Chapter 476 Going on a Date

Abigail raised an eyebrow at him. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing." Gregory smiled slightly, wrapping one arm around her soft waist and the other hand cupping the back of her head, then kissed her.

The broken sounds faded intermittently at the edge of their lips. "Just letting you feel who's sweeter."

Mumbling with her lips tightly sealed, Abigail had no chance to resist the man's urgent, passionate kiss. Dizzy and breathless from Gregory's scent, she opened her eyes and pushed against his chest.

Gregory sensed something, smiled, and released her, their foreheads touching. "How come after all this time, you still haven't learned?"

Abigail's cheeks flushed, unable to meet his intense gaze. The fervent light in his eyes seemed to melt her, carrying a strong sense of aggression.

She pouted, feeling justified. "I just can't learn, so what!"

Gregory's eyes were filled with affection. "It's okay, as long as I know. Since you can't learn, I'll spend a lifetime teaching you. You'll get it one day."

Facing those deep and focused eyes, Abigail felt her heart race and smiled contentedly. "Mr. White, you better keep your word."

"Yes, I will," replied Gregory.

Abigail said, "Liar, liar, pants on fire."

"Okay." Gregory looked at her with a smile, agreeing to whatever she asked with good temper.

Abigail felt embarrassed as she continued speaking.

She threw herself into Gregory's arms, her heart filled with sweetness. "Gregory, why are you so good to me!"

"Because you deserve my serious attention." Gregory planted a kiss on Abigail's smooth, full forehead, then stood up from the sofa with her in his arms. "Alright, go change your clothes. We're going out for dinner tonight."

Abigail's eyes lit up. "What are we eating?"

Gregory helplessly bent his finger and tapped her forehead. "Is the point what we're eating?"

Abigail clutched her forehead in pain, looking confused. She wondered if the whole point of going out to eat wasn't about what to eat, then what was it about?

The answer was the date, as they hadn't been on one for a long time.

Seeing her confused look, Gregory gently shook his head and carried her back to the bedroom.

Abigail chose a beige long dress from the wardrobe, tied her long hair up with a hair clip, giving off an indescribable gentle charm.

She applied a simple layer of lip gloss. Because of the previous kiss, she almost never wore lipstick when going out now.

Because even if she did, Gregory would "eat" it all before they left.

Abigail looked at herself in the mirror, satisfied, and walked out of the bathroom.

Gregory smiled and took her hand, his gaze pausing for a moment on her glossy lips, then he pretended to kiss her.

Abigail was prepared, quickly covering her lips with her hand, looking at him warily. "Don't mess around, or I'll have to reapply."

Gregory chuckled. "Even if you don't wear anything, you're still tempting enough."

Abigail blushed. "Stop talking nonsense, let's go. Weren't we going to eat? Let's go quickly."

Saying that, she hurriedly ran out.

Gregory's lips curved slightly; she really couldn't take a joke. Watching Abigail's back, he couldn't help but chuckle and followed her.

A few minutes later, they arrived at a high-end restaurant under the White Group. Just as they were about to enter a private room, a familiar voice came from not far away. "Brad Thorne, isn't this too much? You said you wanted to break off the engagement, and now you want to break it off. What do you take me for!"

Abigail paused and immediately looked at Gregory. "This voice, why does it sound like Roman?"

Gregory frowned slightly, looking towards the private room where the voice came from. "It does sound like him. Let's go and see."

Following Elaine's incident, Roman took her to Sovereign, but his engagement to Rachel remained intact. Visiting Aramore occasionally for Rachel, he was much more low-key, so Gregory didn't bother him. Now it sounded like Brad was going to break off the engagement?

At this moment, Brad's voice came from the private room again. "It's not that I want to break you up, but I feel sorry for Rachel. She likes you, but if you are to get married, you have to consider some practical issues."

After a pause, he seemed a bit reluctant, but finally said the rest, "Even if you're no longer the White family's heir, you were at least George's only legitimate grandson. But now? What do you have? No stable job. Are you planning to rely on Rachel to support you for the rest of your life?"

Roman was so scolded that he couldn't lift his head, muttering, "I have found a job. Although the salary is not high, it's not like I'm doing nothing..."

Brad interrupted him, "A few thousand dollars a month, can you support her? Rachel is the eldest daughter of the Thorne family. Any piece of jewelry costs tens of thousands of dollars. Can you afford it?"

Roman closed his eyes tightly, trying to suppress the humiliation in his heart, and said, "I understand. I will break up with Rachel."

With that, he turned and left.

However, just as he opened the door, he saw Gregory and Abigail standing outside.

He paused, realizing that his embarrassing situation had been witnessed. "Gregory."

He couldn't lift his head, his face flushed with shame, wanting to escape.

Roman never expected to meet Gregory and Abigail here.

He originally thought they would mock his miserable life after leaving the White family, but unexpectedly, Gregory just frowned and said, "Roman, is this all you've got? You're a White, where's your pride?"

Although he once looked down on Roman for being incompetent, he didn't expect him to be so unambitious. Humiliated like that, Roman didn't fight back; he simply endured it. Gregory wondered how Stephen and Elaine had raised him with so little pride as a White.

Roman couldn't lift his head, his nose tingling. "Gregory, I'm sorry."
