Chapter 255 The Capital of Willfulness

In the private room, the bodyguard stood in front of Gregory and said respectfully, "Mr. White, I have reported to the police as you instructed, and Jessica has been taken away."

"Good." Gregory's expression was indifferent, seemingly unfazed by the revelation.

The bodyguard hesitated for a moment and asked, "Do I need to notify the police station again?"

"No need. Even without our intervention, she wouldn't be able to escape." Gregory stood up from the sofa, his tall and imposing figure exuding a strong and cold aura. His thin lips curved slightly, and his eyes were filled with a cold and indifferent look.

Although the bodyguard was used to his ruthless demeanor, he was still so scared that he didn't dare to breathe.

When Gregory got home, it was already early morning. Abigail was still asleep, her small face buried in the blanket, looking both cute and soft. There was even a faint blush on her cheeks.

Gregory gently sat down on the edge of the bed and leaned in to kiss her tender lips.

After taking a shower in the bathroom, he gently pulled Abigail into his arms and fell into a deep sleep holding her.

The next day, Abigail slept until noon.

When she opened her eyes, the sun was already high in the sky, and the scorching light poured in through the window, making her feel very comfortable.

She lazily stretched, rubbed her groggy head, and slowly got out of bed.

At this moment, the phone suddenly rang. As soon as she pressed the answer button, Tricia's excited voice came through, "Abigail, look quickly!"

"What?" Abigail's reaction was slow, and she didn't catch what Tricia was saying at all.

Tricia had to repeat herself.

Abigail lay back down, turned over on the soft bed, and opened Twitter to check.

When she saw the dazzling trending topic "Poor Abigail," several question marks popped up in her mind.

"What's going on?" Abigail asked.

Tricia said excitedly, "Last night, Mr. White personally stepped in and taught Jessica a lesson. Jessica posted a video publicly apologizing to you online."

Abigail was stunned for a moment and quickly grabbed the tablet next to her, clicking on the video Jessica posted.

Seeing Jessica crying and apologizing to her, she uncharacteristically fell silent.

Ever since Michella passed away and David brought Kayla and Jessica home, she had been secretly bullied a lot.

At that time, she lacked the strength to fight back against them, leaving her with no choice but to endure.

But everything changed after she married Gregory, who provided her with a warm and loving home and insisted that, regardless of what happened, she needed to learn to love herself and fight back.

Gregory would stand up for her and seek justice whenever she was bullied.

This time was no different.

Gregory didn't say anything but quietly dealt with those who had hurt her.

Abigail stared at the video for a long time, her eyes unknowingly turning red.

Hot tears welled up and rolled down her cheeks, eventually disappearing into the white sheets.

Tricia, not hearing her response for a long time, couldn't help but feel a little worried. "Abigail, are you still listening?"

Abigail came back to her senses, wiped the tears from her face, and said with a slightly choked voice, "Yes, I'm here."

Hearing her cry, Tricia became even more nervous. "Abigail, are you okay? Why are you crying?"

Abigail replied, "I'm fine, just very touched. He has silently done so much for me."

Hearing this, Tricia let out a sigh of relief and teased, "Yeah, who doesn't know that Mr. White has been cold and ruthless for so many years, but he fell in love with you? Why don't you share some tips with me? How come I can't meet such a good man?"

Henry was about to find Tricia to check some data and happened to hear this sentence. His eyes darted around, and he quietly left.

Tricia didn't notice Henry's presence at all, her full attention on Abigail.

"Abigail, come on, tell me, so I can learn."

Abigail looked helpless. "There's no trick or experience. When I married Mr. White, it was purely by coincidence."

Tricia snorted and said, "I don't believe it. With Gregory's personality, do you think he would marry a woman just because he was afraid of being forced into marriage?"

Hearing this question, Abigail suddenly froze. Yeah, why hadn't she thought about this before?

Gregory's personality was cold and indifferent, and he never got close to women. This was well-known in the entire high society.

Even though Grace was concerned about Gregory's marital status, she would never force him to get married.

So why did he get married? The answer was almost obvious.

Abigail's heart inexplicably started to race, and she suddenly felt a bit nervous.

Tricia said, "In my opinion, all of this was Mr. White's long-term plan! Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that he appeared at Roman's cheating scene?"

Abigail pursed her lips, and her original drowsiness dissipated because of this sentence.

She quickly got out of bed and walked toward the door.

As she turned the corner in the hallway, Abigail accidentally bumped into a warm and firm chest.

She whimpered, covered her nose that was hurt from the collision, and looked up, meeting Gregory's deep eyes.

Gregory held her slender and soft waist to prevent her from falling, and asked in a low voice, "Why are you walking so fast without watching where you're going?"

"Mr. White." Abigail stared at him blankly, her long and thick eyelashes fluttering slightly.

Seeing Abigail's cute and soft appearance, Gregory felt his heart melt.

He tightened his grip on her slender waist and said in a hoarse voice, "Yes, I'm here."

Abigail blinked and complained, "You hurt me!"

"Let me rub it for you." Gregory was very gentle, using his rough and warm fingertips to gently rub her perky nose.

His actions were extremely gentle, as if he were touching a priceless treasure.

Abigail suddenly felt a pang of bitterness in her heart and asked him, "Don't you think I'm being unreasonable?"

"What?" Gregory raised his eyelids, the smile on his lips not fading, "Abigail is so good, doesn't she have the right to be a little unreasonable?"
