Chapter 62 No One Can Resist

After Abigail left, Gregory leaned against the bathroom wall with a bitter smile, frustrated.

He'd been too impulsive.

His plan was to ease Abigail into needing him. But her calm reaction to Olivia today made him panic.

So, he lost control.

Gregory wanted Abigail to see him as more than just a husband, to care and get jealous.

But she didn't seem to care about his relationships with other women.

This threw him into a panic.

Gregory took a deep breath, trying to calm down. He straightened his robe and left the bathroom.

Back in the bedroom, Abigail was gone.

Gregory noticed a missing pillow and bedding.

His face darkened, and he stormed out.

He found Abigail in a guest room on the second floor.

She was about to turn off the light when she saw him.

Feeling guilty, Abigail blinked and stayed silent.

Gregory sat by the bed, his voice cold with a hint of hurt.

"Abigail, why did you move here to sleep?"

She blushed, remembering the kiss in the bathroom. "It's nothing. I just needed some time alone."

Before tonight, Abigail saw their marriage as a formality. She never thought Gregory would kiss her.

Seeing her tension, Gregory felt nervous.

"Abigail, did you move here because you hate me?"

His heart was tight, his expression serious and cold.

"No," Abigail said quickly.

Gregory was so good. She couldn't bring herself to hate him. The kiss just threw her off, and she needed to think.

Hearing this, Gregory's frown relaxed, and he smiled.

Abigail said she didn't hate him. Nothing made him happier.

His voice softened, "Should I take that seriously?"

Abigail blushed and nodded.

It felt like a weight lifted off her.

She looked at Gregory, smiling. "Are you really that happy just because I said I don't hate you?"

Gregory's lips curved up. "Because it came from you."

Abigail didn't know how much Gregory had longed for her closeness over the years.

Finally, he got his wish.

Gregory cherished this marriage more than anyone. He asked, "When I kissed you, did you feel disgusted or repulsed?"

He asked, "When I kissed you, did you feel disgusted or repulsed?"

Though it was a tough question, he needed to know his place in Abigail's heart and test her boundaries.

Abigail didn't answer right away. She thought about it, 'Disgusted? No.'

It was her first kiss. Even after ten minutes, she could still feel Gregory's breath.

During the kiss, her mind went blank, and her heart raced.

Just thinking about it made her blush and her heart pound.

After all, no one could resist a calm, composed Gregory losing control and kissing them.

Realizing her thoughts, she felt breathless with tension.

'How could I think like that? Gregory is like an elder to me, someone I couldn't disrespect.'

Gregory didn't know she saw him as an elder.

Seeing her reaction, he curved his lips into a smile, and his eyes lit up with joy.

Abigail didn't dislike his closeness or reject his kiss.

This meant his efforts weren't in vain. Maybe he already had a place in her heart, and with time, he could make her fall in love with him.

With the tension easing, Abigail asked, "Why did you kiss me?"

Her voice was so soft that Gregory had to lean in to hear.

He met her bright eyes, his heart softening. "Abigail, you underestimate your charm."

Facing such a beautiful, innocent girl, no man could resist.

His intentions weren't pure. Even just standing there, she awakened his deepest desires.

He had been holding back, afraid of scaring her.

Abigail's eyelashes fluttered, and her cheeks turned red as she understood.

Gregory's desire was evident. He leaned in, eyes on her red lips.

Without makeup, they were bright and moist, shining under the light.

They looked like ripe cherries, tempting him.

As he approached, Abigail's breath caught.

All she could hear was their breathing and her heartbeat.

Sensing her tension, Gregory wrapped an arm around her waist and gently stroked her back, soothing her.

His lips were gentle, guiding her to open her mouth and let him in, filling every corner with his breath.
