had to admit Gregory had good taste.
After giving her props, Henry nudged Quinn. "Don't you think so, Quinn?"
Quinn glanced at Abigail and gave a slight nod.
Henry looked annoyed. "Say something, man."
"Yeah," Quinn replied.
'Forget it. Talking to this guy is like talking to a wall!' Henry thought.
Just then, there was a soft knock on the door.
Everyone turned to see the door slowly open a crack, and then Tricia peeked her head in.
Seeing Abigail, her eyes lit up, and she pushed the door open, rushing toward her. "Abigail, I missed you so much!"
Abigail, hugged by her, couldn't help but laugh. "I missed you too. We've been waiting for you. Come have a seat."
Tricia noticed everyone staring at her and felt a bit embarrassed.
She awkwardly smiled, straightened her clothes, and said, "Hi, I'm Tricia, Abigail's good friend."
Seeing her introduce herself again, Abigail felt even more helpless. "Haven't you met them before?"
Tricia blinked and lowered her voice. "How could it be the same? Considering their status, it would be weird if they remembered me. I just wanted to avoid any awkwardness."
Hearing this, Henry couldn't help but tease, "You're Abigail's good friend. How could we forget you!"
Quinn nodded slightly. "Right."
His words were brief but sincere.
A warm feeling passed through Tricia's heart.
Although she had only met them twice, these guys never looked down on her because of her background. Instead, they treated her with respect.
Abigail gently patted Tricia's shoulder and looked behind her. "Is this the school doctor?"
Reminded by her, Tricia finally remembered she had brought someone else.
Her cheeks flushed slightly as she introduced, holding the man's arm, "Oh, I forgot to introduce you. This is my boyfriend, Tom White."
Upon hearing the man's name, Henry and Quinn's expressions changed, and they instinctively looked at Gregory.
Gregory remained expressionless, his deep eyes fixed on Tom.
Tom was also looking at him, their gazes meeting in silent confrontation.
Abigail looked at Tom in surprise and quietly pulled Tricia aside. "Tricia, when did you two get together? Why didn't you mention it before?"
Tricia's blush hadn't faded, and she said shyly, "I didn't mean to keep it from you. We just made it official yesterday."
Abigail was even more surprised.
Although she rarely spent time on campus, she had heard some rumors.
Tom, being young and handsome, attracted many girls.
Since he started working at Aramore University, he was confessed to almost daily, and the once quiet school clinic had become much busier.
But it was said that Tom had a very aloof personality, always gentle yet distant with everyone.
She never expected Tricia to succeed in getting together with him.
