Chapter 162 Expulsion

Getting the school in trouble was one thing, but the real kicker was Abigail's identity. She was the President's wife at the White Group.

If Aramore University didn't handle this right, Gregory wouldn't let it slide.

The president was pacing back and forth in his office, yanking at his hair, trying to figure out a solution.

After a bit, a bunch of board members called, pushing him to squash the issue fast. If he didn't, his days as president were numbered.

Swallowing his stress, he quickly promised, "Don't worry, I'm on it. Our school won't let any student down."

After calming the board members, he rushed to the big classroom at the design institute.

He needed to talk to Abigail face-to-face to keep her calm and prevent any more trouble for the school.

In the classroom, Abigail looked at the already freaked-out Jessica with a slight smile. "So, got anything to say now?"

Jessica's hands were clenched into fists, full of hatred. She glared at Abigail. "Abigail, why are you doing this to me? Do you have to push me to the edge to be happy? Why are you so cruel?"

Abigail found her blame-shifting amusing. It was Jessica who stole her design and then accused her of plagiarism. Everything Abigail did was just payback.

With everyone watching, Jessica's face went pale. She bit her lip hard, her body swaying, unable to say a word.

Soon, someone shouted, "The president is here!"

The noisy classroom went dead silent, and everyone turned to the door.

The president walked in briskly and stood in front of Abigail.

"Abigail, I've heard about your situation. This has been a mess for our school. Rest assured, we'll take it seriously," the president said.

Abigail raised an eyebrow and said slowly, "Thanks in advance, Sir. I trust you'll be fair and just, right?"

The president's eyelid twitched and he thought, 'Is this a warning? How unlucky can I get? Just when things calm down, another problem pops up. Isn't the Allison incident enough? Jessica really disappoints me!'

"Jessica, get over here!" The president's roar echoed through the classroom.

Jessica's shoulders shrank, her heart pounding like crazy. With trembling hands, she pulled out her phone and messaged Roman.

Seeing Jessica standing still, the president got even angrier. "Jessica, I'm talking to you. Do you have any respect for school rules?"

Hearing this, Jessica quickly hid her phone and slowly walked to the front, facing the president's sharp gaze. She instinctively wanted to defend herself. "Sir, let me explain. It's not what you think. I didn't..."

Before she could finish, the president cut her off. "I've already looked into it. Do you still want to argue?"

Jessica opened her mouth but then shut it again. She didn't dare to speak anymore.

At this moment, Abigail suddenly said, "This is a video sent by my family's housekeeper. Sir, you might want to take a look."

The president glanced at Abigail and took her phone.

The phone showed a video.

A woman in her forties, dressed in a maid's uniform, was crying as she explained, "It was Miss Jessica Martin who found me, offered me money, and told me to sneak into the room to steal the designs from Miss Abigail Martin's computer."

The maid described in detail what the person who approached her looked like.

After watching the whole video, the president was livid, thinking, 'How could someone be so nasty? Is it really because Abigail isn't their biological child that they think they can treat her like this?'

The president looked at Abigail with a bit of sympathy in his eyes.As a father, just thinking about his daughter being slandered like this made him furious. He couldn't imagine how Abigail had put up with this for so long.

"Expulsion! Severe punishment! Our school will never tolerate students with such poor character!" As soon as he said this, the whole room went nuts.

Both students and teachers looked at the president in shock.

Since its founding, Aramore University had handed out severe punishments but had never expelled a student. Jessica had just set a record.

Jessica stood frozen, her ears buzzing, unable to believe what she had heard.

'I'm being expelled? No! I can't be expelled!' Jessica thought. She stepped forward, grabbing the president's coat, and pleaded in a low voice, "Sir, I know I was wrong. Please forgive me this time. I won't dare to do it again!"

She had worked so hard to get into Aramore University, hoping to get a high degree.

Even though, with her family background, she didn't need a high degree to find a job, being expelled would make her a laughingstock. She couldn't let that happen.

The president was firm. "There's no room for discussion, Jessica. If Abigail hadn't proven her innocence, she would be the one being expelled now."

In other words, she brought this on herself.

Jessica realized for the first time how terrifying those words were. She staggered a few steps, her legs trembling uncontrollably, looking pitiful and pitiable.

But the president had no sympathy.

In his eyes, the school's interests were paramount, and no one could threaten the school's reputation. Jessica's actions today had crossed his bottom line.

He turned to Abigail, his tone much gentler than before. "Abigail, rest assured, the school will clear your name as soon as possible."

Abigail smiled and nodded. "Okay, I trust you and believe the school will handle this fairly."

As the bell rang, the farce finally ended.

As soon as the president left, the previously quiet classroom erupted. Everyone started whispering.

Tricia was the first to rush to the front, grabbing Jessica's collar and slapping her hard. "Jessica, how can you be so vicious? If it weren't for Abigail's quick thinking, she would have been ruined by you!"

Seeing Tricia stand up for her, Abigail felt moved. But she quickly stopped Tricia, reminding her in a low voice, "That's enough. Everyone is watching!"

Although she said this, she didn't reach out to stop her. Tricia was standing up for her, and if she stopped her, it would be ungrateful.

Tricia knew her limits and only slapped Jessica twice. She sneered, "She should be grateful so many people are watching, or I would beat her to death!"

'No one can bully Abigail!' Tricia thought.
