Chapter 120 Go to Hell!
Olivia stormed off, her frustration palpable.
One thought consumed her mind: she couldn’t wait any longer. She needed to marry Gregory as soon as possible and become his wife. She was done with being bullied and humiliated.
But she knew she had to take it step by step. First, she had to get rid of Abigail, the obstacle. She opened WhatsApp, found Abigail's chat, and sent a message: [Let's meet up. I have something to tell you.]
Abigail received the message while having dessert with Tricia. She had planned to stay home and work on her thesis, but Tricia had dragged her out, claiming she was worried Abigail would get bored.
In reality, it was Tricia who was the one feeling bored.
Abigail had reluctantly agreed, changed her clothes, and had the driver take her to a dessert shop.
While chatting with Tricia, her phone buzzed. She saw Olivia's message and frowned, replying: [Sorry, I'm busy.]
Olivia, not giving up, replied: [Don't you want to know what I have to say?]
Abigail shot back: [No.]
Olivia stared at the message, gritting her teeth, and sent another: [I know who Gregory really likes. If you come, I'll tell you.]
Abigail frowned, unsure of Olivia's game. Meeting Olivia was probably a bad idea, but the message made her hesitate. She had always wondered who Gregory really liked. Now that she had feelings for him, she couldn't ignore it.
After a long pause, Abigail decided to meet. She needed to know what Olivia was up to and who Gregory really liked.
Seeing her agree, Olivia smirked. She sent Abigail the address of a coffee shop, then purchased a new phone and SIM card before messaging Gregory. Satisfied, she headed to the meeting.
...
When Abigail arrived, Olivia was already there. A waiter guided her to the second floor, where Olivia sat by the window, smiling and waving like they were friends.
Abigail sat down and got straight to the point, "What do you want?"
Olivia looked at her with disdain. "I told you, I can tell you who Gregory really likes."
Abigail smiled, unfazed. "Olivia, do you really think I care about who Gregory likes?"
Olivia frowned, firm. "That's exactly why you're here. Although you married Gregory, so what? Neither of us has made him fall in love."
Abigail's smile deepened. "Honestly, love isn't as important as everything Mr. White has given me. Whether Gregory likes someone else or not, I'm his wife, and that's enough."
Olivia was stunned, not expecting Abigail to say that. She studied Abigail's face, looking for any sign of lying. Yet Abigail remained calm and composed, betraying nothing. Did she really not care if Gregory liked someone else?
This realization made Olivia even more uncomfortable. She had hoped to drive a wedge between Abigail and Gregory.
Women knew women best; they couldn't stand betrayal and deceit.
Given that Abigail's mother had died despising a man like David, Abigail was bound to feel a similar aversion. Once doubt took root in her heart, jealousy would inevitably consume her.
When a woman got jealous, things would spiral out of control. Gregory would end up hating her, and maybe they'd divorce. Then Olivia would have her chance!
But Abigail wasn't falling for it at all!
Olivia was so mad she was grinding her teeth, but she forced a smile. "Stop pretending. I don't believe you don't care. Gregory carries a crystal hairpin in his wallet, clearly a woman's item. If you don't believe me, check it yourself."
Abigail's hand tightened slightly under the table, but her face stayed calm. "Thanks for telling me, but my relationship with my husband doesn't need your concern."
With that, she grabbed her bag and turned to leave.
Just as she was about to go downstairs, Olivia chased after her. "Abigail, you have no right to stand in front of Gregory. He's just temporarily infatuated with you. Once he sees your true colors, he won't look at you again."
Abigail slowly turned around, raising an eyebrow. "What are my true colors? I don't even know."
Olivia's eyes were full of contempt as she sneered. "Don't think I don't know. You must have slept with Gregory and used his sense of integrity and responsibility to marry him."
"Is that so?" Abigail's red lips curved as she lightly brushed her slightly messy hair and took a step forward. Though Abigail appeared petite next to Gregory due to his height, she was tall for a woman. As she approached, Olivia's arrogance faded.
Abigail spoke casually, her tone indifferent but her eyes challenging, "Gregory had to take the bait first. If he wasn't willing, who could force him? Ms. Parker, is it so hard to admit that I'm better than you?"
"You!" Olivia's face turned red with anger, and she was speechless. All her provocations seemed insignificant to Abigail. Compared to Olivia's panic, Abigail was much calmer. This only made Olivia look more like a clown in front of Abigail.
Olivia clenched her fists and sneered. "Abigail, just wait. When Gregory abandons you, don't come crying!"
Upon thinking of her plan, Olivia's mood finally calmed down a bit, and she slowly approached Abigail.
Abigail frowned. "What are you trying to do?"
"What am I trying to do? Of course... to make you die!" Olivia's expression suddenly turned vicious, but her voice was so low that only the two of them could hear.
