Chapter 87 Willingly Being Used

Gregory changed clothes, tucked Abigail in, skipped breakfast, and told the driver to head straight to the hospital.

The driver nodded, started the engine, and drove off.

At the hospital, Gregory went straight to Olivia's ward.

Olivia was having breakfast in bed. When she saw Gregory, her eyes lit up.

She eagerly tried to get out of bed. "Gregory, you finally came! I'm so bored here. Can you help me get discharged?" she asked.

Her tone was playful, like they were close.

Gregory frowned, dodged her hand, and asked, "Did you say something to Abigail yesterday?"

Olivia's smile faltered but quickly returned. She blinked innocently and shook her head. "No, Gregory. Did Abigail say something?"

"Olivia, I don't have time for games. What did you say to Abigail?" Gregory asked coldly.

Olivia's smile faded, looking hurt. "How could you think that? Weren't you with Abigail the whole time? You should know what I said."

Gregory took a deep breath, realizing he might have acted impulsively.

He had no proof and felt stuck.

When it came to Abigail, he couldn't help but lash out.

Gregory's sharp eyes locked onto Olivia's. "Itreally has nothing to do with you?"

Olivia nodded. "Are you fighting with Abigail?"

"None of your business." Gregory stood up to leave.

Since Olivia wasn't talking, there was no point staying.

Seeing him leave, Olivia panicked, got out of bed, and grabbed his hand. "Gregory, don't go. Can you stay with me? I'm so lonely and scared here."

Gregory paused, looked at his hand, then shook off her hand.

"Doesn't Elaine visit you every day? Lonely? Scared? Really?" he said.

Facing Gregory's mocking eyes, Olivia stepped back, her gaze flickering.

Of course, she wasn't scared.

It was just an excuse to keep Gregory around.

She never expected him to be so unromantic and unresponsive.

Or maybe he saw through her and didn't want to play along.

She bit her lip, full of frustration, and asked, "What do I lack compared to Abigail? Why would you rather marry her than look at me?"

Gregory replied coldly, "Even if there was no Abigail, I wouldn't like you. Give up."

"I don't believe it. Before Abigail, you treated me as if I were special. Everything changed after she appeared." Olivia choked up, tears welling up in her eyes.

But Gregory never pitied the weak.

And if he did, it was only for Abigail.

Other women, whether they cried or laughed, lived or died, didn't matter to him.

He sneered, "Special? To you? Ms. Parker, I've already rejected you. I never accepted anything from you. And suicide only works on those who care. I don't."

His words cut deep, and Olivia started crying.

She stepped forward to grab his arm, but Gregory quickly stepped back, his eyes colder.

He said, "Sorry, I'm married. I need to keep my distance from anyone but my wife. If you have something to say, say it from there."

Olivia gritted her teeth. "Do you really think Abigail married you because she likes you? She's just using you to get back at Roman!"

Gregory's eyes narrowed, a smile playing on his lips. "So what if she's using me? At least I have value to her."

Olivia's eyes widened in shock. Was this still the cold and ruthless Gregory she knew? What had Abigail done to him?

Gregory, experienced in the business world, saw through her thoughts. He warned, "Stay away from Abigail. If I find out otherwise, you know what I'm capable of."

Facing Gregory's dark eyes, Olivia felt only fear.

After he left, her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground.

Elaine had made chicken soup for Olivia. When the elevator reached Olivia's floor, the doors opened, and Elaine was shocked to see Gregory.

"Gregory, why are you here? Are you here to see Olivia? I knew you wouldn't ignore her!" she said.

But Gregory just glanced at her coldly and warned, "Tell Olivia not to mess with Abigail, or don't blame me for what I might do to you!"

Elaine was too scared to speak.

It wasn't until the elevator doors closed and Gregory left that she came to her senses.

Thinking of Gregory's words, Elaine quickly ran into the ward.

She found Olivia sitting on the cold floor, lost in thought.

She hurried over to help her up. "Olivia, what did Gregory say to you? Why are you sitting on the floor? Get up."

Olivia stiffly raised her head, grabbed Elaine's hand, and said through gritted teeth, "Aunt Elaine, I can't wait any longer. I've worked so hard for so long. I don't want it all to be for nothing. Will you help me?"

Elaine looked surprised. "How do you want me to help?"

Olivia leaned in and whispered something in her ear.

Elaine's face changed dramatically. "That's not a good idea. What if we get caught..."

Olivia said, "Aunt Elaine, my parents passed away early. If they were still here, they wouldn't want to see me fail..."

Elaine's lips moved as if to protest, but she swallowed her words.
