Chapter 368 Bad Timing

Abigail glared at him, her heart racing. Despite a moment of softness, she stood firm, determined to teach Gregory a lesson.

Seeing that Abigail wasn't falling for it, Gregory helplessly pinched the bridge of his nose.

Abigail had become smarter and harder to deceive. Gregory clung to a pillow in the corner of the large bed. The usually decisive Mr. White now looked at her with hopeful eyes, his intimidating aura gone.

"Do I really have to sleep in the guest room?"

"Yes, I mean what I say!" Abigail raised her chin proudly, unmoved.

Gregory slowly inched towards Abigail, gently hooking her hand with his pinky, softening his tone.

"Abigail, as your husband, I feel it's my duty to stay with you at night. What if you can't sleep alone and have nightmares?"

Abigail's lips twitched as she looked at the man in front of her in disbelief.

How had Gregory's skin gotten so thick?

Was this really the Gregory she knew?

Seeing Abigail's resolve waver slightly, Gregory quickly added, "I promise, tonight I'll just hold you and do nothing else."

As he spoke, he leaned in, his lips almost touching Abigail's earlobe.

Abigail's ears turned visibly red again, and she finally couldn't resist his strong advances, reluctantly agreeing.

"Fine, just this once, and never again."

Hearing this, Gregory's thin lips curved into a triumphant smile, and he gave Abigail a heavy kiss.

"I knew Abigail was the kindest."

Abigail snorted lightly. "You better keep your promise and sleep honestly, or no matter how you tempt me, it won't work."

Gregory looked at her and chuckled softly. How could Abigail be so adorable and irresistible?

After playing around on the bed for a while, they heard a knock on the door from outside.

"Abigail, I bought some desserts. Want to have some?"

Quinn's deep voice came from outside the door. Abigail quickly sat up, tidied her slightly messy clothes, and prepared to get up and open the door.

Just as she was about to get out of bed, Gregory stopped her.

"I'll go."

When the door opened, Quinn came in from outside, holding a delicate cake box.

He glanced at Abigail's flushed face and suddenly realized something, his steps halting slightly.

"Am I interrupting you?"

Hearing this, Abigail's face turned even redder.

Gregory, however, was much calmer, giving Quinn a faint glance and lightly saying, "Yes."

Quinn coughed lightly, feeling a bit awkward.

"Then I'll leave you to it. I'll go now."

With that, he quickly handed the cake box to Gregory and hurriedly left Abigail's bedroom.

Watching Quinn's awkward departure, Abigail threw the last pillow at Gregory.

"It's all your fault."

It was so embarrassing!

Gregory laughed, hugging the pillow, and walked over with a gentle and doting look in his deep eyes. "Weren't you the one who wanted to open the door?"

Abigail didn't react immediately.

It seemed that was indeed the case.

"Alright, do you want some cake? It's strawberry cream, from the most famous dessert shop in Aerilon."

Abigail's eyes lit up as she quickly got out of bed to grab the cake box. Gregory followed, smiling as she eagerly opened it on the sofa.

"Well, no wonder it's from a famous chain dessert shop. The taste is really unique."

Abigail took a bite, her eyes narrowing in satisfaction.

Gregory sat beside her, his eyes fixed on her, filled with gentle laughter and affection.

He straightened up and leaned in. "Really?"

Abigail quickly scooped another spoonful and brought it to his lips, commenting, "The cream is the freshest animal cream, sweet but not greasy. The strawberries are the best variety, sweet and tangy, better than any I've had before."

Hearing this, Gregory couldn't help but feel a bit jealous.

"Quinn's purchase is the best, and mine is just average?"

Abigail was stunned, realizing that Gregory was getting jealous again.

She sighed helplessly, cupping Gregory's cheeks and kissing him. "Nothing beats what you buy."

The soft touch of her lips, with the sweet scent of cream cake, was intoxicating.

Gregory's eyes darkened slightly, his voice turning husky. "I think so too."

Seeing his mood improve, Abigail smiled. "Do you want more?"

"You eat it yourself, don't eat too much, or you'll have trouble digesting." Gregory had never been much interested in such desserts.

If it weren't for Abigail's love for them, he probably wouldn't touch them in his lifetime.

Seeing Abigail so happy, he could only spoil her.

Abigail kissed Gregory on the cheek again, her voice soft and sweet. "Gregory, you're so good!"

After kissing him, she quickly retreated and happily continued eating. She was so happy that her white, tender toes wiggled in delight.

Gregory's face was left with a ring of lip marks.

Unlike the previous lip marks, this time it was white cream.

The moist touch lingered on Gregory's cheek, not fading for a long time.

He raised his hand, gently touching it with his fingertip, finding a bit of creamy white cream on his finger, and couldn't help but laugh.

After Abigail had her fill, Gregory didn't let her go to bed immediately but took her for a walk in the yard.

Although Abigail was reluctant, she followed him, thinking about all the food she had eaten tonight.

Just as they were about to go downstairs, they heard a heated argument from below.

Tricia's voice, filled with dissatisfaction, rang out, "Henry, why do you care so much? If I want someone's contact information, I'll get it. What's it to you?"

"How is it not my business, I..."

Henry's words trailed off as he met Tricia's clear and questioning eyes, unable to continue.

Tricia thought he was at a loss for words and felt even more justified.

She put her hands on her hips and sneered. "Go on, say it! I think you're just meddling!"

Henry, unable to bear it any longer, sprang up from the couch, his voice clear and resolute. "I like you, alright!"

Both of them froze at his words.

Henry, who was always composed, suddenly blushed.

Tricia was also stunned, full of disbelief, thinking she had misheard.

"What did you just say?"

Henry cursed himself inwardly for being foolish but also felt an indescribable sense of relief.

He clenched his fists and repeated, "I said, I like you! Did you hear it clearly now?"

After saying that, he didn't dare to look at Tricia's face and fled, leaving Tricia standing there in shock.

Henry liked her?

Did she hear that right?
