Chapter 453 A Full Embrace
As Tom began to speak, Gregory suddenly kicked him, sending him to the ground with a dull thud. Tom's pupils contracted sharply, too stunned to react.
Tom clutched his chest, coughing violently, his eyes gradually turning sinister. "Gregory, do you still want to save Abigail or not?"
Gregory sneered, slowly stepping forward and pinning him underfoot.
His deep eyes were full of contempt. "Of course, I want to save her, but that doesn't mean I won't beat you up."
As he spoke, he bent down, yanked Tom up, and delivered a punch. A metallic taste filled Tom's chest as he spat out blood.
Seeing that Gregory had no intention of stopping, Abigail hurried down the stairs and softly pleaded, "Gregory, stop. If you keep going, something bad will happen to him."
Gregory snorted coldly, showing no concern for Tom's well-being. "He deserves it."
Tom's lowered eyelashes trembled, his hands clenched into fists at his sides, as an uncontrollable snarling face flashed in his mind.
Sharp, piercing voices echoed in his ears like demonic whispers, trying to drag him into the abyss.
"You worthless piece of trash, why don't you just die?"
"How did I give birth to such a useless thing? With your pathetic self, how can you compete with Gregory?"
"Tom, listen to me. Your father is the head of the White family. If you can get rid of Gregory, you'll be the future heir of the White family!"
These words wrapped around Tom like a curse, almost suffocating him.
Tom's fists tightened, his eyes bloodshot, and with all his strength, he broke free from Gregory's grip. "Yeah, I'm a bastard and I'm nuts, but I'm still better than you, Gregory. You only have what you do because of luck! Without being the White family golden boy, you'd be nothing! I can't accept it. Why won't he give me the time of day? Why won't he let me call him dad?"
Gregory and Abigail exchanged a glance, frowning slightly.
He had always known Tom was jealous, but he hadn't realized he was this deranged.
Abigail sighed and said coldly, "Tom, your background isn't your fault, but everything you've done is unforgivable."
Hearing Abigail's words, Tom's eyes flickered, and a self-mocking smile appeared on his lips. "You never know unless you walk in my shoes. But I don't blame you. I'll fight for what I want in my own way."
Abigail's lips parted as if to say something, but Gregory pulled her behind him.
Gregory glanced at her and said softly, "Don't waste your breath on him. Let Leo take you out; I'll talk to him alone."
Abigail hesitated, looking at him with worry in her eyes.
Gregory felt a warmth in his heart and reassured her softly, "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Just go."
Seeing him insist, Abigail had no choice but to leave.
Then, Gregory slowly walked up to Tom, looking down at him. "Get up."
Tom looked up, meeting those deep eyes, and was momentarily stunned. "What do you want?"
Gregory sneered. "You want the White Group? Fine, but you have to beat me first."
Tom was taken aback. "Are you serious?"
"Of course," said Abigail.
Tom swallowed hard, hesitating in silence, unsure whether to trust him.
Gregory waited quietly for his response. "I'll give you one minute to decide."
Tom gritted his teeth, looked up resolutely, and said, "Deal."
Half an hour later, Abigail sat in the car, waiting anxiously, but Gregory still hadn't come out, making her increasingly nervous.
She opened the car door, intending to go into the villa, but Leo stopped her before she could get out. "Ma'am, Mr. White instructed you to stay here."
Abigail frowned, her worry deepening. "I just want to check on him. Why hasn't he come out yet? Could something have happened?"
Leo's expression remained calm, but his tone was unusually gentle. "Don't worry. He is trained in combat; very few people can match him. Just wait a bit longer."
Abigail looked towards the villa entrance, her delicate hand gripping the car window tightly, her nerves still tense.
After a few more minutes, a tall, slender figure finally appeared at the entrance.
Abigail's eyes lit up, and she immediately pushed open the car door and ran towards him.
Gregory stood at the villa entrance, watching her run towards him, a smile appearing on his bruised face.
He quickened his pace, opened his arms, and embraced Abigail tightly. "Why did you get out of the car? Didn't I tell you to wait for me inside?"
Abigail huffed softly. "I was worried about you!"
