Chapter 390 Pregnancy Test Report

"Ralph, I'm heading upstairs now. You should get some rest too." Abigail waved at Ralph and jogged upstairs.

Watching her hurried figure, Ralph smiled and remarked, "Mrs. White is getting more lively, that's great."

He remembered when Abigail first moved to Maple Residence: calm, gentle, but often gloomy. Now, those days were behind her, and she was becoming more cheerful in her new life.

Thinking about how he had witnessed the relationship between her and Gregory, Ralph couldn't help but smile with satisfaction.

Unaware of Ralph's thoughts, Abigail returned to her room and discreetly hid something from her bag. After a shower, she watched a show, waiting for Gregory, who finally came home around eleven.

His handsome face showed signs of fatigue, but it couldn't hide his noble demeanor and the charm he exuded with every move.

Abigail opened her arms and gave a sweet smile. "You're back."

"Yeah." Gregory wrapped his arms around her slender waist and sat her on his lap.

"Why are you still up so late?"

Abigail wrapped her arms around his neck, her cool fingers brushing his furrowed brow, and explained, "I can't sleep without you here."

Gregory chuckled. "What could happen to me? You're pregnant now, and the doctor said you shouldn't stay up late. You can't do this anymore."

Abigail pouted and didn't respond.

Seeing her like this, Gregory knew she hadn't taken his words to heart.

Feeling a bit helpless, Gregory said softly, "The company's issues are resolved. You don't need to worry. Just take care of yourself."

As her husband, he wondered how he could protect Abigail if small matters made her anxious.

Abigail cupped his face and kissed him on the lips. "I know, but I can't sleep without you by my side."

Looking into Abigail's clear and earnest eyes, Gregory was momentarily stunned, then felt a wave of sweetness in his heart.

His gaze shifted to Abigail's full, rosy lips, and his eyes darkened slightly.

Abigail instinctively sensed a hint of danger, like being watched by a hidden beast, as if she would become prey in the next second.

Just as she was about to pull away, Gregory's hand cupped the back of her head.

Then, a flood of kisses enveloped her, mixed with Gregory's unique fresh scent, wrapping her in a deep embrace, making her gradually sink and unable to extricate herself.

Abigail blinked, transitioning from avoidance to enjoyment. When the kiss ended, she took deep breaths, her rosy, glistening lips captivating under the light.

Gregory's gaze lingered on her lips before he looked away, his tense hand showing bulging veins. Sensing his restraint, she tilted her head and kissed his chin.

Before Gregory could pull her back into his arms, she nimbly got off his lap. "I have something to show you. Don't move."

"What is it?" Gregory looked at her, his deep voice extremely hoarse.

Even from a distance, Abigail felt a tingling sensation in her ears.

Her cheeks flushed as she quickly took out the hidden item from under the pillow. "Here."

Gregory reached out and took it. When he saw what it was, his gaze froze. "A prenatal checkup report?"

Abigail nodded with a smile, pointing to the ultrasound image. "The doctor said our baby is growing well. Though not fully developed, the nutrition is excellent. Soon, we'll be able to hear the heartbeat."

Perhaps this was the magic of blood ties. Even though the baby's body wasn't fully developed, just seeing this ultrasound image filled her with a strong sense of happiness.

Gregory stared at the prenatal checkup report for a long time without speaking.

Abigail couldn't read his thoughts and pushed his chest. "What's wrong?"

Gregory snapped out of it and pulled Abigail into his arms, letting her lean on his shoulder. "I just feel emotional. I never thought there would be a child in my life, continuing our legacy."

"Are you happy?" Abigail looked up at him with bright eyes.

Gregory nodded, his tone more serious than ever. "Yes, very happy. Thank you, honey."

Hearing him call her "honey" made Abigail's ears tingle. "Then you have to treat me well. I have the baby to back me up now."

"Of course."

Late at night, unable to sleep, Gregory gently slid his arm from under Abigail's neck and gazed at the prenatal report. Though the image was just a tiny blob, his heart swelled with emotion.

He couldn't stop smiling, never getting enough. After a while, he snapped a photo of the report and shared it in the group chat.

Henry and Quinn were still awake and couldn't help but feel a bit speechless when they saw the picture.

Henry, not to be outdone, also sent Tricia's prenatal checkup report to the group: [Gregory, I'm going to be a dad too, and my baby is two months older than yours.]

After being overshadowed by Gregory for over a decade, who would have thought he would win in terms of baby size?

Feeling smug, his phone suddenly rang with a message from Gregory: [If you stay silent, no one will think you're dumb.]

Henry: [Gregory, are you mad? I got my wife pregnant on the first try. Who said I had sex problems before?]

Gregory facepalmed. How did he end up with such an embarrassing friend?

Seeing no reply from Gregory, Henry couldn't help but laugh.

But the next second, a message popped up: [You have been removed from the group chat.]

Did he have to be so petty?

Were they still friends?

Meanwhile, Quinn saw that only two people were left in the group and smiled helplessly.

He thought for a moment and sent a message: [Nice, the babies are healthy.]

Gregory knew Quinn never planned to date, partly due to his mother and disinterest in women. So, he saw Gregory and Henry's kids as his own and relied on them for his future. Gregory texted: [Don't worry, they'll definitely take care of you.]
