Chapter 16 I Got Married

After thinking it over, Abigail went to find Ralph to ask for Gregory's contact information.

It wasn't normal for Abigail not to have Gregory's contact information, considering that they were already married.

Even though Abigail and Gregory's marriage was fake, she still wanted to have a good relationship with him.

When Ralph heard Abigail's request, he was surprised.

Ralph first added Abigail on WhatsApp and then gave her Gregory's contact information.

Abigail's phone rang, and she received a message. When she opened Gregory's Instagram profile, she found that it was empty.

Gregory's profile picture was a solid black color with no colors or patterns.

Gregory had never posted on Instagram.

This suited Gregory's cold style.

Abigail clicked on the follow button and messaged Gregory, "Gregory, it's Abigail Martin."

Abigail felt like her words seemed cold, so she added a cute emoji.

After sending the message, Abigail got a response a long time ago.

Holding her phone, Abigail hesitated whether to send another message to Gregory.

But Abigail quickly gave up on the idea because she thought that Gregory, as the CEO of a multinational company, must be busy with work.

Abigail believed that she shouldn't bother Gregory over such a small thing.

If Abigail sent several consecutive messages to Gregory, he might think she was being too eager.

So, Abigail decisively turned off her phone and threw it onto the bed before starting to organize her jewelry.

In order to make it convenient for Abigail to place her things, Gregory specifically instructed Ralph to clean up the room.

Half of the space in the dressing room, which originally belonged to Gregory alone, was now occupied by her things.

Ralph specifically made space for Abigail to display her various pieces of jewelry.

After organizing everything, Abigail nodded in satisfaction and had a strangely sweet feeling.

This was the first time Abigail shared the same dressing room with someone else.

However, if Gregory were the person she was spending the rest of her life with, Abigail wouldn't find it too difficult to accept.

After all, Gregory was handsome and wealthy.

The most important thing was that Gregory and Abigail were in a business partnership with no emotional involvement. Such marriages often proved to be the most stable.
Even if Gregory were to have a favorite woman or a mistress in the future, Abigail could leave at any time.

Abigail would also be entitled to half of Gregory's assets.

Abigail thought Gregory was great. Even though they had a business relationship, Gregory provided her with many material guarantees.

In exchange, Abigail promised to do her best to become a competent wife in the future.

Just then, Abigail's phone vibrated. It was a notification sound for a message.

Abigail thought it might be a friend request accepted by Gregory. However, it was Tricia calling her.

"Abigail, we didn't finish talking last night because you got drunk. Come out. I'm waiting for you at the Parkway Building."

Abigail had many questions for Tricia, so she agreed directly.

Last night, Abigail got drunk and forgot many things.

She only remembered that she was originally drinking with Tricia. Abigail forgot why Gregory knew which bar she was in and when he took her home.

Entering the dressing room, Abigail chose a simple and comfortable outfit and said goodbye to Ralph before leaving.

At the White Group, Gregory was flipping through documents while listening to the project manager's report on the work.

Gregory didn't say anything, but his powerful and cold vibe was intimidating.

The project manager felt something strange as he reported while secretly observing Gregory's expressions.

Generally speaking, his report did not meet Gregory's requirements because several areas needed improvement.

He made this report by working overnight last night, so he didn't have time to make any changes.

Therefore, the project manager was prepared to be scolded before coming here.

Since entering the CEO's office, the project manager had been in a state of panic because he feared that Gregory would scold him or even fire him directly.

The more the project manager thought about it, the more nervous he became.

The more nervous a person becomes, the easier it is for them to make mistakes.

At first, the project manager was still fine, but he gradually started to stutter uncontrollably.

The project manager anxiously clenched his fists and spoke quieter and quieter. In the end, he didn't dare to make any sound.

He instantly fell into despair and lowered his head even more because he didn't dare to look into Gregory's eyes.

However, Gregory glanced at him and said coldly and with a furrowed brow, "Not acceptable. Go back and redo it."

The project manager nodded in a panic and waited for Gregory to continue speaking.

After about half a minute, Gregory still didn't say anything.

The project manager quietly lifted his head and saw that Gregory had already refocused on his work.

Perhaps sensing the project manager's glance, Gregory looked up and asked with sharp eyes, "What? Any questions?"
Gregory watched as the project director hurriedly left, clutching his report. He couldn't help but wonder if he looked intimidating. Why else would the employees be so scared of him? But Gregory was in a good mood today and didn't feel like reprimanding them, so he continued to work on the documents.

The White Group was expanding into a new field, and Gregory had a lot on his plate. He was currently looking for companies to collaborate with, and many people reached out to him after hearing the news. Gregory rejected countless invitations for dinner and offered to send women his way.

He rarely attended these types of banquets because he felt they were a waste of time. He didn't want to be surrounded by people flattering him while he was trying to eat, and it became tiresome after a while.

Everyone in the business circle knew that Gregory stayed away from women. Years ago, someone had arranged for a naked woman to be in Gregory's bed and even drugged him. But even under the influence, Gregory didn't touch her and immediately ordered his subordinates to throw her out. Soon after, that company went bankrupt.

Gregory despised being set up more than anything in his life. Anyone who dared to set him up had to pay the price. Since then, hardly anyone has had the audacity to try to harm Gregory, mainly because of his influence. The White Group was a leading company in terms of both status and wealth in the country. They had many projects in cooperation with the government, which further expanded their power.

At that moment, Leo knocked on the door and entered, handing a document to Gregory. "Mr. White, this is the material you asked me to prepare." Gregory didn't look up but responded with a grunt. He then gestured for Leo to leave first.
