Chapter 403 Jessica Is Not His Biological Daughter

However, some words could only be thought in the heart because David could no longer speak.

Caius, dressed in a black suit and trench coat, looked tall and imposing, exuding an aura of authority.

His cold, sharp eyes emitted a hint of indifference, a stark contrast to his usual steadiness and the gentle, harmless demeanor he showed in front of Michelle. "Mr. Martin, we meet again."

He casually pulled a chair to the bedside and sat down, crossing his legs in a relaxed manner that still commanded respect.

David shrank his shoulders violently, his eyes gradually filling with terror.

"You want to ask why I'm here?" Caius looked at him with a heavy gaze, his thin lips slightly curved. "Of course, I'm here to trouble you."

David's hands, hidden under the covers, slowly clenched, and his whole body tensed up involuntarily.

Caius raised his hand and forcefully patted David's shoulder, smiling as he spoke, "Don't be nervous. Do you like the gift I sent you?"

David's pupils contracted. The person who made him mute was actually Caius!

Seeing the drastic change in David's expression, Caius nodded in satisfaction. "You're not entirely stupid. I heard you're investigating Michelle? You know, investigating my woman comes with a price."

David shook his head desperately, looking at Caius as if he were a demon from hell, filled with terror and fear.

He was wrong.

[Where did you take Jessica?] David frantically gestured with his hands, his heart full of worry.

He had seen Caius's methods when he was young.

This man was insane and reckless.

Caius waved his hand behind him. "Are you talking about her?"

David turned his head and saw two tall bodyguards escorting Jessica inside.

Jessica, with red-rimmed eyes, looked at him pitifully. "Dad, save me!"

Despite the pain, David crawled to Caius, begging for Jessica's life. She was his everything.

Suddenly, applause rang out.

Caius laughed heartily. "You two really have a good relationship, David. Do you know where I caught her?"

David looked confused and slowly raised his head, only to hear Caius say, "When I caught her, she was on a date with a man at the Aerilon Club."

"No, that's impossible!" David shook his head vigorously, refusing to believe that his pure and kind daughter would do such a shameful thing.

Caius, enjoying his expression, felt it wasn't enough and took out his phone to play a video.

In the video, Jessica was wearing sexy and revealing clothes, dancing in the club, deliberately rubbing her ample chest against the men around her, with heavy makeup and a dazed look in her eyes.

She was completely different from the pure image she had in front of him.

David felt his understanding of Jessica was about to be completely overturned.

Caius, satisfied, took out a document and handed it to him. "Can't handle it already? Your mental endurance is really low."

David suppressed his thoughts and opened the document.

When he saw the contents, his eyes widened, and he froze in place.

In the room, Jessica didn't know what was written in the document. She looked at David helplessly, dread washing over her as his eyes reddened. Stifling her curiosity, she met Caius's mocking gaze. With a cold, indifferent look, he turned and walked away.

The bodyguards gradually withdrew, and the hands restraining Jessica slowly loosened.

As soon as she was free, Jessica quickly got up from the ground and rushed over to ask, "Dad, what did Caius show you?"

As soon as she finished speaking, David went mad and seized her neck. Suffocating pain surged through her throat. Jessica's eyes widened in shock as she struggled to pry his hands away. "Dad!"

David came to his senses and slapped Jessica hard, screaming and pointing to the door, telling her to get out.

Jessica, not knowing what had happened, looked down and saw that the document was a "paternity test report."

Her breath hitched, and she broke out in a cold sweat. "Dad, let me explain. This isn't true. It can't be true. How could I not be your daughter?"

David, however, stared at her, his eyes full of disappointment.

So she had known all along?

No wonder Jessica hadn't visited him in the hospital for a long time and was impatient even on the phone.

He had thought she was just too busy to come.

But now he realized it was his own wishful thinking. Jessica no longer considered him her father.

Jessica was thrown to the ground, gasping in pain, and gradually lost her patience.

She struggled to stand up, giving up on explaining. "Yes, the document is real. I'm not your biological daughter. David, what right do you have to treat me like this?"

David said nothing, staring blankly at the woman in front of him.

The Jessica he remembered was obedient, gentle, and lovely, so he had always been willing to spoil her.

And knowing that Abigail wasn't his biological child, he had given all his fatherly love to Jessica.

Kayla's betrayal left David feeling utterly deceived. Fueled by rage, he tore off the monitor, sprang from the bed, and unleashed his fury on Jessica. Overwhelmed, she crumpled to the ground, pleading for mercy and crying for help.

The commotion attracted doctors and nurses.

A group of people restrained David, and Jessica was finally rescued.

David, however, was still not satisfied, struggling desperately, his eyes filled with overwhelming hatred as he looked at Jessica.

Jessica panted heavily, and once she calmed down and confirmed there was no danger, she couldn't help but sneer. "David, you actually dared to hit me! You must be very angry now, right? Your life is a joke. First, your ex-wife slept with someone else, and now Kayla cheated on you."

David was so provoked by these words that he wanted to tear Jessica apart.

Jessica, as if she hadn't seen it, continued to taunt, "Oh, by the way, Kayla has found a new man and is living happily. Maybe this is the punishment you deserve. The rest of your life is destined to be spent in this cold place. As for the money, once it enters my account, it's mine."

With that, she left without looking back.
