Chapter 124 What's in Your Mouth Is Sweeter

Abigail's heart raced as she met Gregory's tender gaze.

She shyly turned away and pushed a dessert toward him. "Try this!"

Gregory took a bite, savoring the creamy sweetness. He usually didn't like sweets, but this pastry was exceptional.

The dessert was sweet but not overwhelming, much like Abigail herself.

Unaware of Gregory's thoughts, Abigail asked, "Is it good? Sweet enough?"

Gregory's eyes darkened slightly. "Sweet."

Abigail beamed, licking her lips. "It's my favorite. Isn't it delicious?"

Gregory nodded, his eyes locked on her lips. The sight of her tongue stirred something deep within him, igniting a fire in his chest that spread through his body.

He leaned in and kissed her.

Before Abigail could react, his lips were on hers.

Between kisses, Gregory murmured, "But I think what's in your mouth is sweeter."

It took Abigail a moment to grasp his meaning. She blushed, wanting to say something, but Gregory's tongue silenced her.

His kiss was urgent and fierce, like a caged beast breaking free.

When he finally let go, Abigail felt weak, her legs trembling.

A laugh came from above her.

She looked up to see Gregory's amused eyes.

Fuming, she weakly punched him. "Stop laughing. It's your fault. We're in public!"

Her punch was more of a caress.

Gregory's smile widened. He grabbed her wrist, kissed it lightly, and said, "Yes, it's my fault. Mrs. White, you are too tempting. I couldn't help myself."

Abigail blushed again, refusing to talk to him.

What did he mean by "too tempting"? She hadn't done anything, and her clothes were conservative.

Excuses, all excuses!

What Abigail didn't know was that her mere presence was enough to arouse Gregory.

But he didn't plan to tell her that. She was too timid, and he didn't want to scare her away.

Gregory touched his lips, feeling his heart fill with warmth.

Abigail tried to pull away, but he held her tightly.

"Don't move," he whispered. "Let me hold you a little longer."

Abigail felt the room heat up and fanned herself. "Is it just me, or is it hot in here?"

Even with the air conditioning, she felt warm.

Gregory, resting his chin on her shoulder, shook his head. "Not hot."

He was lost in the moment, savoring her scent and softness, wishing he could hold her forever.

Abigail, feeling her ears burn, wondered why Gregory was suddenly so passionate. She could barely handle it.

After a while, Gregory managed to calm down and let her go. "Ready to go home?"

Abigail hooked his little finger and looked at him hopefully. "Can I take a dessert home?"

Gregory chuckled. "Aren't you full?"

She smiled. "I am, but I want one for later."

Seeing her eyes light up, Gregory agreed. He'd do anything to make her happy.

...

Meanwhile, the people who had defended Olivia felt awkward and embarrassed. They hadn't expected their support to backfire so badly.

"She tried to frame someone by falling down the stairs. How vicious!" someone exclaimed.

"I defended her, and now I just want to slap her," another said.

"Yeah, we almost blamed an innocent person! No wonder that guy doesn't like her. She's trouble," someone concluded.

Everyone started mocking Olivia.

The waiting staff, who had previously held Olivia in high regard, now felt uncomfortable. They had no idea she was capable of such cruelty.

Realizing the truth, they all took a step back from Olivia.

Feeling their judgmental stares, Olivia clenched her fists in frustration. Her plan had seemed perfect; how had it failed?

She had been aware that the surveillance was compromised and invited Abigail, hoping to plant seeds of doubt about Gregory in her mind. Even if Abigail didn't believe it immediately, the seed of doubt would eventually take root.

Olivia had also sent Gregory a location from a new phone, pretending to be Abigail. She hadn't expected him to show up right when she fell down the stairs.

But even after her dramatic fall, Gregory hadn't spared her a glance.
