Chapter 335 Morning Sickness

Olivia struggled to open her eyes, Gregory's blurry figure growing more distant until it finally disappeared.

Her tears fell suddenly, her eyes brimming with despair and pain. Regret consumed her as she realized her mistake. She vowed never to repeat it, but the realization came too late.

Gregory was gone, and Leo, annoyed by Olivia's noise, directly gagged her.

Soon, the police confirmed the authenticity of the evidence and directly locked Olivia up.

Although she didn't directly cause any casualties, Olivia was suspected of hiring a hitman, which was enough to keep her locked up for two years.

When Abigail learned about this, it was already two days later.

Looking at the news about Olivia on her phone, Abigail frowned slightly. "Why does Olivia want me dead so badly?"

From beginning to end, she never felt that she had any deep enmity with Olivia.

Leo thought for a moment and said, "Maybe it's because Mr. White sent her to the countryside last time, and she held a grudge?"

Gregory's face was stern as he said coldly, "Olivia always likes to blame her miserable experiences on others. If she hadn't provoked you in the first place, how could I have acted against her?"

Now he only felt that just sending Olivia to the countryside was too light a punishment.

Dealing with individuals like her may necessitate a firm hand to prevent potential future complications.

Abigail pressed her lips together and nodded lightly.

This car accident also made her reflect seriously. She had never been ruthless to those who had hurt her before.

Now it seemed that she still understood too little about human nature. Sometimes, being soft-hearted only harms oneself and those around you.

Seeing Abigail frowning and lost in thought, Gregory swiftly pulled her into his embrace. "Hey, stop stressing over all this. The most important thing now is to take care of your health. Even if you can't do it for yourself, do it for the baby you're carrying."

Hearing Gregory's words, Abigail quickly gathered her thoughts.

Oh right, she was pregnant now!

Thinking about the little life growing inside her, Abigail couldn't help but smile.

She leaned against Gregory's chest, her slender hand gently stroking her flat belly. "Honey, we have a baby!"

'This is the fruit of our love, the baby that connects our bloodlines,' Abigail thought.

When she first heard the news, she was so happy and excited.

"Yes." Gregory looked down at her, his deep eyes filled with tenderness and affection.

Abigail held his hand and placed it on her belly, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him. "Honey, can you feel it? A little life is inside me!"

The arrival of this child was an unexpected surprise for Abigail. She almost lost it.

Fortunately, their bond was not that shallow.

Feeling the softness and warmth under his palm, Gregory's once cold heart seemed to be softened by something.

There seemed to be an emotion constantly surging in his chest, both sour and soft.

Gregory slowly bent down, placing his thin lips on Abigail's belly.

This kiss was full of sincerity, as if Abigail in his arms was the faith he would guard for life.

"Thank you, Abigail. This is the best gift you've given me," Gregory said.

Being stared at by his passionate eyes, Abigail suddenly felt a bit shy, her cheeks flushing slightly.

She scratched her head and smiled, "This is clearly a gift from God to both of us. Although I'm not ready to be a mom, I will do everything to protect it!"

Looking at her slightly flushed face, Gregory couldn't help but cup her face and kiss her soft lips.

Abigail was startled by his sudden kiss and quickly pushed him away. "What are you doing? We're in the hospital!"

With people coming and going, what if someone saw them?

Gregory couldn't help but chuckle, his hoarse voice carrying a hint of joy. "Don't worry, without my permission, no one will come in."

With that, he kissed Abigail's tender lips again, a smile spreading across his face.

Abigail shyly glared at him, pulling the blanket over herself tightly, leaving only her bright eyes exposed, darting around, mischievous and lively.

Gregory chuckled and ruffled her hair, saying helplessly, "Alright, I won't tease you anymore. You rest well, I'll go get some food."

"Okay!" Abigail nodded obediently.

Gregory looked away and got out of bed. He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, he wouldn't be able to control his desires.

After leaving the ward, he didn't go downstairs to buy food immediately but went to the doctor's office first.

Although Abigail's body was no longer in serious condition, she was still very weak.

Plus, with the pregnancy, sometimes she couldn't eat at all. Gregory was worried that if this continued, Abigail's body wouldn't be able to take it.

Seeing his furrowed brows, the doctor reassured him, "Mr. White, there's no need to worry. This is just a normal early pregnancy reaction."

But Gregory didn't feel relieved and continued to ask, "Really? But if she can't eat, how will she get the nutrients she needs? She feels nauseous and wants to vomit at the smell of meat. I'm worried."

"Morning sickness is a common symptom for pregnant women. During this time, she can eat more light foods," the doctor gave many instructions, finally emphasizing, "By the way, in the first three months of pregnancy, the fetus is not stable. Try to avoid sexual activity to prevent any harm to the mother and child."

Hearing this, Gregory's expression instantly became serious, and he nodded in agreement.

When it came to Abigail's health, he wouldn't take any chances.

After leaving the doctor's office, Gregory went downstairs to buy some porridge.

Abigail only ate a few bites before she didn't want any more.

Gregory looked at her worriedly and gently persuaded, "Can you eat a few more bites? Without food, you won't get the nutrients you need."

Abigail hesitated for a moment and reluctantly ate a few more bites.

After that, no matter how much Gregory persuaded her, she refused to eat any more.

Looking at the half-eaten porridge, Gregory sighed silently and put the bowl away.

Seeing his heavy expression, Abigail couldn't help but laugh softly. "Alright, I'm not as weak as you think. I just don't have an appetite right now. It'll get better in a few days."

Gregory stared at her for a while, then suddenly stood up and walked out. "You rest first. I need to make a call."

Abigail looked at his back, not understanding what he was up to. But less than half an hour later, she understood.

Looking at the line of chefs in the ward, each holding a different dish, Abigail fell silent.
