Chapter 59 You Interrupted Our Married Life
The phrase Gregory least wanted to hear in his entire life was "Abigail is Roman's fiancée."
In the past, he used this phrase every day to numb himself and suppress his desire for Abigail.
Gradually, he learned to restrain himself and hide his affection.
But the desire that lay deep inside him could not be contained.
It grew uncontrollably like a vine in unseen places.
By the time Gregory realized it, it was too late. This desire had already spread throughout his entire heart.
But he couldn't do anything at that time because Abigail liked Roman. She was Roman's fiancée.
However, Roman didn't appreciate her, so Abigail finally returned to Gregory.
From the moment Gregory brought Abigail home, he silently made a decision.
One day in the future, he would change Abigail's identity from Roman's fiancée to Gregory's wife.
Olivia expected Gregory to react less strongly. She was startled by Gregory's gaze.
She couldn't help but take two steps back, revealing a frightened expression.
But soon, her fear was replaced by anger.
She questioned, "Gregory, Abigail is Roman's fiancée. Aren't you afraid of being criticized after people find out?"
Gregory laughed, his gaze icy.
Olivia felt a chill down her spine as she looked at his smile, so she stammered and asked, "Why are you laughing?"
Gregory said, "Ms. Parker, it seems your information is outdated. Abigail has long broken off her engagement with Roman. She is now my wife."
Then he looked at Abigail, his deep eyes filled with tenderness.
Olivia's mind went blank, and she could hardly believe it.
She thought, "They broke off the engagement? When did this happen? Why didn't Elaine mention anything to me?"
Olivia clenched her fists tightly. She dared not confront Gregory any longer, so she turned to look at Abigail.
In a cold tone, she said, "Even if you broke off the engagement, it doesn't erase the fact that you were once Roman's fiancée, Abigail. Can you really bear to let Gregory face criticism?"
Abigail frowned and replied coldly, "You are just an outsider. It's not your place to worry about this, Ms. Parker. I will take care of my husband, and I hope you won't come looking for him again in the future."
Olivia sneered and sarcastically said, "Abigail, the White family has been so good to you. Why would you betray them? Are you only happy when Gregory's reputation is ruined?"
Abigail didn't want to argue with Olivia, as she could tell that Olivia had feelings for Gregory. Although Olivia was stubborn, there was nothing wrong with having feelings for someone. But Olivia shouldn't have gotten into a fight with her. And Olivia also took on this arrogant posture, standing on a moral high ground to accuse Abigail.
Abigail directly threw herself into Gregory's arms and then smiled at Olivia. "Ms. Parker, do you have nothing better to do?"
"What do you mean?" Olivia frowned, not understanding why Abigail would say that.
Abigail laughed, but her eyes were cold. "Because you seem to have a lot to say about us. My husband and I don't care, so why are you so concerned?"
Although Abigail didn't know if Gregory had feelings for Olivia, she wouldn't let anyone bully her. Olivia was so angry that her face turned red, and tears almost welled up in her eyes. She choked back her grievance and said, "I just care about Gregory. I don't mean anything else. But you, why would you say such things about me?"
Abigail hugged Gregory's waist and rested her head against his chest. Her other hand lightly played with the delicate buttons on Gregory's shirt. After listening to Olivia's accusations, Abigail looked at Olivia and said, "I am his wife. He has me to care for him, so he doesn't need your concern. Otherwise, I would've thought you wanted to be his lover."
As Abigail spoke, she tilted her head back and winked at Gregory. Gregory lowered his head and looked at her with deep blue eyes filled with indulgence. He wouldn't even give a second glance to other women. In his heart, there was only Abigail from beginning to end. It's just that Abigail hadn't realized it yet; she couldn't understand Gregory's feelings.
Nevertheless, Gregory was still very happy because this was the first time Abigail had taken the initiative to hold his waist. It was an unexpected delight for Gregory. Gregory didn't pay any attention to Olivia's grievances and melancholy gaze. He slowly put his hand on Abigail's slender and soft waist.
Although Abigail appeared petite and delicate, she was well-proportioned. Where she should be curvy, she was voluptuous, and where she should be slender, she was slender. Her waist was so slim and soft that it was almost unimaginable. Gregory didn't dare to apply any force, afraid that he might accidentally break Abigail's waist.
Feeling the warmth in the palm of his hand, Gregory's Adam's apple moved slightly, and his eyes revealed a hint of affection.
Seeing how affectionate they were, Olivia cried even harder.
She was already beautiful, but now she looked pitiful and evoked sympathy.
Not just men, even as a woman, Abigail looked at them with some softness.
Unfortunately, Gregory only had eyes for Abigail and didn't even glance at Olivia.
Olivia gritted her teeth in anger. She didn't want to be called Gregory's mistress, so she could only awkwardly explain, "I didn't mean that; it was just my concern as a friend, Ms. Martin. You misunderstood."
"Oh, I see. My husband and I both appreciate your concern. Thank you. But I hope you don't come and care for my husband at night in the future, as it would disturb our marital life," Abigail said with a meaningful smile, her eyes filled with a hint of ambiguity.
Olivia wanted to say something, but no words came out.
She sobbed and ran away in distress.
Because she ran too fast, she stumbled and almost fell to the ground.
Her figure was in a miserable state.
Abigail awkwardly touched her nose, and she began to reflect on whether her words were too harsh.
She blinked innocently, looking up at Gregory.
"Gregory, Ms. Parker seems really sad when she cries. Did I say something wrong earlier?"
Pretending to be gentle, who couldn't do that?
Gregory lowered his head and happened to see the cunning in Abigail's eyes.
He laughed and then reached out to rub Abigail's head.
Over the years, many women had come to his side, and many of them played tricks in front of him.
Before, he felt extremely annoyed because those people only had greed, desire, and calculations in their eyes.
But looking at Abigail, he found her cute and innocent.
He thought for a moment, then hugged Abigail's slender waist and pulled her back into his embrace.
Abigail wasn't prepared, so she fell into Gregory's arms.
Their bodies were tightly pressed together.
Abigail could clearly feel Gregory's strong chest and the temperature constantly coming through the thin fabric.
She stared at Gregory in a daze, and her heartbeat inexplicably quickened.
Under Abigail's surprised and puzzled gaze, Gregory slowly bent down and smiled playfully,
"How could that be? You did great tonight, helping me get rid of an annoying person."
