Chapter 321 Barbecue

Abigail quietly nodded, the smile on her lips deepening.

To her, "just this once" meant that it could still happen next time.

Gregory naturally didn't miss her little gesture.

He raised his hand and pinched Abigail's perky nose, his deep eyes full of affection. "I see you're getting spoiled."

Abigail chuckled and hugged his arm, clinging to him. "That depends on you spoiling me!"

Gregory said, "As long as you know."

The two laughed and walked into a barbecue restaurant.

Even though it was already past ten at night, the barbecue place was still bustling. Many people were gathered around tables, eating skewers and drinking beer, smiles on their faces.

There was an indescribable festive atmosphere here.

A certain billionaire CEO, dressed in a black suit and exuding an out-of-place elegance, had never eaten barbecue before, and his appearance immediately drew a lot of attention.

The owner enthusiastically came out and asked, "What would you like to eat?"

Gregory didn't speak, his eyes scanning the surroundings.

Although the tables and chairs were wiped clean, there were inevitably some spots with leftover grease.

With his cleanliness obsession, Gregory instantly lost his appetite.

Abigail quickly ordered some food and pulled him to a clean spot to sit down.

Seeing that Gregory hadn't said a word, Abigail asked, "Mr. White, have you never had barbecue before?"

Gregory shook his head, his thin lips pressed tightly together.

He couldn't understand the appeal of this unhealthy barbecue, not to mention the questionable cleanliness of the ingredients.

His face was stern, his whole demeanor radiating resistance.

Abigail couldn't help but laugh. "Mr. White, you'll know once you try it. Barbecue is delicious."

Gregory had always lacked this kind of excitement.

'It appears I will need to frequent establishments like this with him more often in the future,' Abigail mused. She believed he would come to love it.

Before long, the owner brought out the skewers, smiling, "Enjoy your meal. There's beer and soda in the fridge if you need it."

Abigail smiled and nodded. "Alright, thank you, sir."

The barbecue restaurant owner glanced at Gregory and quickly shook his head. "No, no, please enjoy your meal first. If there's anything unsatisfactory, do let me know."

Gregory's aura was too intimidating, and his attire was impeccably refined. The owner's attitude naturally became more respectful.

After the owner left, Abigail's slender fingers poked at the corner of Gregory's mouth, saying, "Mr. White, your expression is too cold. You'll scare people."

Gregory glanced at her and tried to lift the corners of his mouth.

Although there was no smile in his eyes, the cold aura around him dissipated quite a bit.

Abigail nodded in satisfaction. "That's better. Hurry up and eat. Barbecue is best when it's freshly grilled."

As she spoke, she shoved a skewer into Gregory's hand.

Gregory was silent. He looked at it disdainfully, not very hungry, but seeing Abigail eating happily, he tried a bite.

The savory, slightly spicy grilled meat with a hint of charcoal flavor was a bit strange.

Gregory took another bite and looked up to meet Abigail's bright, expectant eyes.

Abigail looked at him eagerly and asked, "How is it? Tasty?"

Gregory replied, "It's okay. Too oily, too salty, and the meat doesn't seem freshly slaughtered, not very fresh."

Abigail fell silent.

After thinking for a moment, Gregory added, "Well, at this price, freshly slaughtered meat is impossible. After all, the owner has to make a profit."

Abigail's lips twitched involuntarily, and she didn't want to talk to him anymore.
