Chapter 332 "She is my sister!"
The door to the ward was closed. Henry and Tricia exchanged glances, not understanding what had just happened.
Henry was the first to snap out of it and reassured her in a low voice, "Don't worry, I'll go out and check. You stay here in the ward and don't go out."
With that, he quickly left the ward.
In the corridor outside the ward, Quinn grabbed Gregory by the collar and pinned him against the corridor wall, his chiseled face full of anger.
"What did you say before? That you would never let Abigail get hurt again. And now? What is this?" Quinn demanded.
Gregory didn't struggle, staring straight at Quinn with a sharp, scrutinizing gaze. "I indeed failed to protect her, and I feel very guilty. But who are you to question me?"
He had noticed Quinn's unusual attitude toward Abigail before but hadn't paid much attention to it. From what he knew of Quinn, he would never betray him.
"Quinn, you're crossing the line." With that, Gregory pulled his collar out of Quinn's hand, twisted his arm, and pinned him against the wall.
Quinn struggled a few times to no avail and stopped moving.
When Henry came out, this was the scene he saw.
His pupils contracted, and he quickly rushed over, saying, "Gregory, Quinn didn't mean to say those things. We're all friends, don't act impulsively!"
Gregory sneered. "Friends? Are you sure he considers me a friend?"
As he spoke, he increased the pressure, causing Quinn to grunt in pain.
Seeing Gregory so angry, Henry quickly tried to persuade him, "Quinn, now is not the time to be angry. Your feelings for Abigail..."
This matter was too difficult to speak of. Henry had suspected it before but never dared to believe it. But seeing Quinn's behavior today, it was impossible that he didn't have other thoughts!
Quinn sneered but said nothing.
Gregory released Quinn and warned in a deep voice, "Don't think about things you shouldn't, or we won't be able to remain friends in the future."
Quinn moved his arm, his gaze dark. "Gregory, if you can't protect her, then let someone else do it."
When he received Henry's call today and heard about Abigail's car accident, he was frantic.
He had rushed over immediately after getting off the plane, not daring to waste a moment.
If anything happened to Abigail, he would never forgive himself.
He even began to regret leaving for Aerilon.
But to Gregory, his words had a different meaning.
Gregory clenched his fist and punched the wall behind Quinn, narrowly missing his face.
The collision of his fist with the hard wall made a loud noise, indicating how unsettled Gregory was. He warned in a deep voice, "From now on, don't think about Abigail. She's my wife!"
Quinn, however, was not afraid and met his gaze, sneering, "I will never stop caring about her because she's my sister!"
Gregory and Henry said in unison, "Sister?"
Their expressions gradually turned to shock, unable to believe what they had just heard.
Quinn glanced at them coldly and straightened his slightly wrinkled clothes. "What else did you think it was?"
Henry and Gregory were stunned, unable to react.
Gregory pressed his lips together, saying nothing, while Henry couldn't hold back, his mind swirling with questions.
He asked, "Wait a minute, you said Abigail is your sister? Then you must be David's..."
Illegitimate child?
'Isn't this relationship a bit too complicated?' Henry thought.
Quinn couldn't help but roll his eyes, ignoring the foolish Henry.
At this moment, Gregory suddenly spoke, "The Worthington Family."
"What are you talking about? Is Abigail related to the Worthington Family in Aerilon?"
Quinn looked at Gregory and slowly nodded.
In that instant, Gregory had figured out the relationship.
He had already investigated David's background, and any illegitimate children would have been born after his marriage to Michelle.
There was only one other possibility.
The man in the photo Elaine took was from the Worthington Family in Aerilon.
Henry looked at Quinn, then at Gregory, and said somewhat humorously, "Doesn't that mean Quinn's status has changed?"
Gregory gritted his teeth and shot him a cold look. "Shut up!"
Quinn echoed, "No one will notice if you don't speak!"
Henry fell silent, feeling aggrieved and not daring to speak.
Gregory turned his gaze back to Quinn and said, "Can you tell us everything now? When did you find out she was your sister? Also, your attitude is very strange."
Although Quinn was a child of the Worthington Family in Aerilon, he was only the illegitimate son of Caius Worthington.
Given Abigail's background, she should also be Caius's illegitimate daughter.
Although they were half-siblings and knew each other, Quinn had always been emotionally distant and never cared much for anyone. Why was he so different with Abigail?
Quinn pressed his lips together and said, "Abigail is not an illegitimate daughter."
Gregory's pupils contracted sharply, and his heart surged with waves of emotion. "What did you say?" he asked.
Quinn continued, "Abigail's mother, Michelle, I met her in Aerilon."
"What?" Both Henry and Gregory were too shocked to speak.
Gregory suppressed his emotions and said coldly, "Quinn, this is not something to joke about. Michelle had cancer, and it had spread. There was no way to save her. How could she..."
How could she come back to life?
Quinn took a deep breath and said, "This is a long story. You should know that the Worthington Family has been doctors for generations and has reached the pinnacle of medical skills."
Gregory pressed his lips together, suddenly having a suspicion. "You mean, the cancer diagnosis back then was all arranged by Caius?"
Such a thing was too unbelievable to be true.
Even though Gregory had experienced many ups and downs, he was still shocked.
Quinn nodded and said, "He is the most talented medical genius in the Worthington Family. It wasn't difficult for him to make Michelle's health appear to deteriorate and then fake her death."
'So the cancer was fake, and the death was also fake?' Gregory lowered his eyes, hiding the emotions surging within them.
"I heard that Caius gave up the position of head of the Worthington Family five years ago for a woman. Was that woman Michelle?" Gregory asked.
"Yes," Quinn replied.
