Chapter 326 Henry's Birthday Party
After Leo left, the office was instantly left with only Roman and Gregory.
Roman's eyes were red, staring intently at Gregory.
Facing his questioning and anger, Gregory appeared very calm.
He interlaced his fingers, resting his hands casually on the table, with no fluctuation in his tone. "Who told you that your mother's disappearance is related to me?"
Roman sneered. "Do I need someone to tell me? A few days ago, my mom came to see you, and the entire White Group knows about it. Since then, my mom hasn't returned home."
Gregory nodded slightly. "I did see your mother, but you should ask your father about this, not me."
After saying that, he continued to work.
Roman, unable to vent his pent-up anger, felt like he was punching cotton, and left the office in a rage.
Watching him leave, Gregory shook his head helplessly and continued to handle the documents.
Time quickly arrived at Henry's birthday.
Henry had always been flamboyant, never knowing how to be low-key and restrained.
Especially after borrowing Gregory's yacht, he couldn't wait to invite everyone over to show off.
To attend the birthday party, Abigail set aside an entire day.
Gregory took Abigail to get her hair and makeup done and changed into a new dress.
A light blue evening gown perfectly outlined Abigail's figure.
Paired with exquisite makeup, she stood there like she was glowing.
When Abigail came out after changing, she met Gregory's amazed gaze.
She asked nervously, "Do I look good?"
Gregory's eyes were locked on her, unwilling to look away. His gaze was intense, full of burning desire, as if he could melt her with just a look. "Stunning," he replied.
Under his intense gaze, a blush slowly crept up Abigail's cheeks. "Really? You're not just flattering me?" she asked uncertainly.
Gregory stood up from the sofa, walked slowly to Abigail, and pulled her into his arms.
Caught off guard, Abigail fell directly into Gregory's embrace, her body tightly pressed against his chest.
Even through a shirt, Abigail could clearly feel how strong his body was.
The blush on her cheeks quickly spread to her ears, and Abigail felt her heart was about to jump out.
Gregory naturally took in all her reactions.
He lowered his head, his Adam's apple hidden under his collar, and his hoarse voice carried an indescribable magnetism. "You're so beautiful, I want to keep you all to myself so no one else can see."
Saying that, he directly kissed Abigail's lips.
His kiss was very gentle, his soft lips carrying a slight coolness, lightly moving on her lips.
Yet he was also assertive, unwilling to retreat even a bit, slowly prying open her teeth, making her gradually sink into it.
After an unknown amount of time, the air in Abigail's body was gradually taken away, and her breathing became labored.
She reached out and pushed Gregory's chest, letting out a muffled sound.
Only then did Gregory reluctantly let her go.
"Now you know how tempting you are to me, right?" he asked.
Abigail shyly glared at him, wanting to say something, but her lips and tongue felt a tingling numbness.
She angrily stepped on Gregory's foot, causing him to laugh heartily.
When the two arrived, the party had already started.
The luxurious yacht was crowded with people, and those who came today were all the most prominent figures in Aramore.
As soon as Abigail and Gregory appeared, they immediately attracted everyone's attention.
Standing together, they looked stunning and very well-matched, with eyes full of love for each other.
Many people present silently marveled, remembering how they used to mock Gregory for marrying Abigail.
On one hand, it was because Abigail was previously Roman's fiancée, on the other hand, they felt that Abigail's status and position were not worthy of Gregory.
Some even speculated that Abigail might have used some means to get Gregory.
But with DM's current reputation, no one dared to underestimate Abigail's capabilities.
Most importantly, Gregory's gaze seemed captivated by her. Did that look like someone being manipulated?
Henry was the first to come over, smiling and greeting, "Gregory, Abigail, you finally made it. We've been waiting for you!"
Abigail looked around curiously and asked, "Where's Tricia? I haven't seen her."
Henry replied, "She went to the restroom. She'll be back soon. Abigail, you stay here and have fun. I'll take Gregory to meet some clients."
Abigail smiled and nodded. "Okay."
Gregory seemed a bit dissatisfied with her indifferent attitude and immediately lowered his head to kiss her on the corner of her lips. "I'll be back soon," he said.
This kiss not only shocked Abigail but also surprised many people who had been watching them.
Noticing so many eyes on her, Abigail couldn't help but feel shy. She glared at Gregory and replied, "Got it!"
Gregory smiled contentedly and gently ruffled her hair.
This time, he was careful not to use too much force. After spending over an hour on her hairstyle, he knew that if he messed it up, Abigail would be upset again.
After Gregory left, Abigail took a glass of wine from a waiter and politely greeted familiar people around her.
Since taking over DM, her social frequency had increased, and she had become more adept at handling such occasions.
"Mrs. Martin, long time no see." A familiar voice came from behind, and Abigail turned to see Circe smiling as she approached.
Abigail smiled and nodded. "Ms. Fairchild, long time no see."
Circe took a sip of her wine and said, "I haven't had a chance to congratulate you, Mrs. Martin. I watched the fashion show, and it was very successful."
"Thank you," she replied.
Facing Circe, Abigail always maintained a smile. But those who were perceptive could detect a hint of distance behind that smile.
Circe naturally noticed it too.
She silently sighed in her heart. When DM was in crisis, she decisively abandoned the collaboration, which now seemed like a huge mistake.
Fortunately, Abigail hadn't completely cut off contact with her.
The two companies had maintained a good cooperative relationship. At least things hadn't turned out too badly.
After chatting with Abigail for a few moments, Circe excused herself.
She knew that Abigail not refusing to collaborate with Zenith Innovations Group was alreadyshowing her respect.
After Circe left, Tricia happened to come out of the restroom.
She quickly lifted her dress and walked over to Abigail. "Abigail, I'm here."
Abigail turned her head and was immediately stunned by Tricia's appearance.
Tricia was wearing a beautifully crafted custom strapless evening gown, looking exceptionally stunning.
Abigail looked at her suspiciously, her eyes filled with curiosity and inquiry.
Tricia felt a bit uncomfortable under her gaze. She asked, "What's wrong? Is there something off?"
Abigail said, "This dress costs millions of dollars. Be honest, who gave it to you? Are there any new developments in your love life?"
Tricia blinked blankly and said, "What? That expensive? Henry said he just bought it casually."
Halfway through her sentence, she suddenly realized she had let something slip and quickly covered her mouth, looking guilty.
