Chapter 75 Threatening with Death

Elaine wanted to say something, but Gregory's cold stare shut her up.

Fuming, she shot a glare at Abigail. Abigail's arrival had messed up all their plans.

Elaine quickly looked away and led Gregory and Abigail upstairs, worried about Olivia. This wasn't how things were supposed to go.

Olivia had told her to call Gregory and say she was missing, to trick him into coming over. But Gregory was tougher than she thought. Even after begging, he wouldn't budge.

Elaine sighed. In the elevator, she watched the numbers change and silently prayed. Her brother and sister-in-law were gone, and Olivia was all she had left. If something happened to Olivia, she couldn't face her brother.

On the rooftop, Olivia stood at the edge, too scared to look down. Her heart raced, and her teeth chattered, but she didn't turn back.

After being hospitalized, she realized Gregory hadn't noticed her because of her own mistakes. She wanted to show him how much she cared and loved him. Men, she thought, liked women who'd do anything for them. Even if they got married, she could still be powerful.

Gregory, with his power and influence, wouldn't stick with just one woman, Abigail, forever. Even if Olivia he couldn't marry into the White family, staying by Gregory's side would eventually get her the money and status she wanted. She was sure of it.

The more she thought about it, the happier she felt, and a smile crept onto her face. She ignored the police's attempts to talk her down because she never really intended to jump.

It wasn't until she heard Elaine's tearful voice that she opened her eyes. "Olivia, don't do it. Gregory's here."

A triumphant smile appeared on Olivia's lips as she turned around. "Gregory, you're here."

She thought her plan was working, but then she saw Abigail. Her smile froze, and surprise flashed in her eyes. "Why are you here?"

Abigail shot back, "Why? Can't I be here?"

Olivia's eyes showed a flicker of resentment, but she quickly forced a smile. "No."

The police had spent over twenty minutes trying to talk Olivia down, but she hadn't budged. Whenever they got close, she threatened to jump, so no one dared to move.

But as soon as Gregory and Abigail showed up, Olivia's demeanor changed. Her emotions weren't as intense, and the police slowly approached while she was distracted.

Tears welled up in Olivia's eyes as she looked at Gregory. "Gregory, what did I do wrong? Why did you abandon me?"

Olivia raised her voice, choking with accusation as she looked at Gregory.

Downstairs, people were recording the scene with their phones. Some influencers even started live streaming, and her words were caught on video.

Many online viewers, unaware of the full story, believed Olivia had been abandoned by a jerk.

Gregory frowned, his eyes cold. "Abandon? I never promised you anything, and you're not my wife."

"Gregory, from the first time I saw you, I knew I wanted to marry you. Now you've married another woman. Can you divorce her? If you don't agree, I'll jump!"

Gregory's voice was indifferent. "Just because you want to marry me, does that mean I have to marry you?"

He knew Olivia wanted to marry into the White family but had ignored it since she hadn't done anything too extreme. But now, she was using suicide to threaten him.

Olivia didn't expect Gregory to be so heartless. Even when she threatened him with her life, he wasn't moved. She blamed everything on Abigail, wondering what spell Abigail had cast on Gregory to make him so devoted.

She looked pitifully at Abigail, her eyes pleading. "Ms. Martin, I really can't live without Gregory. Please give him back to me."

Abigail was stunned. Olivia, with her higher education, was actually asking her to give up her husband.

She instinctively looked at Gregory, who was also looking at her, waiting for her response.

Abigail tightened her grip on Gregory's hand and said firmly, "Ms. Parker, I'm sorry, but my husband and I have a very good relationship and have no intention of giving him to anyone else."

She continued, "Besides, he's an adult with his own thoughts and the right to choose."

To her, marriage was between two people. Even if they divorced, it would be because one of them found someone else, not because of some "giving away."

Olivia opened her mouth but didn't know what to say.

At that moment, the police were almost within a step of Olivia. But Olivia suddenly moved, glaring at Abigail and lunging at her. "Abigail, I'll fight you! If it weren't for you, I'd be Mrs. White!"

Blinded by anger, Olivia forgot she was on the rooftop. The moment she stepped out, she felt a sense of weightlessness and screamed. The crowd below gasped.

Elaine's heart almost stopped.

Just when Olivia thought she was going to die, a quick-witted police officer pulled her back. Both Olivia and the officer fell onto the cold concrete of the rooftop.

Doctors nearby rushed over to check for injuries.

Outside the crowd, Abigail stood there in a daze, her legs trembling. She slowly opened her mouth, her voice trembling. "Mr. White."

Gregory extended his arm, pulling her into his embrace, and whispered in her ear, "I'm here. Don't be afraid. It's over."
